  1. We are God in human form. Everything came out of nothing. This current life experience will end at some point. All adds up to a simulation, imo. What are some strong arguments against this?
  2. It's not even neutral. Neutrality means absolute detachment, but attachment also exists. So, the universe can care and can not care.
  3. Infinite intelligence now sounds like a plausible solution. Sorry, but no ? I don't see you posting often.
  4. Something that exists. Location is a made-up/relative notion. Nothing more real/tangible. @Swarnim @Someone here ????
  5. Yep. Finite is conceptual. Infinite is actual. It's mind-bending. Just because I didn't accept absolute truth, I thought it was limited. Yeah, you're probably right.
  6. @Mafortu @Brandon L @PeaceOut96 @lmfao Thanks. I got this confusion removed. God is infinite states of consciousness/being. One of them is the human state. The human state is not a single state, it's also infinite states. I happen to reside in one of those states, and so do you and everyone else. Each being is in a certain state of consciousness, i.e. we're at different frequencies. There aren't two identical frequencies. Only one infinite range of different frequencies/states of consciousness.
  7. Let me explain what happened. You asked me "what is reality simulating?", and I understood that simulating is a materialistic concept that means grounded in another reality, i.e. turtles all the way down. So, obviously it would make no sense to say that reality is a simulation, because it makes no difference to have another reality without being simulated as well. I didn't know the literal meaning of the word "simulation". Okay, now having removed that misconception, I thought to myself, if reality is groundless, then why is there something rather than nothing? And the answer is because there was never a nothing. Nothing is a concept. It has always been something, although unidentifiable. Next, I had the question, if something has been all there is all along, then why am I now couched within this particular perspective? And the answer is because I am all there is. And this perspective is all I am. So, it all is just me. So, I now have the answers to those questions, but I still don't understand how or why everything is as it is. In other words, I don't understand the mechanisms by which reality is happening, nor do I understand why it is occurring in this particular way. So I am now finally left with this: reality cannot be any other way because it's absolute truth, until it can and is, and it will still be absolute truth. I don't know, maybe that should be enough to shut down the inquiry, maybe I should contemplate these realizations more.
  8. I'm experiencing an awakening right now. Too bad I was about to sleep when the domino effect kicked in with only one question from cetus. A cascade of insight is occurring. Might report about it and might not.
  9. Can reality be any other way? It can't, until it can and is.
  10. @cetus Alright, I got it. It's all just me. But it all still doesn't make any sense.
  11. I didn't read the article. It's too long, and too formal. Can anyone summarize the main ideas?
  12. And if it was limited, would it be infinity? No. You're falling into a double-standard fallacy here. What does that even mean?
  13. Not when you're thinking, it doesn't count.
  14. I mean, come on! What are the odds?!
  15. @Barbara Yeah, but obviously, just because it has a name doesn't mean it's bad. Unless you're suffering, you can think of it as a challenge and an opportunity to grow. Right now, you're experiencing lack of motivation, and this may occur to you while you're pursuing your LP, so you better be prepared. You may benefit from training now with your dummy degree. You can develop and sculpt your motivation and discipline for 7 whole months. That ought to make you more prepared to face any challenges that may come up later. Thanks. Best wishes to you too.
  16. Worry/anxiety is rational, i.e. indirect, comes from unconscious thought processing. Fear is a-rational, i.e. direct, without processing the thoughts concerning core identity. And the whole BS awakening thing is an emotional reaction to the whole BS rationality thing.
  17. That's what humans do. Leo is following his passions of changing the world while doing what seems to be peripheral damage during the process. Connor is scheming to get laid and earn more money. And Rob is worrying about humans and humanity.
  18. Exactly! If. People here don't question beyond that.
  19. I'm not sure I follow here. What have I stated? And what are the differences between sensory experience and direct experience? And as for the second part, I am sure there are people who question science from within academia. But there is a formal conduct for that process that favors results over metaphysics. After all, humans didn't invent science to explore the world and look for absolute truth. Science exists because it's of its usefulness. And the term "absolute truth" is misleading. It's not like people look for and seek absolute truth for no reason. Even that is motivated by a selfish agenda, regardless of what it is. It's misleading to think that human beings can move out of practicing selfishness.
  20. Just suck it up for the next 7 months. Get your degree. And then do whatever you want. Don't waste nearly two decades of studying for nothing. Treat the "inauthentic" way as if it was plan B. At least that way you will know you have something to return back to in case you change your mind about your LP.
  21. There is a missing link here. Why does infinity have to manifest? Isn't manifestation a limitation? Why does infinity/formlessness have to limit itself to manifest/form? Isn't that a self-imposed limitation at best? If yes, why? Why? Why? The answer better not be because it can. It doesn't make sense.
  22. Haha! That clip is very deep, actually. The show (Hunter x Hunter), is highlighting the importance of loyalty. The scene is talking about the relationship between a good leader (ant king) and his loyal followers (royal guard). They derive their pleasure from sacrificing themselves for their king, and that's what makes them the strongest amongst all species. The larger context is a war between humanity and mutant ants, where the ant king sees himself as a better ruler for the unjust human world, and humans who actually acknowledge the corruption but don't give up on humanity. I don't watch anime either, or anything really. I'm currently just trying to catch up on the shows I missed out on when I was a kid. I have a year of free time (repeating year at college), so I'm doing that. As a matter of fact, my anime shows count is less than 10. Regardless, that clip is certainly one of the best, imo. I mean it has to be. Everything about it is 10/10.
