I'm jealous of my friends doing better than me. They have got jobs and doing good in life while I am still depressed and unable to do anything. What should I do..? I feel really terrible seeing instagram selfies of my friends daily. They are doing really better than me.

Is it a pillow or some form of mat? Could you please recommend me some good material I could use? Something that could keep me in posture without hurting my knees or making my leg numb? And please dont say I don't need anything. I have a little bit of scoliosis so I need better equipment

@mandyjw thanks! this answer makes sense. I dont exercise alot. Yoga might help and the buckwheat cushion. Do u sit in half lotus position? And how many minutes do u meditate?

I guess I have to agree with what leo said there. You haven't met anyone smarter than you probably... infact there are alot. There is always someone better than you. That's cold hard truth man

@Nahm I've inspected it thoroughly. It's my parents. They don't want me to meditate because they fear I will turn into a sage. I've tried convincing them so many times but its fruitless. The society (neighbors) believe I have gone mad and insane doing all this and tell my parents to take me to mental asylum, can you imagine that lol? So I had to quit forcefully. They are wrong. My life is getting ruined but they are too ignorant and unwilling to learn. I'm from India.

@Nahm I want to live the self actualized life but no one is supporting me in the society. They are all against me. That's why I said this path is way too thorny for me. Not being able to walk down this path is causing more suffering so I wanted to know if self actualization was really necessary... and yeah my dad taught me that lol
