İt's not an addiction. Addiction is a physical condition where your body slowly builds tolerance against a substance. Listening to music is a habit. İ'm not saying it isn't hard to change a habbit...but it's not an addiction.

"Time you enjoyed wasting, is not wasted at all"

Maybe you came across this on the internet since it's kinda going viral. Beautiful short story. http://www.galactanet.com/oneoff/theegg_mod.html The Egg By: Andy Weir You were on your way home when you died. It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me. And that’s when you met me. “What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?” “You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words. “There was a… a truck and it was skidding…” “Yup,” I said. “I… I died?” “Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said. You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?” “More or less,” I said. “Are you god?” You asked. “Yup,” I replied. “I’m God.” “My kids… my wife,” you said. “What about them?” “Will they be all right?” “That’s what I like to see,” I said. “You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff right there.” You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty. “Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.” “Oh,” you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?” “Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.” “Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,” “All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me.” You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?” “Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.” “So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.” “Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.” I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had. “You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything. But there’s no point to doing that between each life.” “How many times have I been reincarnated, then?” “Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.” “Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?” “Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.” “Where you come from?” You said. “Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.” “Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.” “Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.” “So what’s the point of it all?” “Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?” “Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted. I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.” “You mean mankind? You want us to mature?” “No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.” “Just me? What about everyone else?” “There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.” You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…” “All you. Different incarnations of you.” “Wait. I’m everyone!?” “Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back. “I’m every human being who ever lived?” “Or who will ever live, yes.” “I’m Abraham Lincoln?” “And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added. “I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled. “And you’re the millions he killed.” “I’m Jesus?” “And you’re everyone who followed him.” You fell silent. “Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.” You thought for a long time. “Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?” “Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.” “Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?” “No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.” “So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…” “An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.” And I sent you on your way.

@ProblemSolving Start with bringing your body in check. Work out and sweat every day. Once your body is healthy, your mind will follow...

What would be your reaction if you encountered something inconsistent in reality? It would be a dead giveaway of illusion or dream. You can't manifest a flying car out of thin air, with no logical explanation ( eg. nanobots constructing it...) unless you're dreaming. So an inconsistency would end the game of pretending, and we don't want that. So the story has to be consistent.

Why does mathematics describe nature? İt's a mystery. And if you dig into this, you'll end up with a theory that's not falsifiable. " I mean if there fundamentally only is awareness, why can't everything happen (be perceived) within this awareness? " Because its not practical? İn the same way that it's not practical if you would have to do conscious effort to digest the food you eat, or to make your heart beat. Why can't we manifest a flying car on the spot? Because the story has to be consistent. İ'm sure one day nanotech will make this possible. "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Arthur C. Clarke"

What about Latin? That's a dead language and yet thousands of people study it. learning another language, any language, will give you an insight in the structure of language. And because your thinking is 'limited' by language, learning another language will give you a unique insight in how other cultures, and people of your own culture, think.

I don't think its possible to gain muscle mass while you're cutting. The whole point of cutting, is to 'tone'. To make the muscles more visible by losing as much fat as possible and (trying) to maintain as much muscle as possible. But you will lose muscle mass. You can do some lifting to give your body a sign that you need your muscles. But when you cut, you should shift to cardio or hiit, not strenght. Yes, ketosis will make you feel weak for a couple of days, but that gets better once your body made the switch.
-
Don't go vegetarian man. You will lose all your muscles you build up over the years. If you cut, its most important that you keep eating proteine so that your body burns mainly fat instead of converting muscle tisue to carbs. I'd advise a keto diet for some weeks/months. Its the best diet for conserving muscles and losing fat.

Grow the small town into a big city its a win win.

