If the telecommunication companies were creating 5g and selling future stock options on this technology but the iphone had yet to be invented (or even projected/imagined how it would be) with years away from anything resembling an iphone being invented, would you be dumping cash into 5g? This is basically the quality of logic behind people justifying their bitcoin investments as future tech investments.

I think the greatest way to understand pick up is to think less and feel more. Too many mental models to fall into.

I'm mostly convinced the whole ordeal/trap of solipsism on this forum comes from the ego's desire to be the center of everything. "I am" is basically stage 1 of survival. The ego would love to be the only center in a boundless field where everywhere is the center yet paradoxically all are "at the exact same place." Even the spiritual ego so to speak which people have problems discerning. That and I get the sense a lot of the seekers here are lonely introverts that don't interact with other people often. I have not seen this discussion come up anywhere as much in any spiritual community than I have seen here. Dunno why some people here can't see the brilliance in their own finiteness and ordinariness.

I don't think investing has to be something which interferers with creating. It really doesn't take much time to read a few books on it to start investing in the stock market. You can probably even just watch a few youtube videos and read up on what index funds and bonds to get. Real estate is much more involved. Stocks are meant to be passive income and put your money to worth rather than having it just sit around as cash. It's basically necessary if one wants to maintain a middle class lifestyle in this day and age not living from paycheck to paycheck.

people conflate far too many different aspects under the binary terms of enlightened and not enlightened. embodiment, emotional mastery, silent mind, understanding, different degrees and states of consciousness, spiritual awakening, selflessness, ego-death, etc. interesting how they paradoxically collapse in on each other.

Buying bitcoin cause you think you can sell it off in a year or two at triple of what you bought it for is not venturing into new technology, it's speculation. It's a poor distinction if you consider what is happening now as investing. no steady returns, no stability, no current foresight for a continued progression of this currency. if the entire market was getting behind it and working to accept it as payment, google developing something around it, etc and a container being built around it at the same pace of it's value rising I would be saying otherwise. As of now it is a pump and dump gamble. Don't be so foolishly slow to learn. You remember 2017? we will see this same trend continue a few times until in plummets to the value of Zimbabwe dollars and then see the tech behind it reemerge in a new form as a legitimate currency, decades away from that. In the meantime we will see these trends continue. It's currently the perfect pump and dump because it has the narrative of "future tech" behind it which is something society currently values.

this is speculation. you're conflating the future potential of what the technology/crypto currency will be and bitcoin. I said it in my earlier post. I am not talking about the potential of crypto. I am talking about bitcoin specifically. who knows what crypto and the subsequent systems around it will be in 50 years. in the mean time though all these ploys for it are pump and dumps with winners and losers.

I've experienced this as well, but I found myself circling back around (best I can describe it) to explore new dimensions of mystery. so interesting.
