  1. Thought is time. You need time and space to be conscious of something. What is consciousness if not something conscious of something else. So consciousness is thought.
  2. My momma dead, so you're in luck...And she was slim. Nice try.
  3. No, I get that, I judge too. Don't fool yourself into thinking it's from an authentic place because it all is. How else can it not be. Your judgement is no more special than anybody else's. In fact, it's more inauthentic in believing it's authentic.
  4. Consciousness is also a thought.
  5. Wow, saying this is pretty low; but even then, that age is pretty low at least up it to 25 - not that it really matters. You must judge and criticize yourself pretty harshly.
  6. Most mature and realistic comment on this thread so far. No judgment and bashing of what was once your thing at a certain age or frame of mind. We will probably be bashing where we're at now 10yrs from now, who knows. Doesn't mean it's bad.
  7. I know exactly what I meant to say. I don't need a concise definition of what the word guru means to make my point in the context in which I made it. You obviously knew what i meant it to be and not your definition or what the real definition is. My point still stays the same.
  8. lol...tell me my momma suck and I'll make sure you start sucking them words. Why would I care, I agree. Your glasses suckšŸ˜‚
  9. Doesn't matter. Just take what you like and leave the rest. Stop looking at humans as anything special overall. We all bring different things to the table, that's why it's the whole. Nobody inherently has any more value than the next. That homeless man that people look down on could be the reason Sadguru is where he's at and that guru could be the reason that child got molested. Sounds a bit radical and everything is inherently acausal but within the dream it's all cause and effect. This is how we get disappointed, why we suffer and become delusional when we start to expect things to happen in a certain way. This is chaotic order and nothing is exempt. Embrace Infinity with open arms because that is freedom at it's core and the meaning of unconditional love. Doesn't mean we tolerate bullshit and disrespect but to see all that for what it is and deal with it accordingly in the moment.
  10. You call that "foolish" behavior. Maybe expand your vocab a bit. A million ways to act foolish, this ain't one of them.
  11. You're right, my Prince; but I can say that your intuition can also be off also in terms of how it's being interpretated as it's also the trickery mind that is doing the interpreting. Those who doesn't allow for too much interpretation, or time lapse in acting on intuition, imo, have better results.
  12. I must say when I was writing that I was concerned you'd take it that way. It's not what I meant at all. You don't owe them anything, and they were being entertained too. It goes both ways. All I'm saying is nothing wrong for paying a bill that came to you as it's just a nice gesture of saying thank you. If the bill was given to them and they just outright thought you should have paid and handed it over to you, if they had been rude to you the whole night or the night just didn't go very well, if the bill was overly expensive and you consumed way less than 30%, I mean I could go on about circumstances where it would probably have been appropriate to waiver, but from what you explained, I didn't see any other reason than you were afraid of being used which just leads to fear-based actions and never produces good results. People-using is a real thing, but having a fear of it isn't good because you are saying, imo, you are not able to spot that on your own and are afraid of being used without realizing it until it's too late. It's either you go all in without the fear knowing you're in good standing with yourself, and your integrity, or you get the hell out and never look back. The fear will just create irrational behaviors and regrets. Concern, yes, but leave that at home when you're in the mix and for later contemplation when the highs wear off.
  13. Well shut it off. You can always get it back later if you feel inclined to.
  14. You are fighting a war inside your head. This is humans tragedy. Looking for value. Thinking there's something better than something else, inherently. It's all the same. We give life meaning. Watch if you want, don't if you don't. You're not missing out if you do or don't. Preference. I've burnt through this stage. I was there. Now I watch whatever without judgement. This question would have never come up if you weren't battling with thoughts. Actually, it's just thoughts battling without the you. Certain things just naturally fall away when there's the absence of certain things, one of which is thinking there's inherently anything more important than the next. Now it's just pure freedom doing it's thing as to whether to watch Netflix or not without the intrusive thoughts. Not saying nothing has meaning or some things aren't more valuable than others, but now it doesn't become neurotic and just flows and the individual isn't seeking for something that's not there which is a sense of importance. That breeds exactly where you're at right now and inner conflict ensues. The meaning and value now becomes free to be what it is and not what has to or should be.
  15. I agree. Sometimes looking at the circumstances at hand instead of what that trickery mind says is best.
  16. Why? You were there in their company and being entertained for hrs. What's wrong with paying. It's not like you're paying for the group next door. I kind of understand the friend, but if it wouldn't have broken your pocket, just do it this one time.
  17. This will kill the vibe every time. They did the appropriate thing by paying the bill for drinks they had before you were there. That, to me, was in good standing and the rest of the bill shouldn't have been a problem for you; especially that amount. You said you guys talked for hrs and had a good time and you're worried about being used. Learn to discern. That's not using.
  18. Lived there for 2yrs. Was there when the Wynn opened, same day.
  19. It's so cool, my State being mentioned on the forum. Yes, Jersey sucks, but i've gotten used to it. Great tomatoes, though, and blueberries.
  20. Are you serious. What does enlightenment have to do with taste. I couldn't get pass the sound much less the message. This one of the reasons why I don't do the enlightenment thing, if anything an enlightened being would embrace the diversity, not say what should or shouldn't be. I didn't see horror, I heard something that was not pleasant to the ears. There was no judgment or thought that went into it. My ears just wasn't liking the sound. It's that simple. We overcomplicate things. You don't like the song? Ok, I do.