İ'm looking into real estate investing currently and the advice i got so far from what i've read is... Invest as little of your own money as possible, but avoid negative cash flow. (Rent should cover mortage payments) A house is prefered over a flat because the land wil apreciate more. Surround yourself with proffesionals (lawyer, accountant etc.) Be aware and learn about market cycles. Start on your own first before you team up with other people.
-
@khalifa i would advise to start with your body (really the only 'thing' you truly own). Get fit. Furthermore...you already said what you want. " i want to just generally help people out " That's a very noble goal. Go for it. Don't limit yourself to engineering. About living carefree and not worrying about bills etc. You're absolutely right. Remember...a man/woman is rich when all his/her desires are met. İf you desire a ferrari or a bike...makes a huge difference. A minimalistic lifestyle is a bliss.

@zasa joey it's up to you to decide. You can play the game of life, but know that in the end it won't fulfill you. Don't lose yourself in the game, in the role you play. Stay on a spiritual path, to keep in touch with your true self.

Try zinc cream...the one they use for baby's diaper rash. Very good for the skin.

And then there are those tell us the complete oposite. And their argument is very simple. Our culture evolves much faster than our biology. Biologically, humans stayed the same for 50000 years. And 50000 years ago, there were hardly any carbs in our diet. The majority of carbs in our diet was fructose from fruits in autumn. A sign for the body to produce insuline and to store fat for winter. So eating carbs leads to insuline production, hence the obesity and diabetes epidemic because of our high carb food habits.

72/1,83x1,83...your bmi is 21.5. Wich is low but not too low. Try to go to a gym. Don't do cardio like running and bike riding. Bulk up, get lots of proteine, and do strenght training. That means you have to gain weight, and while you do...do strenght training. You will gain fat, but that's ok. İ'd say, do this untill you weigh at least 80 kg. Then start the 'cut' to lose fat. Keep eating proteine to protect against muscle loss, but shift your workout more towards cardio to burn off fat.

@Henri Good to hear you got back on your feet, and found the right path. Just to give you the right idea...i do mushrooms about twice a year. I don't smoke weed, or very rarely...in combination with the shrooms. Weed, in my opinion is a very tricky drug. I've had friends go psychotic on it. Unlike mushrooms, it can be abused. People tend to smoke it every day. This is typical for weed smokers. It reduces rem sleep. This is, in my opinion, why people go psychotic if they smoke weed for a long time. Suppressed rem sleep. When you quit smoking weed, you experience 'REM rebound'. The brain tries to compensate for the lost rem sleep.

How did i miss the point? 'Just because you have an experience doesn't make it real?' Well it makes it real for me no? Ofcourse my rollercoaster experience is not real for you, for obvious reasons. 'just because you believe in something doesnt make it true, doesnt mean that it is reality' ofcourse not...a billion people believing in God doesn't make it true. Although you can argue about that... Man invents vengefull God, immediatly loses all controle over him, and now that God is angry and comes back to wreck havoc on us. Is that God then real or not? The concequences of thinking him up certainly are. what kind of experience would be considered real? Your experiences. If in your dreams a monster is chasing you. That is a real experience for you at that moment. You can look in retrospect on it and say...well that was just a dream. But at that time...in your dream it was real. what is truth and where can truth be found, what is reality and where can reality be found? if the experience, truth or so called reality is from the experience of the identity (human being) it is never true, real or reality, it is only programing, belief, or a warped perception of the events that the identity thinks is real, true and reality. Real, truth, and reality cannot be experienced as as the identity first of all because it is existing as a hologram a fictitious identity, it is totally programed with every nonsense in this physical world, all of the programing is turned into a false belief system, all of this creates a warped perception of everything the identity thinks is real, true and reality. Whaat? you really lost me here buddy.Look if you get kicked in the groin lol. That will be real for you. There is no need to bring in false belief systems or warped perceptions. It's a direct accute experience in the now. and you'll notice a distinct difference from all the 'story, fake experiences' they try to sell you, like getting fired or losing money, or owning a nice car.

I'm not giving any recommendations. And even if i did...everybody is responsible for their own actions. I hope we've all taken at least that advice from Leo by now.
-
If you want to call me green...that's fine by me. I believe everybody is having their own experience yes. Truth? Life, and in my opinion history too, has taught me to be very warry if somebody tells me something is 100% true. Usually, very bad things come from that. You can never be 100% sure of anything.
