  1. lmao?? God doesn't need to bite any bullets. I know who I am. There's no one to be hurt by "it", and no one to bite any bullet, simple as that. I am Truth, I can't "face it". And "it" certainly can't "hurt the ego", because if awakening means anything, it means insight into the total and complete unreality of oneself as someone apart from God who would ever have to "face" anything. Biting bullets is still playing games there is absolutely no bullet to bite.
  2. You're an illusion too, don't forget that. "They" are not any different from you.
  3. Yes. Solipsism simply is not a good word - and even saying things like "your mind is all there is, this bubble is god", even that is extremely confusing and leads to "normie" solipsism because most people here are in it for the mental masturbation & the spiritual ego it gives them, there, I said it (again). See the problem is this: to most people, it doesn't matter what you mean. They hear you or Leo say "your mind is all there is". Someone who knows themself to be God doesn't need these videos, and someone who doesn't know themself to be God will not know what you mean anyway at best and at worst, get confused and depressed into oblivion. I wasn't talking about him or anybody else. I don't know what he did or did not realize, but he's well known on this forum to engage in endless mental gymnastics and when he suddenly makes a post about how he realized himself as God from religiously wathcing a video three times on solipsism, it's probably a good idea to dig a little bit, don't you think? I wasn't talking about you either but there are more than enough people who are lonely or feel like going insane because of solipsism.
  4. Not sure what you mean by the "hierarchical claiming of what can't be grasped". Do you mean this in the sense of "higher / lower consciousness"? Or more like spiritual one-upmanship? I'm frustrated with the way these issues are treated here, which is causing a lot of problems for a lot of people, the main one obviously being solipsism. There's too much immaturity here and I don't know if it's the demographics of the Youtube or what, but immaturity, egoism, spirituality and strong psychedelics are just not a good combination.
  5. @mandyjw Haven't you read my little rant?? Even without it, I've made my position on this more than clear in the past
  6. Wouldn't be so sure about that. In fact, let me rant a little bit here. I would bet my left nut that there are more people here on the forum and in Leo's following who think they're awakened, but are actually delusional solipsists who believe their finite mind to be the whole of reality because their un-integrated spiritual ego has totally corrupted the mechanism by which they sought/seek Truth, namely what they perceived to be "direct experience", but which, because of the corruption, is not at all direct experience, but a perception of reality filtered and (mis-)interpreted through the finite ego-mind (I've talked about this extensively yeterday in Someone Here's post) that then proceeded to inflate itself and latch itself onto "experience". That's what I honestly believe and I feel very sorry for all the people (and yes, there are no other people), who, like myself, had (and some still have to, some will have to) go through this absolute hell of solipsism because a) they weren't ready for it (not yet sufficiently integrated), thus their mind/ego corrupted what was supposed to be insight into the nature of No-Self & nonduality b) the use of language is absolutely crucial, and on this forum, a lot of people just don't give a f*ck about how they comunicate these dangerously powerful ideas to others, with Leo leading the way (although I think he's working on that, so props where props are due) and people parroting him, because they think it sounds cool and awake. If it's a "tough pill" for you to swallow, then sorry, you're still missing something. A tough pill to swallow is probably a sign that, yes, you got something right, but in a wrong way. And if you're lonely, you're not awake either. We're all alone together. No f*cking wonder that big spiritual egos would dismiss the importance of no-self. Rant over.
  7. Exactly! Solipsism is a kind of Monism... the Monism of the finite mind. Totally agree. Actually, yes, that's precisely what Leo says. He says that his mind is all there is. Well there you have it, that's why no-self is crucial. That's how the ego corrupts insights and turns nonduality into solipsism.
  8. So basically the world has become your extended body? Something like that?
  9. @Someone here Could you describe your sense of self? I'd appreciate an extensive, detailed description??
