@Matt23 this is great. I love the your ego is so fat jokes idea -
@Michael569@The0Self Sorry @The0Self i can't remove the tag. @Michael569 of course i will give it a try but i will build it up slowly with 1 day water fast then 2 then 3 and then 1 day dry fast. It will take a while but when i do i will share how it went. @Leo Gura ok then my mistake. From what i read when you dry fast the body uses fat to use as water. I don't really understand how this works. In your latest blog video you mentioned that dry fasts are dangerous. Why is that? Could even 1 or 2 days of dry fasting be dangerous? Should i really water fast for more than 3 days to see any benefits?

@The0Self there is even more money to be made producing 20 different drugs for countless people to take their whole lives... What if just fasting could completely heal people? Would they let people know? I don't think so. I am very convinced of the benefits of fasting for overall health or even for reversing illnesses. Of course without studies there are doubts and labeling it as newagy. Many traditions knew about this long ago. I first learned about fasting from Deepac Chopra in a book about chronic fatigue and ayuverda many years ago. This book was a gem and teached me alot of things. I will just experiment and find out for myself but of course i'll start slowly.

Good info thanks. So i did search for this. In animals studies fasting was very helpful. Unfortunately there are not any serious studies in humans. Of course. Why should they if they don't make a profit from it... It seems that fasting can be very beneficial in my case. No infos about dry fasting for my case though. I will definitely experiment with fasting. For sure better than start taking harder drugs.

No i don't expect a miracle if you mean that. I see it as a powerful tool for good health that i am not using and want to know more about.
-
@The0Self to detox. I have the same expectations as for the benefits of a water fast. This is just a more hardcore fast that could bring the same results faster. I do have a health problem and want to see if i will see an improvement. Have you fasted before? I don't plan to do it right now as i still have other things to take care of and i will probably start easy with one day water fasts. I just want to hear the opinion of others that have tried it or know more about this.
-
@The0Self of course 1-2 days won't kill me but will i see any benefits or can it make things worse?

I have only the barebones of the routine i want to have and this is a cold shower. It completely transforms my day. Start with warm water and switch to cold in the end. One arm then second arm, one leg then second leg, take a deep breath hold it and over the shoulders. Just do it don't overthink it. Work your way up to the coldest setting and to stay longer. Then a cup of green tea with lemon while reading a book, maybe meditating if i feel like it and then a perfect breakfast that has 5 fruits among other good stuff.

You are very lucky! I would say live your wildest fantasies until you exhaust them and then meditate in your dream I'm sure there are alot of books about lucid dreaming but i don't have one to recommend. Do a google search and pick a few. -
I prefer ebooks because i don't need to wait for them to arrive, don't take any space and i can read everywhere because there are on my phone. With kindle it's easy to make notes and highlight stuff. Physical books have another beauty though. I'm thinking about starting buying physical copies of the best books i ever read.

Can you really blame me for wanting to break out of this shit? My family having financial problems fucked up my life. I got sick and my sister got sick. I didn't have enough to eat at some point and i had to move to a new country that i hate. I have to keep working at slave jobs that destroy my health. Excuse my language but i'm fucking angry. If my family wasn't poor i would probably be married by now and not sick. I wouldn't experience a fucktone of stress. Of course there are worse situations than mine i don't want to hear it. It seems to me that educating myself about crypto investing could make me rich. I would be a fool to not act on it. This is not something that interests me too much. I don't really care, i just want to be free. I want a good life. I would like to make games for a living. I feel that i am just daydreaming. The amount of work i have to put in is enormous. If i was really financially free i would be able to enjoy it fully. Should i study investing or should i focus on inventing something? I just can't keep on wasting my life. I want to get the fuck out of this rich country and back to my country but i can't do that without alot of money.

@Nahm i would lie if i said that i understand what this point of view is. Are there many povs? As i understand it solipsism means that there is only one pov and how i see it is that there are infinite povs which come from the same source, the one. My understanding for this topic clearly lacks to be honest. I just believe that it is better to feel and be than getting lost in a theory that could even be the truth. This truth seems to be coming from the mind. -

This sounds like a good explanation of a problem that thank god i never experienced. It is scary af to think like this. I think that solipsism is a mind made problem than can go away by stop thinking and start being. I think i got a glimpse of solipsism from the guided medidation to realize you are god video. No thank you. I have no need to create this fear even if it's the truth. Did anyone in here became solipsistic before learning the concept of solipsism? This is just something extra that needs to let go off. Of course this is my newbie pov. There are countless things to learn. Maybe i will end up being solipsistic one day who knows. -
Taking care of his health, able to control emotions, enjoys life, helps others.

Alan watts killed himself or so i heard. I don't know either man. I just believe that it could potentially be bad for your survival. I'm just mental masturbating. Find out for yourself. -

This is isn' t stupid if you see the others as yourself. If you really eliminated your suffering this is how you would see the world. It is not just an idea. Not everyone is ready to let go of ego. If you stop being concious for whatever reason the backlash can be really strong. -
BlackMaze replied to Leo Nordin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Nordin basically what i just said. That i will put the well being of others above myself. It is beautiful but at the same time you others can get advantage of you and being empathetic towards everyone is heavy. It can take it's toll on you. Eliminating the suffering of the world is beautiful but very hard. I am also aftaid of huge ego backlashes. -
BlackMaze replied to Leo Nordin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Because it's fucking scary. Because in some cases my survival will not be the highest priority. I want to experience a good life and to do that i need to have some ego and be a devil at least a bit. I'm not ready to be a saint. I am not ready to completely let go of my ego. Imagine that you have a shotgun and a lion wants to eat you. What if you care so much about the lion that you don't shoot it and let it eat you? This would be the completely egoless state in my mind and of course probably noone is there. But think about it. What if you care so much about the whole that you sacrifice your life?
