I kinda agree with Leo on this. Women can rape men as much as vending machines can steal from people. See, the opposite is completely possible. People can and do steal from vending machines. Sorry for this analogy though. Usually women are the ones who got the goods lol.

@QandC I experience being alien to this world. Everything feels weird and new. A great sense of wonder arises. I feel disidentified with everything, like I'm a newborn, like how could any of this be possible?! How could I be here?! And how did things get to this?! It feels weird to have thoughts. The mind becomes spontaneously still, yet the sense of wonder remains. I realise that all the stories explaining existence are futile and nowhere near true. No positive or negative emotions. Just neutral. Is this or something similar the mental state you're talking about?

Women are un-understandable, it's just a fact that you have to deal with. Women don't even understand themselves in the first place for you to be able to understand them. That's not an insult, so don't gang up on me you feminist folks. You will fuck up every now and then, if she wants you in her life whether as a friend or someone else she will understand that it's not actually your or her problem but something unavoidable in communication, especially when between different genders.

@28 cm unbuffed No, that's not what I meant. Wrong and right, just like bad and good, are concepts of your own creation. You kill millions of bacteria every time you wash your hands, yet you don't think about karma or view hygiene as stupid. Bias is inherent in life. If you stopped being biased you'd die. Having morality serves you because it creates a relatively safer, or better put a more stable environment than the original 'survival for the fittest' environment. Your survival is enhanced by morality, so it's not a bug but a feature. That's not to make morality a limitation for your potential, you can definitely break it whenever you want. Just understand what morality is. Have a direct consciousness of what it actually is, and you'll understand.

@QandC That is interesting. I experience similar states frequently these days. How are non-dual experiences different though? I feel like I'm in a non-dual awareness state all the time and I rarely get into duality. How would you describe a non-dual experience?

No free will is only apparent to me whenever I have a lot of free time. When I am busy doing things, I do a lot of things and I don't think whether or not it was me until later when I have some free time to contemplate. It's just thoughts.

Dualism and non-dualism are man-made concepts. They're thoughts about reality, not reality itself. It's like asking whether or not a flower is a living thing. Well, you'd have to define what "a living thing" means in advance, and even then it's still not reality but your thoughts of it. All categories are man-made and therefore arbitrary, Mr. Joe.

@28 cm unbuffed The thing is that everyone is free to do whatever they want, only unenlightened people choose to set limits for that so they suppress what they authentically want without even knowing. Morality is but one way of creating such suppression. And that is not a bug or a bad thing.

That's still assuming that people who "misunderstand" actually do lack the ability to comprehend, and are not simply blatantly distorting things on purpose or at least are unconsciously biased. Unfortunately, and especially in politics, most of the time it's the ego not the mind that creates problems, which makes mutual understanding even more difficult to achieve. It would have been a little bit easier to solve if pure ignorance was the actual problem.

The problem is that there's a you that thinks it's not real. The other problem is that there's a you that thinks it's real. In order to awaken you have to be asleep. And in order to sleep you have to be awake. The most useless realization there is.

You can only waste time relative to a goal. If you don't have goals then you're not wasting time. If you have any sense of direction, you will feel like something is wrong. What is the thing that is making you feel like you're wasting your time? That's where you should be headed, or at least that's what you should inspect. If it's authentic to you then go right ahead. If it isn't then Idk. The point is that you may be wasting your time unknowingly. You may want money or fame but suppressing or denying that. That suppression usually manifests in the form of an uncomfortable friction within the mind about whether or not you are doing what you should be doing. Maybe you don't like your current lifestyle and you subconsciously want to change it?

@Bjorgan Watch different kinds of people (both men and women) on YouTube, from extremely macho to extremely beta, and start taking notes. Record what you find most masculine vs. what you find most feminine, and what you find most attractive vs. what you find most unattractive. Make a list with two categories that include something vs. its opposite and contemplate the different dynamics that you can perceive. And then research the things you want to add into your life, and add them. It's not difficult, it just needs time and decent observation skills.

@Madhur And yet, your message here is loud and clear! Your articulation is perfect and your thoughts are coherent and on point. There's nothing wrong with you. You only need more practice and trial and error. That's all that there is to it. To verify that, consider how much time you spend on reading or writing vs. how much time you spend on speaking. Each skill develops over time with practice, and public speaking is not an exception.
