  1. I think because it wasn't a generic answer like buy a house, a car, start a business, give to the homeless etcetc. You saw someone who thinks outside the box, maybe a bit on the wild side, passionate (for fashion maybe), or for being unique. Maybe you have passion for fashion yourself and could relate. That remark she made might sound dumb on the surface, but it has a depth to it in the meaning behind it.
  2. Not the point i was making. Notice in my other comment here i also said attraction is complicated. What you're saying here is explaining why people might be bi. I wasn't looking for a reason why, just that they might be without even realizing it.
  3. You have missed the point. I have had many orgasms in my life; surely I can dedicate one of them to do an experiment. This was a self-induced orgasm, btw. The quality of the orgasm has nothing to do with what i was referring to. I was simply testing to see if thought is possible during orgasms and it is.
  4. Isn't God everything, so by this definition, dog poop is divine.
  5. What do you think is saying all this; nothing but the mind. The mind is telling itself, it's looking to shut itself up. Once I tried out something. I tried to see if I can think during an orgasm, you surely can. I remember thinking let me see if I can notice a thought and I noticed I was noticing. So, if you set an intention no amount of orgasm can shut the mind up.
  6. I think they are without knowing it. Put them in a situation and it will reveal itself. Jail and prison is one. Getting cheated on is another. Developing hatred for a particular sex is another...i mean the list goes on. If it wasn't already in you no amount of outside circumstances would bring it out. Think about it. Most don't know it, or are ashamed or in denial so they will deny it and sincerely so; but ........like I said above.
  7. Why didn't all you bi's speak up in the thread about are we all bi's. You'all coming out the woodworks in this thread. I think the attraction is in the title.
  8. See, that's why I said it's not that straightforward. People underestimate the magnitude of the dynamics of attraction and how complex it can be. We don't even know on the surface why we're attracted to certain things; we know the what most times but not the why.
  9. It's not that simple. Notice he didn't say why am I attracted to women. Women can also be attracted to feminity (not speaking of lesbians, just in genera), likewise straight men to masculinity.
  10. This response has so many gems in it. I read it like three times and each time was like reading it anew. I loved the dream analogy and how waking up just happens and everything within the dream is made of the dream. Also the "real intention" part. Only thing different I would say about that is some might not consciously set out to awaken but may not want to stay asleep, if that makes any sense. Also through tremendous suffering a spontaneous shift might occur.....stuff like that.
  11. Funny, both Leo's responses in this thread aren't worth Jack shit. Some others gave some nice responses and really gave good reasons why they think it's the case, but Leo's were just being funny and idle, not really worth mentioning. This is the person's opinion you value the most. Even on other topics he kids around and other's just real brief responses. His real value is in his work not forum talk. On some topics, yes he does give some good solid advice; but most of his remarks are responding to already written posts or responding to other people's opinions. Leo's real work is in the background of this forum, what he puts tremendous thought and energy into, contemplation, consciousness, the mind, reality, etcetc, not pep talk. So in saying what you said, you're better off not even coming here if you don't value anybody else's opinions because it's in the "other" that you might find some real gems.
  12. @1337This is not a criticism nor is it a judgement. It's simply an observation on my part and I could be wrong, but this is what I think based on all your responses. You really don't want any friends. Deep down you don't, but your mind is telling you that you should. Just about every response, you gave an excuse or a reason or justification as to why whatever was suggested wouldn't work. Even in your OP, you self-sabotaged, I think, and found a way to make that stop. You even said, you stopped talking. She reached out to you twice, according to you, but somehow it ended; and you said nothing that would have caused that to end other than deep down you didn't want to be bothered (imo). Look at all your responses. Take a deep look. They are mostly "buts" and criticism of how people are and why you don't have friends. Even your response to Raze was a "seriously" at the end, trying to convince yourself to watch the videos. This is just my observation and going by what I've learnt about how the mind works and also that most questions asked, or problems put forward that are looking for advice already have the answers within them; and that most people are just looking for iteration of their existing thoughts about their situation and are not really looking for a solution, even if they don't consciously know this, Your case just seems like a classic and fits perfectly into this. Like I said I could be wrong, but I have a strong inclination that I'm not. You don't know this right off the bat so I'm not saying you're aware of this, I'm putting this out there so you can consciously take a step back and be the witness and examine your situation to see if what I'm saying may really be the case. Do you really want friends or are you trying to put forth to your own mind why you don't have any and to see if anyone can say something to change your mind about wanting friends and convince you as to why you should go out and pursue this endeavor. I think that's the real reason behind the post, "can anyone convince me as to why I should have friends". That seems to be the dilemma you have found yourself in and that's why you call it a problem. All your responses, to me, screams this. Edit: Fun fact - go back and count all the times you used the word "but" in your responses, this is the dead giveaway to what I'm pointing to, Imo.
  13. Yeah I guess only links allowed. Your videos don't even play at all. On my Jamaica journal I'll try to post some jamaican events like track and field when the time comes. Hopefully it won't just be links. I just posted a random link just to test it out, so I'm not even familiar with her, but I like the track and field. Swimming and gymnastics.
  14. I was thinking about starting a thread of this nature; but I see most videos aren't allowed to be uploaded. Maybe it's from your country. Let me see if I can upload from the USA. https://youtu.be/InfIHU-SUWo?si=z_6GaHuXQyxgAaPA Nope, only links.
  15. Luckily we have an off-topic, entertainment, fun section. Maybe Leo should have added the word PESTS to make this post fit in perfectly. There are things you can do to ward off mosquitoes. Google for answers. I think tea tree oil is one.
  16. Not sure which Krishnamurti you're referring to but UG Krishnamurti doesn't believe in enlightenment.
  17. Ok, lasst comment on this issue.
  18. Cool. Is it true your hands are licensed and not allowed to fight like on the street or you can get in trouble or is that just for boxing.
  19. I was just messing with you, but nice; I wished had learnt martial arts sometimes. Seems like a cool thing to learn, plus the discipline that it entails.
  20. Ok, I'll relay the message and pass it on. Do you have a black belt. My girlfriend and an ex bf were martial arts experts. Pretty disciplined people they were.
  21. May I ass-k you why.
