  1. Still, we would be able to figure it out to some extent, simply by observing it, for eg, observing some gears moving here and there producing some kind of motion and relating them together. We still don't know the smaller aspects of how a car works, even if we assume we are it's creator, as we are just using big building blocks to construct something bigger.
  2. That definitely counts as a super power. I bet many want it more than any other mystical powers.
  3. The problem with all those who claim to possess psychic powers and mystic abilities is that none of them have demonstrated publicly among an audience of rationalists. Even if they had done so, it had been proven as manipulative or found to be using some cheap magic tricks to get some followers. There could be a few who have such mystic abilities, and chose not to demonstrate it publicly for some weird reasons, but even then that doesn't prove that they exist. In that case, we can only believe that those things are possible, and when analysed rationally, the possibility of the existence of such dramatic mystical powers are very low.
  4. Power is not only about the individual's freedom in making decisions, but also the global influence and effects he has because of his decisions.
  5. You may or may not, but remembering your memories for thousands of years is very well possible.
  6. I wanted to know more about that city, but now I have to delete my browsing history knowing that it doesn't exist lol.
  7. I am seriously starting to believe that the name is a combination of virgin and vagina.
  8. Especially when you start adding ads to the page.
  9. Thank God he is green!
  10. Why did you go to the waiting rooms?
  11. Lucky you. I forgot most of my childhood, as does most of humanity. Unless you mean after 5 to 10 years of life.
  12. But I am still dependent on electricity
  13. Okay, thanks for explaining!
  14. How do I become that?
  15. That's more than enough to qualify considering the amount of gurus available these days lol.
  16. Ethical for humans, unethical for robots, and doesn't matter for God.
  17. Lol, this sounds very convincing especially with all the drama! There's a reason why people love biographies made as a movie.
  18. I do think it's a bit unfair in using art created by humans as data, especially when they create them with days of hard work. There should exist a system that calculates the amount of inspiration taken from an artist's work, and provide remuneration accordingly if it exceeds a limit, atleast during the transition period. But, the transition has to happen without any doubt, for the creativity possible with AI is enormous.
  19. And humans ask, "Robots stealing my jobs, unethical?" And after a few hundred years, humans again ask "Intelligent conscious robots replacing stupid, low conscious humans, unethical?"
  20. The children can be described as enlightened in the sense that their mind is comparatively free of thoughts about the future, and so they live in the present without worrying much about the future. Being free of responsibilities is one of the main reasons making this possible, I believe, apart from a less developed brain. Even animals are said to be free of bombarding thoughts and worries about the future, and maybe even the past, and hence live in the present better than most humans.
  21. It would really be useful to see the perspective of various factions and what biases led to them to their decisions. This would help us be compassionate with whom we consider as evil and develop an open minded worldview. But, we should be careful enough not to be influenced by those biases, especially in micro levels, for they can strengthen our own biases which we have common with those ideologies and lead to closed mindedness.
  22. There are multiple aspects to opening yourself more, I just don't want you to get stuck in the same place. From another perspective, you can continue doing what you are doing, as long as you don't suffer because of it.
  23. It may sound absurd, but for a rational mind, that's a very good approach. The OP hasn't given enough data, but based on the data he gave, what I understand is that he is having some sort of mood disregulation, along with some coinciding things happening, possibly synchronicities, and people suggested him to worship a specific deity. I maybe missing something, but if that's the case, here's my rational approach: 1. I would differentiate synchronicities from normal coincidents by comparing it with the rate of coincidents happening and observing whether it's beyond the normal levels possible. If it's beyond normal levels, I would acknowledge that something beyond what I thought would define logicality exists. 2. I would figure if there are any medical problems causing mood disregulations by visiting a doctor. 3. I would question why I feel I am connected to a Greek goddess, and not some American or Indian one. I would analyse why and how deities came into existence and whether they are powerful or not. Asking in a forum for similar experiences is also a rational approach.
  24. If you were born like that, your thinking would have been entirely different and you won't be bothered much, especially since you get used to it since birth.
