  1. I understand that. It's because I've been doing the work that I am now able to realize this. But I don't think it's that simple. A lot of people think they are enlightened when their lives are comfortable and they don't face dangerous situations. It's very easy to be fearless when you're in an ashram. I thought the same thing many times, only to realize that I was bullshitting myself every single time. In this case, lifestyle would be a facade for true enlightenment. And I don't want that. I want to live in fearlessness.
  2. Well, I would rather be afraid of losing just one thing than a million other things. Quantity matters. I can't do that precisely because I have attachments, mainly family. Once I was on a retreat, and I thought that I have transcended fear and attachment. Next thing you know, I went outside and did something borderline dangerous, and the first thing I noticed was that my fear was all about attachment to my family. See, if I was homeless, I would probably not care, but since I have family and I don't want them to get hurt or be in trouble, I have to behave in a certain responsible way. Fear is what's maintaining that for me. How can I be responsible and not afraid?
  3. Yeah, I guess so. Thank you. I'll try to increase my mindfulness.
  4. Not-knowing is a state of consciousness. It's not a thought. You can't say I don't know and be truthful unless you're in that particular state. Everything outside of that state is beliefs.
  5. Just keep observing yourself like that with love. Complete honesty with yourself and without judgements. You're healing...
  6. I'd rather believe crazy scientists than some crazy ordinary people.
  7. I'd rather believe my own eyes than some crazy scientists.
  8. There already isn't a center to consciousness. And life is already just happening. Awakening is part of life, and so is delusion. The only difference after awakening is that there will be no more fear or resistance.
  9. @Preety_India Jeez! What's with people?! You shove your shoes into their mouths and brush their teeth with the dirt on them. I'm guessing that you treated them well at first and they took advantage of that. Just like when boys treat their sisters carelessly. You made them feel like family, and they showed their true faces. In the case of work, you probably can't keep avoiding them forever. In case they do that again, you may have to do something physical. Some people just don't understand kindness. If it's over lunch, throwing food plates onto them and then storming out is optimal. I don't think that'll happen ever again though because it's pretty rare to find such jerks. But in case it ever happened again, same advice above. Show them that you are strong and willing to use force to be treated well. The reason why they talked to you like that is probably because you didn't demonstrate a strong frame from the beginning, and so they knew you were vulnerable and then used your vulnerability against you. In this case, nothing will restore your identity like force. Of course, if you're able to report them that would be the best solution, but I'm saying just in case you don't have that option. Either way, don't be afraid. They can't harm you.
  10. You shouldn't tell people about Leo. He offers a kind of medicine that not everyone is seeking or in need for. If you see someone troubled, fine you can tell them. But otherwise please don't.
  11. Awakening is the end of all needs. Life becomes a process of flow and generous creation instead of brute force doing stuff for petty materialistic goals. There's a sense of joy and freedom that comes with awakening that cannot be faked or forced. You seek what you seek because you want it, not because you need it, because you don't fear death anymore.
  12. It's silly how everything is structured. All of human societies have the same identical structure to those of animals. We only deny that because it appears differently. Survival for the fittest runs amok, but we're told we are equals and have human rights. It's silly. There was never equality, and there will never be. Not that I care about life or anything, but that I despise lying, which is humanity's most favorite instrument. All of the movements that have been made throughout history were not motivated by equality. It doesn't work like that. Everything is motivated by self-bias in one way or another. It could get tricky and twisted at times, but it will always be the same. Nobody really cares about you. Everyone is out there for themselves. What's even more silly is that the minority of people are the ones with the most money and resources, so they're out of the survival games forever. People at the top literally have gold in their hands, and the rest are fighting over nothing. And they take this battle seriously and think they're actually successful when they succeed in adding a few more nothing on top of their original nothing. It's absurd. They worry and fear, argue and debate, love and hate, cry and whine, laugh and party, and do all sorts of silly stuff just because they're toys that are attached to certain thoughts. The human society is based on lies. And we're all is contributing to that one way or another. But life doesn't have to be that way. We don't have to keep living in fear. Death is an illusion, and the after life is just human stories. It's insane we're still attached to stories.
  13. "Are you asking whether direct experience and thoughts are two different things?" The map is not the territory. So yeah, they're two different things. You can have a billion thoughts about one experience, let's say an apple. You can think about its colors, shape, taste, feeling, edges, 3D rotation, lighting, memories of eating special apples, Newton and gravity, Mac and iPhone, Adam and Eve, etc... All of those thoughts won't able to create the same experience of an apple in your present direct experience. There will always be something missing. This missing component is the difference between thought and direct experience. And that missing component is you.
  14. Love is understanding. Stop judging and start trying to understand them. Forgiveness is acknowledgement and letting go. Once you have stopped judging, you will be able to forgive and let go.
  15. Honestly, I'm confused by your questions. Are you asking if it's possible to perceive reality while the mind is completely silent? Are you asking whether direct experience and thoughts are two different things? Or are you asking if it's possible to contemplate without thoughts? Regardless, here's an intuitive answer from my gut feeling: Imagination.
  16. The only practical way to solve this problem is by fighting all forms of corruption within the government. But this alone is not an easy task because governments in poor, and underdeveloped countries are highly dependent on corruption. The less corrupt the government gets, the more unstable it becomes and the faster it loses its grip and power over the country. Why is this the case? I'm sure I have the answer even though it's very complicated, but for lack of fluency, I can't articulate it by any chance. Basically, all you need to know is that when it comes to power and politics, money is the main driver and nothing else interferes. And the people/families holding the most money in said poor country are not in full agreement with one another. Each party is waiting the other to make a mistake so that they can kick them out of power and replace them with other more collaborative families or even take their place by themselves without having to involve new players into the dynamic. Typical chimp behavior. So there is a hierarchy within government and these people are corrupt and are setting traps for each other all the time. Families fighting over power, some go up the ladder, and others go down. This is the case in my country, but I don't assume anything different about other governments. Power dynamics in politics should be universal. Even though there definitely are different levels of corruption depending on the government structure and some other factors. Poverty is one factor too, so it feeds into the problem even more. Economy has a positive feedback loop. If you're poor, you're gonna be poor for the longest time possible. And if you're rich, same thing. Unless you're crazy or something crazy occurs of course.
  17. From that I can almost guarantee that the victim was the op. The doxxer was probably some past gf? I've seen something similar before.
  18. Oh, okay. I never opened it even though I noticed it was relatively active, but I'm pretty sure I saw it a couple of hours ago. So it was probably deleted recently. Proper action would have been to screenshot the doxxing and then reporting them immediately. It's forbidden according to the guidelines.
  19. @Arcangelo What are you referring to exactly? Show some evidence: links, screenshots, etc...
  20. It's here. The question is where are you now? And by you, I mean your attention.
  21. The point is that maybe she transcended her spiritual ego. Maybe she's got to the point where wisdom stopped having any meaning or value to her. Consider that the main reason we talk about spirituality in the first place is ego. Maybe she's tamed the ox and got back home.
