  1. I don't know, when i see it i just point it out and laugh.
  2. A big part of my awakening process was gaining an awareness of synchronicity. I went from thinking that coincidences were either random, or made by human interference, to seeing that it is actually a deeply spiritual thing. I now frequently notice synchronistic events. Do you pay much attention to coincidence? What do you think causes it?
  3. Higher consciousness can contain more suffering. Is that not correct? I think though that it is easy to find fulfillment at a lower level and not developing. Likewise it is difficult to be highly developed when others aren't. How do you think level of consciousness relates to suffering?
  4. Another thing... I think being at a higher stage allows one to deal more easily with suffering, so they allow more for themselves. I can see a great suffering in those with high consciousness. My life is rather dull unless I am psychotic. And the environment fights me from becoming that way. I don't even know why it's called psychosis, it is me exploring frontier consciousness, organically tripping, elevating my consciousness. Yet it has caused me great stress from lashback. The working world doesn't suit me, the society around me doesn't suit me, and it's getting increasingly difficult to find relevant information in the physical world. There are other reasons too, but I suffer. I know life after earth will be much better.
  5. I think so yes (on average of course).
  6. Whether suffering drives evolution, it's not what i was saying. Yes being in poor circumstances leads someone to often try to better their circumstances. Too high... well if one is in an orange society, but is much higher, one will feel unfulfilled because of having to play the orange game, without much higher outlets. Stuff like that.
  7. Does anyone else think there is a lot of turquoise in science, for example quantum physics? I feel like artifical intelligence is an attempt to manufacture infinite consciousness. Or collective 9th circuit. Why not focus on spirituality instead? Speak to spirits, not computers.
  8. The Self as opposed to the ego is often described in paradoxical statements like you mentioned. You are describing the rise of Self over ego. Self transcends by see through the eyes of others so you become the human collective. You are wondering where to go now? Study spirits and spirituality, ecology, spiral dynamics, 8 circuits of consciousness. Work on developing your spiritual senses. Psychic abilities, transformations. The absurd will come to life when your self experiences calamity.
  9. Uh. Did you just say you regret advice that succeeds? What on earth. Yep, try to see that one in a more positive light.
  10. No thats not what i mean. I am saying the suffering results from being at a consciousness level too high for your surroundings, not that the suffering is driving the thing. However, there is a kind of longing for paradise that is driving the plan. The longing gives the desire, then you have to set it in motion through exertion. The metacognitive levels of Self and above are generally not trained for in society. Higher education sometimes gets at it, but for the most part, once you start looking for needs above esteem, they will be harder and harder to come by. I personally don't know how to meet my needs to get to the next level, i am just waiting for the next wave of inspiration.
  11. I mean dissatisfaction. Not wanting to be in ones circumstances. This increases as one departs from the world. Mind i mean very generally. Psyche perhaps. The part of ourself that is the thing going up these stages.
  12. Ok, that pathway is different from what my models says, but i can partly relate. I think this suffering results from not being able to live at the level that our mind is capable of. I had a major breakthrough at 20 and then again at 21. This i identify as being different stages of green, which is why it might help to divide that level up.
  13. I can go 2 levels beyond circuit 8, so a hypothetical 10th circuit, but if i could sustain it all the time i wouldnt be sitting here discussing the model. Edit View the culmination of these models as generally being cosmos centric, and then perhaps one higher stage. Coral, infinite mystery, higher circuits, deeper layers of the collective unconscious or self transcendence. That is the frontier of these models. Beyond this, synchronicity helps. *cosmos centric is turquoise, 8th circuit, cosmos (Pod'lair), and has been associated with self transcendence
  14. I just realised, that at each stage, a person will still seem like they are at the stage below, because they havent learnt the level well enough to embody it. However after a few years of activation, you will be able to embody it. I am viewing the stages in terms of different psychological modes of being, but also behavioural manifestations and associated cultural elements.
  15. Were you actually developing turquoise at 19, or were you just aware of turquoise philosophies for instance? I was heavily yellow at 24, but i was researching yellow things from age 15 or so. Its just i couldnt understand the essence of those things at the time. 8 circuits of consciousness was a good model for when i was activating circuit 8. Pod'lair (and other things) got me through to infinite mystery. When i stumbled upon spiral dynamics, it sounded to me like i was newly into turquoise. Now i have progressed at least one level, maybe 2.
  16. I have mainly just had a constant sense of time, but for a brief time i experienced time going faster and slower. A fast paced high pitch song sounded slow paced and low pitch. Other than that, i may be missing the meaning of the question somewhat.
