  1. Not that they don't exist, but it's debatable where they come from. One theory suggests that they come from the body itself, not from the environment. And the difference between viruses would be due to the different external forces that make the body release those viruses in response to the environment. So, in this case, the immune system is the biggest factor and distancing oneself from toxic mental environments, such as ones full of fear mongering, would be the best way to protect oneself.
  2. Absolute beauty is another topic entirely though. But yeah I see your point, and I myself am a little bit shaky on the impermanence thing, but how would I ever know? Suppose I lived 10 years in peace of mind, how can I guarantee that would continue to be like that until my death? Another thing to consider is that we should also not disregard the years of suffering and internal conflict that preceded peace of mind. So, maybe peace of mind is not the final state, but just a stepping stone on the path towards something else.
  3. Perhaps the guy isn't well informed about these topics. I myself have seen different microbe species directly under the microscope a few years ago. But viruses are still in theory land until now as far as I know. That's why there's no cure for viral infections btw. But anyway, I don't believe his ultimate point was to deny these things, he was more focused on the importance of the immune system and raising vibration which is popular within energetic kind of narratives. I don't really see that worthy of banning, perhaps a warning would have been enough. The guy was never a troll. And if he's not distorting people's views on the forum (since I saw no one agreed with his views even though he's been like that for a while, so it feels more like healthy challenging of the mainstream narrative), then he's probably just working his stuff out, and imo the forum is a good place for that. Just don't take it seriously as long as it's not causing harm.
  4. There is no such thing. You're probably talking about peace of mind, which is not an absolute state either. There is the fundamental teaching of impermanence that disproves of all eternal states as such.
  5. People believe in all kinds of things. Weird, but it happens all the time all around the world. And that's not a belief. That's reality. Anyone who cares to look around will see. I'll tell you something though, most of the human activities are designed for control. So, leave no exception. The main reason why any ideology exists is because of the control it provides. People fight over control all the time, through all means, ranging from simple civil discussions and debates to wars and genocides to media and advertising to teaching and discovering to whatever the heck people do.
  6. @Loving Radiance With hygiene I think the root unconscious problem is perfectionism. You fill in the blanks.
  7. Seems like Leo can handle all kinds of criticism except when it comes to challenging his hard-earned knowledge lol
  8. Buddy you're confusing things. Spiral Dynamics and Non-dualism are two different paradigms. You can think non-duality at stage Blue. And you can be a Turquoise atheist. And no, the Quran is not a perfect scripture. You're just being biased because you were indoctrinated with Islam since you were born and your mind is still clinging to the old beliefs, even if you are more open-minded than the average Muslim, you still have so much deconstruction to do. The Quran does nothing perfectly. It is full of contradictions and logical fallacies. But Muhammad gained power back then, and people worship power and authority, especially at stages Red and Blue. And that's assuming that the Quran is delivered to us as it was during Muhammad's lifetime. It's likely that Khalifats added and removed certain things, and it's highly likely that there are missing verses.
  9. "Listen! Here’s all you need to know to become enlightened: Sit down, shut up, and ask yourself what’s true until you know. That’s it. That’s the whole deal; a complete teaching of enlightenment, a complete practice. If you ever have any questions or problems—no matter what the question or problem is—the answer is always exactly the same: Sit down, shut up, and ask yourself what’s true until you know. In other words, go jump off a cliff. Don’t go near the cliff and contemplate jumping off. Don’t read a book about jumping off. Don’t study the art and science of jumping off. Don’t join a support group for jumping off. Don’t write poems about jumping off. Don’t kiss the ass of someone else who jumped off. Just jump."
  10. @Lyubov It's kinda funny because as your friend is branching out, she is perceiving everything and everyone around her as objects to obtain, and you were no exception. She wanted to possess you, that's all. She wanted your relationship to be aligned with her life. And when you draw that boundary, it distorted her plans and she felt like she lost control of the relationship. Nothing personal happened here. Don't take it personally. You did nothing wrong, and neither did she. You just aren't compatible with each other and your paths are different.
