I would say that first off it's realizing that there is no "best way." It is far more complex and the best arguments and most functional notions will be dynamic and incorporative. Shapiro's can sometimes be hard to debunk because there is an element of truth to them that is woven into the fabric of the argument. Each argument or notion is different and a truly skilled and deep thinker will be open to all possibilities and complexities. My reply is kinda abstract but it's sort of how it is. There is no best way just better habits and ways of approaching issues and looking for integrative solutions.

yeah you are right. for instance I don't think some person who plots out some terrible rape or murder even though they may appear articulate is doing so from a place of no suffering or selfless love but out of some deep seeded fear or pain.

this is just spiritual mumbo jumbo at this point. it has yet to be integrated into the relative for me. it's easy preaching stuff like this until someone wrongs you on a deep level and you have to practice what you preach. hmm this is helpful. it's easy to judge them but if I was to experiencing their point of view with whatever means they have I would likely be making similar choices they are.

This already happens with the unfortunate circumstances of ignorance. If anything it being legal will allow for a system to be built so some kid knows not to take 7grams of mushrooms or some person doesn’t die at some unsanctioned retreat.

You seem to be the ones making (I think) claims without even saying what they are. I’m not wasting my time reading some random book because some people on this site seem to be worried about something they aren’t even bothering to articulate what they are talking about.

There won't be another lockdown in the US. A country of this scale just isn't developed enough to coordinate such an effort not to mention there being a huge lack of institutional support in all areas of government. Smaller, less polarized countries with better welfare systems can pull it off but not the US.

I just wonder if I'll see a stage green revolution in my life time or if it's going to be one long battle out of blue/orange :\

Your survival is taken care of when you take care of it. Doesn't matter what you do. You can do it in a functional/selfless way or a greedy/selfish way.

I've seen it as well in the Ayahuasca community. Some people who are eccentric go in strange and dysfunctional directions.
