i think it's entirely down to how you respond to hurt. like instead of developing hate or faulty belief systems, using healthy coping mechanisms like mindfulness, processing emotions well, forgiveness exercises, cognitive reframing etc. there's a lot of effective approaches

@jacknine119 nice. Leo has a video on that one too. Very practical book imo

psychology of money is an important one for the mindset aspect of money

@Bobby_2021 Yeah im pretty sure there is some heavy botting behind the scenes And another thing i noticed is that some anti-indian pages rile up that sentiment because it's super profitable. Generally there's pushback though to those pages, but for the indian ones the pushback is minimal

it's wild lol like literally the comment right after yours like imagine some black people are just chilling and chatting and some dude comes over and is like 'yo yall need to do something about all those crimes and robberies, i see yall on the news constantly, put the guns down". and it's almost completely socially acceptable 😂😂 and then we get classic token #1 saying "we deserve racism" lol this is the most textbook thread. i think elon musk has a huge hand to play in this. he is normalizing racism with X and has actually impacted the Overton window

if people are challenging you too much this is probably more-so an exercise with setting boundaries. it's definitely okay not to be open-minded all the time especially if they're making you feel violated being open-minded is supposed to be for growth. if you feel people are attacking you more than you're comfortable with i dont think that's a time to be open-minded. it could be a people pleasing tendency i suspect

@Twentyfirst it's nice but there's many things in my family that resemble love. it can come in many forms in my experience

@Lyubov pretty much my opinion as well I do wanna say that I think the exploitation claims are vastly blown out of proportion. My dad came to America on an h1b 30 some years ago and he comfortably raised a family of 4 in a high cost of living area. He was also paid equally to the rest of his company. I know many people in this same situation. Not sure how many are actually exploited -

Yeah the movement was mega racist, probably the worst I've seen toward indians in America. At least in my lifetime Mix of jealousy, white supremacy and anti-indian sentiment is what it seems like to me -

@PurpleTree I did account for being wrong in my comment -

Hm not catching the logic. I was exploring a possibility, sometimes unconscious biases come into play. Doesnt have to be true though but I suspect it's the case -

For exploration sake, how is your own behavior toward them? Do you think you might be creating a self fulfilling prophecy/confirmation bias? When i am kind i notice most people match my energy, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality. So maybe it could do with that? -
I remember reading this one a few years ago https://www.amazon.com/Experience-Insight-Simple-Buddhist-Meditation/dp/1611808162/ref=asc_df_1611808162?mcid=c836bd94a40e3f78b90b92eb75629ccc&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693033695478&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12771427384004161331&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1026515&hvtargid=pla-929917253172&psc=1&dplnkId=a751ee72-5dff-481e-9fad-d576c0593ee0 Very inspiring book on the theory and practice of insight meditation. Damn just reminded me how much gold there is out there

i spent a lot of time developing my ideas and contemplation abilities. i think mine got pretty decent over the years however, i am shifting my focus to being all in on embodiment. i feel like my development and life mastery is 100x more important than the quality of my ideas (while still important). i want max level embodiment essentially a similar focus as me

Hey with that logic you should rant against the patriarchy. There are *many* male incel shooters that hated women. -

@Romanov gotcha. he is tricking the public to a good extent though >the 2017 Trump tax law: Was skewed to the rich. Households with incomes in the top 1 percent will receive an average tax cut of more than $60,000 in 2025, compared to an average tax cut of less than $500 for households in the bottom 60 percent, according to the Tax Policy Center (TPC).[1] As a share of after-tax income, tax cuts at the top — for both households in the top 1 percent and the top 5 percent — are more than triple the total value of the tax cuts received for people with incomes in the bottom 60 percent. https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/the-2017-trump-tax-law-was-skewed-to-the-rich-expensive-and-failed-to-deliver bottom 20% received an average of $80 in tax cuts -

how is trump populist? he's big on tax cuts for the wealthy, supports corporate, is anti-union, doesn't care about social programs (repeals them too) or social issues -
So basically... republican? (Just jokes 😭)

What did you feel it was lacking?

not sure about the specifics here, but one thing i learned is that most philosophies have their place in some shape or form. in some contexts, a philosophy might be good in extremes, some contexts none at all, and other contexts somewhere in between