  10. In enlightenment, you're dead. There's no you left. You have realized that you are nothing, and everything is nothing. And don't let people fool you when they hear someone say "there's no you" and then they immediately reply "yes, you do exist!! you are everything!!" Well I got news for you: yes, you are everything. But in many of these cases, that "everything" can very well be a projection of ego onto a "larger" self, which is the case in normal solipsism. It's a case of "inflation", where the ego simply latches on to the finite mind and then claims it & itself (it projects itself onto the whole of finite experience) to be God as in "finite consciousness is everything there is". No-Self is probably the central insight - and of course, No-self has many "aspects" to it, like Love, Infinity, Everything... If Infinity doesn't mean "No-Self", then it's not Infinity and not enlightenment. Infinity simply means "no boundaries". It doesn't (just) mean "all possible experiences at once" (there are no "all possible experiences", strictly speaking), which is what some poeple believe the word to mean. Consciousness (you) are infinite as in: you have no boundaries and no limits, in no dimension. That's where the whole omnipotence / omnipresence stuff comes from, and of course, it's true. Consciousness is omnipresent (or as Shunyamurti says: "omnicentral"). Same goes for Love; No-Self = Love So yeah. Solipsism is based on a self. And this self can assume vast dimensions and make claims like "I am God" without actually knowing God, but instead just projecting itself onto finite experience and thereby claiming that to be everything there is (I am everything, as this finite "bubble", this is all there is). It's a highly dualistic doctrine. Enlightenment = No-Self, which is the same as God - and if No-Self isn't emphasized by whoever claims to know God, I'd be very suspicious... No-Self = No boundaries (Infinity), no finite "bubble", no "figments of imagination", no "POV", none of that. Also, No-Self = no problem. So there's no "though pill to swallow". So long as there is, you're missing something... Missing something!!, not "got something wrong". You might got things right, but only partially, hence the feeling of "having to face the Truth". Which inevitably will be the case, almost nobody gets all of it in one fell swoop, so keep going until there's neither you nor problems left. You ARE the Truth, there's nothing for you to face.
  11. In direct experience, Solipsism is nowhere to be found. In direct experience, POVs are nowhere to be found, neither "my", nor "your". Solipsism is literally just a concept, like "three". There's no such thing as "three". That's why direct experience is absolutely crucial. Solipsism is not direct epxerience, it's mind & illusion. Solipsism is a projection onto "experience" (which is also projection).
  12. Direct experience would not tell you that the moon, or one side of it, is a circle. That would be just as far off as believing the moon to be a sphere.
  13. @Someone here If I told you to insepct the moon in your "direct experience" and you replied to me "the moon is a circle" - would that be truthful?
  14. That's too bad, sincerely. I was hinting at the possibility that "direct experience" might not be what you think it is and that delusion finds its way into ones life by a misunderstanding of what it actually is. Things might not be what they appear to be. I watched some of the video before it went offline, but that's irrelevant, that pointer is long exhausted for me. I just like watching Leo's stuff on Sunday mornings??‍♂️
  15. @Someone here But I'm asking you, because the meaning of "direct" experience is very, very, very important - in fact, it's the most important tool we have for avoiding delusion. And if one doesn't know what direct experience actually means, then ones fundational and most basic, most important understanding will be corrupted - and this opens the gate wide open for severe delusions and beliefs. Yes, direct experience is "this". But then again, if one has a corrupted / twisted understaning of direct experience ("this"), delusion is unavoidable. It's no accident that Solipsism is precisely that; namely, the result of a fundamental misunderstanding of what direct experience actually points at. Hence my question about what you believe direct experience to be. Because that's the whole trick; one can believe direct experience to be something which it is not. If the foundation (ones understanding of what "direct experience" is) is crooked, then the whole house will be crooked, and all the more so, the higher one builds. And delusion is characterized by a blindness to the delusion and the utter conviction that one isn't deluded.
  16. Yeah, but why not just call it "experience"? What is "direct experience"?
  17. Haha I love that one? what a lovely post-modern way of talking.
  18. Dear @AdeptusPsychonautica , dear @Inliytened1 If you have something constructive to contribute to this thread, I invite you both to do so, but if you intend to fill the rest of this thread with your, frankly, pointless debate about nothing, I would kindly ask you to refrain from doing so, or at least transfer it to your PMs, if it's really that important to you. Kind regards, Tim

  20. Ego death could be regarded as enlightenment. Depending on how one frames it, no-self can be regarded as the central aspect of enlightenement - but then again, it's the exact same as Infinity and Love. Seen from a different point of view, ego death doesn't happen because the ego was an illusion to begin with. There really is nothing that could die, you're smack in the middle of enlightenment right now. But it's the recognition of this, that is what is generally considered as "enlightenment". Although even to speak of a "recognition" or "realization" or "becoming conscious of" is still not "full enlightenment" (which is the same as no-enlightenment) in my view and the big punchline still awaits those who think they're enlightened - or that they could ever have been un-enlightened. You are enlightenment, period. No work and no realization will ever change anything about that. Spirituality is one big game, at the end of which you will find yourself in the exact same place where you started. It's a total, perfect mindfuck.