  11. I hate the political version of Leo.
  12. You're making it more complicated than it actually is. I confirm to you that I am real. You just doubt what I'm saying. You're implying that I'm lying to you when I'm not. Well, no wonder why you're suffering the consequences.
  13. Of course I am real. You just need to believe me.
  14. It's one way to define OCD, out of many other ways which I don't recall at the time. What it means is that OCD develops when you prematurely push high awareness into areas which you don't yet understand the underlying dynamics of. For example, obsessive gay thoughts which some men experience. Regardless of the actual sexual orientation of the man, the reason why these thoughts can cause obsession for him is because they are judgements which were supposed to be a high form of consciousness that is necessary in order to survive within a heterosexual society (during childhood perhaps). However, if this chain is missing, the high consciousness judgement will not be high consciousness anymore because it won't be based on the fact that the judgement existed in the first for survival purposes, but instead the initial judgement will be judged by a new judgement which is collected from society unconsciously. So, repressing and denying old survival patterns in favor of the new social norms in this case will cause OCD.
  15. Hehehe your spiritual ego is bullshiting you. You're imprinted with the idea that comparison and competition and inequality are "bad", while ignoring the fact that everyone is unique. Classic ego trick. But anyway, the truth is that no one is better or worse than anyone else. Want proof? Define better and worse.
  16. So that you can feel confused and post these questions, and so that you receive my answer and other answers from other people.
  17. OCD is a malignant form of high consciousness that results from repressing and denying low consciousness.
  18. @Someone here Care to take a look at what other philosophers have said about the topic of epistemology? Perhaps Kant in particular.
  19. To me it seems like the problem is on multiple levels: Judgement. You judge yourself for being who you are and thinking what you think and wanting what you want and doing what you do. This is problematic because judgement is literally nothing but a thought and you're giving too much value to it. Maybe work on seeing through the judgements you make about yourself through meditation, and practice self-love in order to heal. Biased judgement. So, you do certain things and some them seem fine to me but not to you. However, you lump everything together and demonize them all. For example, for me, being inconsistent with exercise doesn't mean that you're necessarily slacking off. Maybe you don't need to exercise every day. Don't force things in a neurotic or a mechanical manner, especially fun activities like exercise. You should aim for the joy that's within them. Really, if you're not exercising for fun, then what's the point? Health? You can already see how the way you're going about health is being counter-productive. Your psychological health is very important and if you're not feeling well, then there's something wrong. On the other hand, I agree that gambling and porn addiction are bad for you. This can be overcome with more awareness because addiction is nothing but lack of awareness. The patterns your mind is used to, to derive joy, are not the best patterns and you know it. They're just loops of dopamine seeking. If you want to break the cycle, you will have to increase your awareness by all means. And you should also expect pain and setbacks and perhaps even backlashes and regression at first. But the important thing to keep in mind is the ultimate goal of freedom, i.e. to be able to do whatever you want whenever you like and be able to stop yourself whenever you want to. This should motivate you to want to get rid of addiction. Fear. Which is understandable and seems reasonable, yet at the same time being resisted and blocked by thoughts. Examine in your direct experience what you fear exactly and dive in the feeling until you're no longer affected by it. The fear will still be there but you will become more detached from it and it won't have this much impact over your life. Responsibility. How you feel is your responsibility, completely, and 100%. Life and circumstances don't make you feel good or bad unless you allow them to do so. You can shift the responsibility to your own hands and make it your devotion to take care of yourself and master your emotional state. I know it may sound like a lot of work, but it's really worth it. Because the better you feel, the more potential you will have, and then exponential growth will start to happen. And of course, the sooner you start, the better. Start small and be gentle with yourself. And if you forget, remind yourself to love yourself. Feel free to discuss anything if you have to. I'll try my best to be of help. And finally don't worry, a lot of people have been exactly there, and it only gets better.
  20. Because higher consciousness is built upon lower consciousness. You cannot go very high if you deny the lower consciousness. The counter-intuitive approach is to apply awareness on the low consciousness activities. So, instead of judging gossip as bad, try to understand it, why it exists, how it works, why people do it, what are its effects both positive and negative on you and on others, etc... Be as creative as possible. This is one of the most powerful things you can develop in your age.
