  1. Is that an Escher drawing? I'm wrestling with GEB right now. Thanks for that btw Leo. Sometimes i curse you .
  2. I have the impression that, especially spiritual (seeking) people, are so vulnerable to adulation. They seem to have the tendency to cling to a guru or prophet. For example, when i watch a Mooji video...i see a lot of people acting like complete morons around him. What's with that? If i see them act like that, i can't help but thinking...'they are just not getting a word of what he sais'. They stand there staring at the guy, with their mouth open...wtf? He brings them a message of unity, self empowerment, and how every single one of us is an expression of 'Brahman' and then people act like this and almost worship the guy. It makes no sense. I have great respect and appreciation for Terence Mckenna. And if i could meet him in person (wich, sadly enough, will never happen), i know the worst thing i could possibly do is being 'starstruck'. Because that would be a clear sign that i didn't understand anything of what he ever tried to teach.
  3. Hello, A while ago i stumbled on this and i find it really effective. The idea is, to use cold showers to get out of your comfort zone. It really sucks to turn the water cold, and you'll make up alot of excuses not to do it. The same excuses you will make to not do any other hard and uncomfortable stuff in life. Cold showers also offer alot of health benefits. Its good for the blood circulation, it boosts your metabolism and immune system and its good for your skin. There is also a long history (even since roman times) in cold shower therapy often in combination with hot baths or sauna. Give it a try (and squeel like a little girl :p)
  4. Yes, that's the feeling. But add to that...for all eternity with no hope for salvation. I don't know where this comes from, or who or what ever planted that idea in my head, but i feel that deep down it is there somewhere. Maybe abandonment issues from childhood? I'm not sure if i should work towards confronting this? I don't feel like it is hindering me. I don't have any trouble being by myself or anything. It is not so much 'fear' that this idea invokes, but a feeling of utter despair. And it is this feeling of utter despair that i fear. I don't think this would help me. This idea of total abandonment is not something that can happen to me as a human being. Because, as a human there is always death that can 'save' you from any unbearable situation.
  5. @Schulzy If you dig a little deeper...this guy 'athene' he calls himself. My gawd. I like to think that i'm openminded, but not so openminded that the wind howls between my ears. I mean there are limits to what a more or less intelligent human can tolerate.
  6. @Kevster What are your goals? You can't just start doing something without a crystal clear goal.
  7. My biggest fear is being cast away, banished, abandoned and being totally alone, in the dark for all eternity with no hope for salvation.
  8. @Dawson To each his own opinion. But to me 15gr of truffles is a recreational dose. If i ask myself the question...'can i go to a party and interact with people on this' and the answer is 'yes' then it's a recreational dose. If you take a moderate or heavy dose your reality is comming apart, your ego disolves, you lose coherent thoughts and you're probably on your back or like Terrence sais 'with your legs in your neck' . You can not have a conversation or interact with people let alone go to a party or concert.
  9. Do your research! Terrence Mckenna is the guy to listen to. This guy wrote the book on how to cultivate mushrooms. He does have a more shamanic approach because he actually went into the rainforest and, so to speak, brought the mushroom back, into western society. For example, the part where he talks about singing...he sais himself 'it's a way to oxygenate the brain'. Imo, the singing is also a form of meditation. The indigenous tribes in the rainforest never had acces to eastern methods and knowledge. So singing and dancing can be a substitute for meditation, for being in the moment and grounded in the body.
  10. Yes!! I agree with Prabhaker. Succes is not a struggle. It will come by itself. As within, so without, as above, so below. Change your inner game, and your external 'reality' will change accordingly. Or, as Leo's signature sais..."Let him that would move the world first move himself." -- Socrates.
  11. So a 15gr box would equal 7,5gr dried mushrooms? No...7,5gr dried mushrooms is a dose you're not going to forget anytime soon. They would never sell that as a 1 dosage box. In my experience...15gr of truffels Psilocybe Tampelandia, supposedly the strongest strain, is about 1,5gr dried psilocybe cubensis. So even if you would consume two of those, you would still be in the 'moderate' part of a dosage. Experiment for yourself...get a psilocybe cubensis growkit. They are very easy to grow. And much cheaper than truffles. Basically just add water and leave in a warm spot for a few weeks. I'm not saying the truffles are bad. They are ready to consume, that's the advantage. But you pay for that..15-20euro for a recreational dose.
  12. It is not obtainable in any legal way in Europe, as far as i know of. So one would have to buy it off the street. There are also no purity tests available that i know of. So basically, they can sell you rat poison or any other white powder and there is no way you would know. So the only way i see, is to have a Bufo alvurius toad. And this is just...no! I'm not even looking into the legality of owning an exotic (endangered?) species...too much of a hassle.
  13. @Huz these...https://azarius.net/smartshop/magic-mushrooms/magic-truffles-sclerotia/ For sale over the counter in The Netherlands. Magic mushrooms, fresh or dried, can't be sold anymore in The Netherlands. Because there was one(!!) case in the past, where someone commited suicide, that may have involved magic mushrooms. If you compare this to the anual death toll of alcohol, you can see how ridiculous this is. Anyway, truffles are just a way to avoid petty laws. They are not technically 'mushrooms', and thus can be sold freely. Because, when talking about psilocybin mushroom dosage, people are usually talking about dried grams of mushrooms. Unless mentioned otherwise. Truffles are sold fresh, refrigerated and vacuum sealed, not dried. Fresh they contain alot of water weight. About 90% of fresh truffles, and mushrooms is water. So 10 grams of fresh truffles equals about 1 gram of dried mushrooms.
