  1. Worry/anxiety is rational, i.e. indirect, comes from unconscious thought processing. Fear is a-rational, i.e. direct, without processing the thoughts concerning core identity. And the whole BS awakening thing is an emotional reaction to the whole BS rationality thing.
  2. That's what humans do. Leo is following his passions of changing the world while doing what seems to be peripheral damage during the process. Connor is scheming to get laid and earn more money. And Rob is worrying about humans and humanity.
  3. Exactly! If. People here don't question beyond that.
  4. I'm not sure I follow here. What have I stated? And what are the differences between sensory experience and direct experience? And as for the second part, I am sure there are people who question science from within academia. But there is a formal conduct for that process that favors results over metaphysics. After all, humans didn't invent science to explore the world and look for absolute truth. Science exists because it's of its usefulness. And the term "absolute truth" is misleading. It's not like people look for and seek absolute truth for no reason. Even that is motivated by a selfish agenda, regardless of what it is. It's misleading to think that human beings can move out of practicing selfishness.
  5. Just suck it up for the next 7 months. Get your degree. And then do whatever you want. Don't waste nearly two decades of studying for nothing. Treat the "inauthentic" way as if it was plan B. At least that way you will know you have something to return back to in case you change your mind about your LP.
  6. There is a missing link here. Why does infinity have to manifest? Isn't manifestation a limitation? Why does infinity/formlessness have to limit itself to manifest/form? Isn't that a self-imposed limitation at best? If yes, why? Why? Why? The answer better not be because it can. It doesn't make sense.
  7. Haha! That clip is very deep, actually. The show (Hunter x Hunter), is highlighting the importance of loyalty. The scene is talking about the relationship between a good leader (ant king) and his loyal followers (royal guard). They derive their pleasure from sacrificing themselves for their king, and that's what makes them the strongest amongst all species. The larger context is a war between humanity and mutant ants, where the ant king sees himself as a better ruler for the unjust human world, and humans who actually acknowledge the corruption but don't give up on humanity. I don't watch anime either, or anything really. I'm currently just trying to catch up on the shows I missed out on when I was a kid. I have a year of free time (repeating year at college), so I'm doing that. As a matter of fact, my anime shows count is less than 10. Regardless, that clip is certainly one of the best, imo. I mean it has to be. Everything about it is 10/10.
  8. One of the best anime scenes of all time ❤️
  9. @Rilles What does a simple group of talented street dancers have to do to be respected these days?! ??
  10. LMFAO. You killed me with the details ???
  11. @Keyhole Here's your guy: That guy's sad murderer twin brother ??
  12. Right. But what is the door to happiness?
  13. Science is grounded in empiricism for the most part. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empiricism And, yes, of course, it is a language that we use to talk with the universe/objects around us.
  14. You guys are useless. But thank you for wasting your time here with me.
  15. I just watched the video. It's weird that no one else has noticed or cared.
  16. Let's leave me out of the picture for now. My question was about reality (whatever that is) where there's not yet a concept of "me". With the mind. If I'm gonna live like for a hundred years and then die, then there's not enough time to experience all of infinity. I am, therefore, finite. And so must be all of the manifest world.
  17. You are much more than a (good vs. bad) silly conceptual duality. And much much more than a (should vs. shouldn't) silly moral duality. Concepts don't define who you are. And morals don't define concepts in the first place. You define everything.
  18. Cool. That's what I'm asking about, actually. If the unified reality is infinite, that means it can be every other way, but then why is it currently locked into this specific limited form?
  19. The way I am is not what I am, so yes. There's being, and there are infinite ways of being. A certain way that excludes all other ways.
  20. Well, non-dualists suggest that all forms are limited/finite even though God the formless is unlimited/infinite. But they get away with that because they say paradox is a feature, not a bug. Maybe the same thing here, just saying.
  21. Physics is a different kind of language for expressing and interacting with reality. It's not a limitation on reality in the way you're suggesting, although of course it is somehow a limitation. g = v/t is another way of saying that things fall down from above. It's just more technical/practical in a sense.
  22. Again, I would have to go with: Can reality be any other way than this? And if yes, why isn't it? What you said is just one story for how reality is. Can that one story be different? And if yes, why isn't it? Consistency is another interesting subject for me, and it does fall under the original question, but it's not the heart of the inquiry for me here. And I certainly don't know what the waking reality is, so I'm not sure I'll follow here.
