  1. How exactly is it mechanical/antihuman? Please elaborate.
  2. Lol ? The point is that telling guys to be nice and friendly is all good, like a compliment. But the reality is different. I can compliment my girl and tell her that I like her without make-up, but deep down I'm lying. Well, the same thing here.
  3. "I like women natural and without make-up." -- Donald Trump.
  4. @Lyubov Yeah, I wasn't talking about the hippie comments. Perhaps you're looking at this from a comparative lens, but I'm looking at it from a more observing lens. The dislikes on the video are around 500 against roughly 2000 likes. That's a high dislike/like ratio (20%). Of course, most of those who like and make positive comments are just like hippie cheerleaders. They don't do anything positive in real life. The rest who react negatively are like pure Orange materialists. And you can see that Connor has been losing the latter portion of his audience since he started talking about God. People can like many comments, so looking at the most liked comments is not a good measure. And of course, not everyone that doesn't like will bother and comment or react. A lot of them will just ignore and unsubscribe.
  5. Damn it! I'm reading the comments, and it's just too sad. I've never really known what it's like to be poor in the west, but now I know. So much negative judgements against such a positive benevolent behaviour. This just shows how ignorant and selfish most people are. In my culture, there are similar negative connotations and beliefs around the less fortunate, but they're extremely covert here because of the religious dominance that you think they don't even exist. With western atheism and freedom of speech, people are not afraid to express their hatred towards others, which is really nothing but fear of oneself and how ugly one is on the inside.
  6. @Raphael Proper self-image is the most accurate image of yourself, like a mental representation of who you are, with all your strengths and weaknesses, and without judgement. It's profile information that no one has access to, except you.
  7. Nothingness is larger than imagination/consciousness. Nothing = Everything. You do the math.
  8. @Raphael I've just finished watching Leo's latest video, and I think it resonates well with this topic. Maybe you need to embrace and own this feeling instead. Maybe you are actually superior intellectually. Maybe the reason why you're doubting yourself is rooted in lack of proper self-image.
  9. @Preety_India Yeah, assuming he's seriously interested in a relationship, but what if he isn't? How do you screen that one out? Maybe he's just lying to have sex, and then dump you. Maybe he's scheming in order to get something else, like money. Maybe he's a chronic liar. Such people are hard to detect, ime. Then, assuming he's passed every test, and now you trust him. What if he changes and starts treating you badly? This is common for people who get into relationships and get married. Relationships after marriage are not the same as before marriage. This is still mild change. He could change radically and become abusive. Or even worse, what if he becomes a drunken violent idiot? Of course, not all of the extremely bad possibilities is likely to happen, but the question is: How would screening prevent any of them? Perhaps I'm asking: What is the value of screening on the long term?
  10. Plot twist; the guy is playing fool too. I mean, he's making you feel like you're the one in control, when in fact, he's just lying. What do you do? How do you screen that one out?
  11. @Origins ??????? Well, at least you proved that you are not a nice guy. Ladies, please stand in line. There's enough Origins for everybody. This is my last comment, cheers.
  12. No. I'm not saying what you should or shouldn't do. I'm saying that there are no guarantees either way. The bottom-line is that screening isn't as reliable as it seems, no matter how sophisticated it gets. You could be extremely careful, but then get unlucky. You could be extremely careless, and still get lucky. For me, this puts the whole screening process in question. I don't know what it means for you. @Origins lol
  13. @Preety_India I mean, technically, if you want to go down that rabbit hole, no screening method could guarantee you anything. On the other hand, you might get lucky from the very first time and catch the golden fish. Imo, these kinds of topics are a playground for unresolved traumas. None is ever gonna benefit from exploring them no matter how nuanced they get. The map is not the territory. This is always the case. Security is an illusion, just as much as insecurity. People who look for safety are by definition afraid, and they would be better off fixing their fears and facing them directly instead of screening for secure others. Being always on the lookout is difficult, and it gets tiring and even exhausting. The neurotic core behind fear is still running and never got resolved. It always circles back around to oneself, but I digress.
  14. @Preety_India That's why the term gentleman exists, to differentiate creepy nice from abundant nice.
  15. How about this: Contemplate this question and then think critically about it, and then compare & report the results to us.
  16. Wiz - dom Is that her name? Not exactly what I was hoping for, but a lot better ?
  17. @BlackMaze I don't think your authentic desire in this case is to self-harm. I don't think that could ever be the case. The harm is an effect of something else at a deeper level, because nobody wants to harm themselves, obviously. Smoking is kind of a complex addiction. With smoking, there is a physical component and a psychological one. That means that even if you clear up your mind completely, your body will still push you to smoke, so it's hard to stop, and it gets even harder by time. There are deeper causes of this addiction than just smoking for the sake of smoking. For example, many people think that smoking equals being mature as opposed to being a kid. Others subscribe to the idea that smoking is cool. Others use the nicotine to numb down certain thoughts or emotions. Others smoke because of peer pressure. So radical self-honesty and acute awareness are crucial here. You need to uncover the motives behind that behaviour first. Once you recognize your intrinsic motivations, you will be able to manipulate them through various methods. But you will need to gain access to them first with self-honesty and awareness. Then, after you have identified your motivations, you will need to figure out other, healthier, ways to satisfy them until your body detoxes completely. Then you will be free.
