  1. This is called a positive mindset. If we want followers and likes, we have reddit or other platforms of course. Maybe that's why it is red. Haha, thank you for trying to console me, although I don't care much about sleeping with women at all despite being straight.
  2. I agree that it's difficult to change cemented beliefs, but this is a radically open minded forum and hence it's also my belief that providing logically well cemented perspectives will make atleast tiny subconscious changes in the beliefs that may create a butterfly effect leading to a drastic change. But it can also lead to hurting of the ego if not careful which can cement the biased views further. Many people read the posts, so atleast they get benefitted by the views anyways.
  3. We have to judge people many times in our life if we care about our survival, but before making each statement, we have to be aware of what biases affect our judgement, is it a scientific bias, a religious bias, a psychological bias, an experential bias, an emotional bias, a selfish bias and so on. We have to give more weightage to scientific and experiential biases or similar logical ones more than others since they help us survive better, if we believe science and experiences are better judges and hence researches, of course. But if we wish to transcend survival itself, in my opinion, it is necessary to not have any judgement at all.
  4. I envy you, I have only five or something.
  5. @Twentyfirst I am not saying that you hate them, but you may have prejudices against them because of the belief that being gay is not normal considering the quoted points you have said earlier. What I am trying to do is to change that belief and prove that being normal is a relative concept and can hurt people badly if you don't understand how thinking that way in the meaning you described is a way to justify the above points you said. You have also told that if you were a gay yourself, you won't do the things you described. Making that statement is easy, but try to take the effort into thinking how your life will be if you were in their shoes atleast for a month, the every change you will experience everyday of your life and whether it's good or bad experiences. Most importantly, try to understand it from a scientific, logical and psychological perspective. Remove your emotions and try to see what emotions they have to go through everyday thinking that I belong to an alien, abnormal group. They have been LGBT their whole life, so you should spend atleast a month trying to be in their shoes to get a perspective from their sides. Don't take everyone's statement here as personal, this is a forum to hang out, have fun and in the process learn something new. Instead try to open your mind more as it is more beneficial to you than to the lgbt groups or Putin or whatever politics we discuss about.
  6. If you want to change the sleep cycle, it's better to do it in steps like raising by one hour per week, with slight changes everyday. Staying awake entirely throughout the night is not recommended since it works against the natural sleep rhythms. Instead, if you feel you are a night owl, I would suggest you not to stay awake after 2 to 3 am, and increase the timings as stated above. The main problem with a morning sleep routine is that you have to shut off all the sunlight from reaching your eyes, and let noise not disturb your sleep, which is very impractical especially if you live in a busy city. Also, there are a few studies which suggests sleeping in morning is not a good idea, especially due to the above stated factors and also genetics. But I believe that still it can be changed with discipline and without any health effects, but it's not easy. You have to make sure you sleep around the same time everyday by limiting your screen time before bed, and avoid light entering your eyes in sleep.
  7. Why not try a guided meditation app like insight timer or headspace? It has hundreds of thousands of cool meditative music and guided meditations, and you can pay a small fee to get all the features and support the community.
  8. If you open your mind, it becomes as normal as having five or even ten fingers. The problem is not with labeling something as normal or abnormal, it's how your mind uses that belief as a foundation to spin webs of hatred which connects with other suppressed forms of hatred. You may be affected by the closed minded belief that if something is not normal based on my current way of thinking, or what most people think, it can never have the possibility of becoming normal. Yes, having 8 fingers can be abnormal, if we use the belief to understand evolution or try to reduce the discomfort or suffering caused due to the excess fingers or identify the root cause for it. Instead, if we use the abnormal tag to declare the person with the excess fingers as someone in a lower level than normal, and want them to be tagging themselves as abnormal, it's important to understand the relative nature of what's normal and what's not. It is also important to understand the suffering brought upon by common usage of such tags. My previous posts and others' might help you to understand it if you take time to think about it

  15. Since we are talking so much about fat people, here's an example of the role genetics play in determining how fat we can become and how difficult it is to reduce weight with health conditions: https://www.scmp.com/magazines/style/celebrity/article/3146379/highs-and-lows-anant-ambanis-incredible-weight-journey He is the son of the richest person in India. He has access to the best medical care in the world. With the help of health and diet experts and his own effort, he was able to reduce 100kgs, and became an inspiration to many, but subsequently he gained most of his weight back within a few years.
  16. A popular actor in my locality mostly prefers to keep his hair white and he even popularised the salt and pepper look. In fact, the white hair looks better than the black one:
  17. There are no limits. I perfectly understood what you were implying earlier. I was just adding another point, while agreeing to yours.
  18. Out of the four states that underwent state elections, three of them, which are northern states are going to be won by Modi's government, whereas the southern state of Telungana is the only consolation win for the opposition party. This is seen as a semi final to the upcoming national elections next year. https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/election-results-2023-live-rajasthan-madhya-pradesh-telangana-chhattisgarh-assembly-elections-bjp-congress-brs-4626935
