  1. In certain cultures, it's said that if you hear a ringing, that means someone is talking or thinking about you. Right ear for good news, left ear for bad.
  2. @SamueLSD Both of these answers sound interesting, although too vague. Can you elaborate?
  3. Absolutely. Absolutely. ?
  4. Seems like the level of humility I'm embodying has somehow triggered the guru inside of most of you ? I used the word mundane for lack of a better word. I mean even if I use another word like normal or ordinary you will reply similarly. Of course, your inner guru will get hung up on these words to deflect the inquiry, because you think you've got it all figured out and have no more questions. Yet, your inner guru is blinding you from seeing a more nuanced question. If the mundane God is the same as the supreme God, then why are mystics so obsessed with the latter?
  5. "When God chooses someone, He ignites their intuition. And intuition can only be ignited by sadness. Because when you're sad, you see the truth of everything. Of yourself, your emotions, your friends, and your loved ones. You see the truth of life as it is, and where your soul is at. Intuition realizes the beauty in all the things that you've gone through in haste. Your soul, then, touches the sky, and gets closer to God. And God turns into light every little molecule of sadness, to ignite your intuition even more, so that you can recognize the futility of this life with all its beauty. And the truth of all things." -- Translated from Arabic.
  6. This is interesting and I agree. Can you elaborate about that? Why do we limit ourselves with beliefs?
  7. @Someone here You're missing the point of the thread with your projections. I'm trying to get to the bottom of the confusion and understand how it comes up in the first place. After all, why would anyone prefer a limited identity over an unlimited one? And yes, I can agree with the content of what you're saying if you mean it figuratively.
  8. You have not seen bad yet in your life.
  9. There seems to be two versions of God; God, the mundane, that we all know and experience, but no one cares for. God, the supreme being, that mystics make their whole lives about and worship. Which one is it?
  10. @Someone here Most men are polyamorous, not polygamous. It's different because polyamory can be casual, as opposed to polygamy.
  11. https://www.awras.com/ليلى-الطرابلسي-أرملة-زين-العابدين-بن-ع/ LMFAO! Rumours about Leila Trabelsi, widow of the past Tunisian president getting married to a Saudi Arabian prince as a fourth wife. She was known for her firm feminist positions and was against polygamy. Still rumours, funny ones though
  12. I may be the weird one here, but I generally find myself much more grounded and rational when I am experiencing an awakening, even though I clearly see through the illusion. It's like realizing that reality is all a pretend, but at the same time becoming the best actor there is. Zero resistance, zero effort, and total awareness. On the other hand, when I am unconscious, I tend to become a total chimp, completely enmeshed in the illusion. I literally feel like an animal. Awakening makes me human.
  13. Nothing. The website does not charge for starting, but it takes money from my earnings, about 20-25%.
  14. 4 Falafel sandwiches, and these are cheapest sandwiches here. (as of now of course, because everything is getting more expensive every day). Yep ? Mainly design. Flyers and business cards and stuff like that. I have a year of experience locally, and now I am taking courses to be able to compete online. I'll have to finish the two courses that I have started and then I will see what I can do.
  15. I have been away from this business for 9 years, and a lot has changed. I have forgotten most of what I had learned earlier, and there are lots of new drugs that I have no clue about, so it requires recent experience, which should be already present in me, because I'm expected to run the pharmacy on my own, but the reality is that I don't have it. That's partially the reason why. I mean I could go against my feelings and pretend that I will catch up with the updates quickly, but then I also have bad memories associated with this particular job from my childhood. Also, I have already decided to take the year off regardless, so that would go against my plans. I was tempted by the money at first, but then I remembered that it's not my top priority at the moment. And finally, I am looking for a better source of income that is not dependent on the local currency because the local currency is shit. I'm more interested in learning about online freelancing. If I make it successfully, I will be able to earn a monthly salary in a few hours of work due to currency differences. 1 USD equals more than 2000 local pounds, and that number is increasing by the day. So this is the strategy that I want to invest all my energy in instead of distracting myself with the little money I get from local currency.
  16. I decided not to go because I don't feel good about it.
  17. He's stupid. Why would the richest men want to marry multiple wives? It doesn't make sense. Most men want the sex, not marriage. Assuming the man wants to reproduce and pass on his genes, and since sex can be easily acquired by the rich without marriage, one wife would be enough, the rest of the wives would be unnecessary and just for entertainment, which he can easily get on the side with his money and status without having to marry. Polygamy is not the most favourite route for most men, because it requires responsibility, commitment, and sharing. Hell! Monogamy is already enough work, so why would anyone want more work?
  18. Daaaamn! she hot!!! ? Can never be platonic with her. Impossible!
  19. I'm offered a job opportunity in a pharmacy for 5 hours a day for 6 days a week. The money is good, but I still have to see what it's like to be back in a business that I have left nearly a decade ago. I'll go tomorrow and see, if I like it and if they like me, I'll go for it. If not, well then, hard luck.
  20. What does the truth care whether the human recognizes it or not?
  21. That's the ego-mind, not mysticism. Too much theory, very little practice. What you mean by mysticism here is the refined version of it after years of reading, learning, and contemplation. What it actually is like is total insanity, and the opposite of making sense. It's only after the ego-mind hijacks the process that you become grounded in reality.
  22. Why don't you just talk to the girl whenever she crossses your boundaries? You don't have to put up with anything you don't like or want. You just be yourself, and let her be herself, and make sure you communicate with her all the time. I'm getting the feeling that you are not being honest with yourself, and as a result, you're not being honest with others. It takes courage to communicate your thoughts and desires, but it's also worth it. You can't have a successful relationship without good communication. If you master communication, levels of development will be a non-issue. So, I think you should talk to the co-worker girl that you like, and let things flow. If it works, great. If problems arise, communicate. If they don't get solved, break up and look for someone else who is willing to communicate effectively.