  17. Ugh I'm confused again about spiral dynamics. I can see how my personal development lines up with SD, with the exception of green. I can see how i was orange at 17. I was an achiever. Then i went through a massive shift. A few years later i was cosmocentric. I went through a few big changes in that time period. I can see how i was yellow when i was 22 or so, but my green phase seems different? I have journals from this time, so when i find them i will get s better idea of my worldview at that time.
  18. I use the term self actualisation as synonymous almost with terms from other models, which i line up in a similar way to the universal metamodel, as shown on medium.com. So it is Self from Jung, shiny baby from Pod'lair, 5th circuit from 8 circuits of consciousness, and it is probably green in SD, but is closer to the stage the individualist, from a similar model. So i do mean it as Maslow meant it, but only somewhat, because i am focusing on other models simultaneously.
  19. I think this is because it perverts the truth. This means it creates conditions for the belief that things that are bad aren't actually bad. A prideful person is basically lying to themself about what is true. They know deep down they are doing this but it can be hard to confront, due to the faulty perception that a false belief creates. They get attached to the picture of the world they have created, and dont want to reassess their position when confronted with the truth. An acceptance of the truth whatever it may be, in particular truths you may not like to hear, is key to ridding oneself of pride. Edit: also, i believe i misrepresented lust earlier. It is not just sexual but takes other forms. I think it is the coveting of the 10th commandment.
  20. I don't know too much about the relation between SD and this issue. You are looking at red territory. Using blue and orange can help. Basically this would invole dealing with negative emotions, finding a passion and/or partner, and adopting a mindset of moving forward despite obstacles. Going for a higher level understanding, such as yellow, what you would want to do is frame the issue in a broader philosophical context. Instead of punishing the wrongdoers, the focus is on empowering the victim to take control of their life and heal. A key issue here is transcending. You want to, i think, help people transcend what was done to them, or on the other side of things, somehow get the wrong doer to snap back into reality/morality so that they stop doing it. I would focus on educating people regarding how to avoid such circumstances. Karma, i would say, deals with the punishment. It's worthwhile to punish wrongdoing in our society too, one reason being to speed up the job and prevent reoccurrences. But, as many have already commented, it would be best to use a positive motivation, and seek to help people elevate to higher states, whether this is overcoming trauma, or developing better morals. Remember, all people are worthy of love, but some choose to act against it. Love should be key, from all directions. Again, with spiral dynamics stages, make use of the higher levels through increased perspective on the issue. Really give thought to why these things occur and how they can be overcome. Also, look into moral systems, such as that of Christianity. What is the essence of sin? (Going against love?) Why do people sin, and how do we change this? Is it better to focus on a subset of sins, or on sin in general? Spend more time thinking about the problem of evil.
  21. We have a soul. I don't know if the soul can be in a state of 100% non-awareness, but the fact that I can raise the question seems to suggest that it's possible (note: I don't recommend using that line of reasoning at home). Even in deep sleep we have awareness, it's just a different kind of awareness. We aren't processing things in the same way so we don't have memory of events taking place. I really doubt that consciousness just "switches off" because you're asleep. Rather, it changes in form.
  22. If you're just being stimulated by it, then it's fine. But doing something that you know will offend someone? Think it over. Pursuing a person for sex is lust (ie the sex is the purpose, not sex in the context of love), so a strong desire in your heart for sex with a person is wrong. That's because it's objectification, and contradicts love. Always act with love and grow in love.
  23. I don't see the point to it. Self actualisation is one rung on the ladder of elevated consciousness. Yes, it is a Self focus, as opposed to ego focus. Then you self transcend, and the Self falls away as well.
  24. For me, actualisation was an overhaul. My life seemingly did collapse, because i was building a new foundation. First i was analysing myself through personality types and finding a partial life purpose through that, but events in life caused the process folowing that to be extremely difficult. My relationships fell apart, i dropped out of university (temporarily), and was filled with regret over my past. I basically went crazy, until it reached maximum pressure and i was in the psych ward. Afterwards it was like i had a new life. I was a new person, and lamented the loss of my old personality. Since then i have been going through the self transcendent sequence. Self, humanity, earth, cosmos, and beyond into mystical/mysterious territory. When i actualised i didnt have money under control, and i still don't. I had to have a life overhaul before i could get back to forming relationships. Actualisation can be traumatic, and can demand full attention. Evaluate and change your life from within, then let the rest follow.
