Consciousness requires something to be conscious of. An observer requires something to observe. Awareness requires something to be aware of. If it's total, not two and everything, how can consciousness be the Ultimate thing that is. That's only within the dream of separation which is an illusion.

Happiness is temporary because you are happiness itself. Sadness is temporary because you are sadness itself. All these states are arising from the permanent, which is you and that's why they are fleeting. Chase neither. See them for what they are and don't identify with them because that will bring with it suffering. Suffering from the illusion of separation as when one chop it's leg off from the body. Nothing is separate but the appearance of separation and the seeking of the different states and the identifying with the body is where the suffering comes from. Doesn't matter what happens in this scenario, the result will be the same if something or some state is being chased after and it doesn't matter what state. You cannot be happy by just being because being is no-thing that needs to be happy or anything because it is no-thing and everything simultaneously.

If you are already immortal, why do we NEED to identify with anything. We can identify as a cockroach wouldn't make a difference if shit is just happening. Unconditional love is not conditioned. Saying if somebody commits suicide, where is unconditional love is a conditioned response. You're implying unconditional love only relates to certain conditions. Nothing is exempt.