  14. @DimmedBulb Truffles and mushrooms are the same. But they sell these truffles in a recreational dose. I think the maximum amount they put in one box is like 20 grams. That is fresh. So you have to take in account the huge amount of water it contains. Divide that by 10 to get the aproximated dried mushroom equivalent. 20 grams fresh equals 2 grams dried. And then they put warnings on the box...'never use more than one dose'. This is advocating the wrong use of psychedelics...recreational. A 2 gram dose will not give you a non dual experience. This is imo the greatest disadvantage of mushrooms...people tend to take too little. If it was a 'fun' experience and you didn't have a struggle with ego death ,and everybody has at least the first time, then you took too little. Also keep in mind the heavy tollerance buildup with psilocybin. Two weeks after a trip, before it is at 0 again. So if you take 2 grams, and 4 days later double the dose this will still only be the equivalent of 3 grams. About mushrooms being illegal...this is really bullshit. These psilocybin mushrooms grow in the wild pretty much all over the world. So, if you can find a public forest, where they grow in the wild, you can sue the government for possesion and manufactering? The species that grow in the wild are often more potent than the easy to grow at home psilocybin cubensis. But be very careful about picking and eating mushrooms in the wild, people die every year because of misidentification and eating toxic mushrooms. I'd love to try 5-Meo-DMT, but it's so unobtainable. What's more...it's (except for the toad i guess) not a natural substance. So i'll have to trust some dealer/criminal for something i'm going to put in my body?...not gonna happen. This is why i don't see 5-Meo-DMT as fit for wide spread use, and why it probably isn't wide spread.
  15. Seth Lloyd talks about how the universe is a quantum computer, and what that means. It's mindblowing how science and spirituality is comming together.
  16. Nothingness can not be experienced. 'Nothing' is not an experience. In the same way we can't imagine to be unconscious. So saying 'God' is nothingness doesn't really make sense. I guess what people mean when they say nothingness is 'pure awareness'. Like empty imagination...no thoughts, no experience even, but this recursion that is awareness?
  17. @alea Hi Alea, So you can't talk to the teacher/prof, explain that you made a mistake, to switch to another project? İf you can't...then there is only one way out, and that is to finish the project. No need to punch yourself ;). You show some limiting beliefs in your post, about your self image. Like : 'i'm not good at math', 'i am very introverted', 'i have low motivation'. Take for example 'i am not good at math' . This becomes a self fulfilling belief...you get a bad grade at math and you think 'damn, i'm not good at math' the next time you have to study math, you think 'see, i don't understand this, i'm not good at math, this is so hard...' and then you get a bad grade again, and this will reinforce the belief, you start to hate math, lose motivation, get behind on the material...and all this will reinforce your belief 'i'm not good at math' in a negative feedback loop. You have to change that belief. İt works the same in the positive way too. 'i am good at math, it's not that hard, i understand this' İf you don't understand something...google it, look it up on youtube, there are alot of teachers who all have different teaching styles. You will see...it's not that hard, some teachers just can't convey it as good as others. Then next time you have a test, you'll get a better grade. And you can start to build on a positive feedback loop that reinforces the belief 'i am good at math'. You can apply this to all your negative self image beliefs. Wish you the best.
  18. At some point in the video about Responsibility vs Blame you talk about 'letting go' of responsibility again, because of doing conscious -and enlightenment work. So my question...at 32:45 you say : After two years of evolving...doing conscious and enlightenment work, what is your opinion on this statement? I know i'm taking you on your words here, but this is not intended as an 'attack'. I think it's one of your best videos. I'm just wondering if i'm on the wrong track, or stuck in a fase because the more conscious work i do, and the more i become aware of my own, previously unconscious, beliefs and processes, the more i realize how shockingly true this principle is. Thanks!
  19. A great video that reminds me of how powerful our minds are, and how careless we guard it against the crap that culture and social engineers fling at us. Big corporations literally have teams of very clever psychologists, trying to figure out how they can decieve and trick us. Be very careful!
  20. @step1 You're going to need willpower for something that you crave. Like the snacking maybe? Or TV. And you will need willpower to do something that you believe really sucks, like the cold shower. So be careful that you don't snack or watch TV after the cold shower because you just blew all your willpower on the shower, and now you deserve a reward. The best way imo is to sell your tv and don't buy snacks. That way, you only need willpower in the supermarket for a short period of time. The exercise should be no problem because that is fun. And the flossing is neutral, so that shouldn't give you any problem either. I think you need a goal for every habit you install.
  21. Hi Jon, some quick advice...change your self image. Ofc you do. You put pressure on yourself. You study for yourself, not to satisfy your parents. Take responsability for your own life Bullshit. Bad marks motivate you and show you what erea you need improvement in. Don't blame the bad mark for your reaction to it. Simply change your reaction. Another set of limiting beliefs that you can change around. And don't compare yourself with others Dig around in this subject some more.
  22. @Sprinkles Imo, the when meditating part is important here. Improving the self image, changing your belief system and other conscious work is done with affirmations, vizualization, self inquiry, shadow work etc. To me, this is not meditation. Meditation is quieting your monkey mind, not having thoughts at all, just being. This can sometimes cause emotions to surface, 'good' or 'bad' emotions. The point is not to resist this, not even the 'bad' ones. Just let them flow and be aware of them.
