  1. @SamueLSD The mistake is assuming a "how?" and then believe it, because essentially, a "how?" is always just a story no matter what.
  2. That's obvious. Relativity is kindergarten. What I'm saying goes deeper than just relativity. You said that crime makes the criminal suffer, but that's not the case at all. Anything can create suffering if you resist it. Think about it, rape is just sex being resisted.
  3. @Roy You say it's a matter of looking deeper, but what you said not only sounds basic and superficial to me, but honestly, wrong. Let's take a look. You said: Notice the underlined and in bold. All of what you said is just a thought experiment. And it contradicts direct experience. Wanna dig deeper? Okay, buckle up. Cuz you're about to read some of the most mind shattering truths. The reason why you would feel bad, shitty, scared, or whatever when you think about crime is because you are indoctrinated with anti-crime ideology since birth. Imagine being born a few thousand years ago in a tribal environment. All of what you said here would make 0 sense to you, because your identity (ego) would be radically different. But you needn't look that far. How about Veganism vs meat? You'd think that it's more humane to be vegan, and that eating meat is cruel. You think people who eat meat feel bad for their diet? Is this deep enough for you or should I go further?
  4. That's not the point. The point is, as long as there's no equality, nobody has the right to tell a criminal to not be a criminal. Cuz it would only serve the rich and the people in power, and therefore help strengthening the status quo. Being rich is a crime too because of power abuse and lack of responsibility. And that does not concern me at all. I'm just visioning into the future of mankind. It's inevitable.
  5. Why not instead be more direct and question the concept of ownership and authority? Why do some people get to get more power and resources than others in the first place? And why is that justified and normalized?
  6. Who's making rationalizations now?!
  7. You didn't answer the question or even add anything. And actually I find what you said rather boring and missing the point. So, in this "not black or white" system of yours, how do you make judgements? You just ignored the question and appealed to higher nuance as if higher nuance makes anything more legitimate. Even then, it still does not make you less selfish to judge that behavior. The truth is that you'd be as selfish as a murderer without even knowing.
  8. You're being biased here. A lot of pick-up guys feel shitty at their first approaches, and they may even feel the same after hundreds of approaches. But you wouldn't consider that a sign to stop and instead you'd encourage them to drop that fat ego and bite the bullet anyways.
  9. What if it's a life or death situation? Will stealing (let's ignore killing for now) be justified then? For example, if a poor man is hungry and can't afford food. Is it okay for him to steal from a rich supermarket?
  10. Great question ?? Probably because of people like Leo who differentiate themselves from others and call them dumb.
  11. A simple misunderstanding that kept snowballing for years, decades, and then centuries, and then eras.
  12. Is tobacco actually bad though? I mean it both literally and figuratively.
  13. Generous committee putting a lot of effort
  14. Which is exactly what makes you a devil, devil. (sorry for pulling a Leo ?)
  15. Or don't, for it will not make any difference at all.
  16. You wouldn't feel bad unless you'd think about it. Even if you'd experience pain or physical illness, it wouldn't feel bad unless you think about it.
  17. And that's exactly the problem. The ego is grounded in the fear of not-knowing, and the whole trick is to create an illusion of knowing. Not good enough. Let alone not accurate at all, at least from my experience. The best moments in my life have always been the moments that I discover truths about myself and my self-deceptions. But back to "not good enough", because it's very superficial understanding that is still grounded in the ego which is the object of the questioning in the first place. How are you ever gonna break out of the ego with more ego? See it doesn't work like that. You have to examine exactly how the ego is constructed and how it values different things and on what basis, and then question all of those. You have to watch the ego creating and grounding itself right in every moment to see how it is tricking you. At some point, it will become naked and groundless to even think a thought about reality. It all will become a cosmic joke how the trick is being played on you before your eyes. It's not hard though. It just takes acute awareness.
  18. @randomguy123 It is explained in the book that the third eye is not actually a pinpointed spot, but rather a tunnel that connects the forehead to the back of the head. Idk that maybe worth mentioning. Good luck.
  19. Good answer, and it's worthy of more digging. The ego grounds itself in memory and anticipation of future. But the ego is limited and only knows very little compared to infinity. Very little means close to nothing. So the ego is in fact betting its life on nothing, yet it thinks it's betting on everything. I'll leave it here if you want to continue on your own. You lost because in that case it would feel good to not pay close attention. Pay, now.
  20. Revenge feels good, even though a lot of times it could be stemming from a simple misunderstanding. A lot of our feelings actually stem from simple misunderstandings. So how can you say such things?
  21. My point is still not getting across. Yes, all of that is right and everything. But I'm not asking "why?". I'm asking "what?". What is it that makes something "good" and another "bad"? And by "what" here, I don't want you to tell me that it's the ego. Yes, it is the ego. But what are the ego's justifications for making those judgements? What is it exactly that defines good and bad for the ego? What does the ego use to discriminate? And on what basis? I know it's survival. But how does the ego know what will survive it? And on what basis? You see what I'm saying? This is a very deep and advanced inquiry, and you may not come out the same person afterwards.
  22. Belongs here.
  23. @Someone here My question is more about the technical definitions of good and bad though. How do "you" or whatever, define good and bad? Where is the line? Why is life good and death bad? Based on what are we judging? Etc...
  24. Still sounds vague to me. I can't think of any OCD that has to do with hatred so I can't offer anything. Can you give us some specifics if possible?
