  1. If anything this should make Israel more responsible when it comes to the use of violence but it seems they are willingly choosing to continue with it to complete the ethnic cleansing and genocide goal. Evil actions that are done with calculation and awareness are a lot worse than the spontaneous ones.
  2. The problem is not just the dead baby, a group of 2 million people who lost everything in life has been trapped like rats for almost 8 months living under the constant fear of being blown up any minute, that's just inhumane and cannot be justified whether it achieves getting rid of Hamas or not, A simple minded person would realize such actions will generate another Hamas within a decade. Also, the intention here doesn't even matter, what matters is the results. The results are mass civilian death and a radicalization of an entire population that will not only be angry towards Israelis, but against the whole world and anyone who stood by silent. I understand the importance in not being one-sided or criticizing too much. I have been working on that for a while, but when things pass a certain point I feel like neutrality becomes passivity. That's not only my opinion.
  3. Most people worldwide now know the truth about Zionism especially the new generation. The only ones who don't are the older ones who still follow mainstream media. That fake romantic image of 'Israel's glory & independence' which was created decades ago no longer holds. https://x.com/rafaelshimunov/status/1794902245173289248 this and the human shield argument. it's all over Instagram & X.
  4. https://x.com/mehdirhasan/status/1794823160086638982 "There are videos coming out of Rafah today of beheaded babies. Actual beheaded babies that you can see for yourselves - not the beheaded babies that the Israeli authorities invented to justify their genocidal assault, or the ones that Biden falsely claimed to have seen pix of." Is there anything the IDF accused Hamas of doing that they haven't done/ended up actually doing themselves?? When will this nightmare end? Is there anything more radicalizing than actually witnessing such atrocities in real life or even on social media on a daily basis for almost 8 months? In my opinion, this is literally the downfall of Zionism and Israel will never recover from this.
  5. A better use of one's time and for the sake of one's wellbeing is working on detaching oneself from all identities; and that includes Zionism whose reputation is beyond repair no matter how many attempts are made. It's just too late.
  6. I am in the process of planning my home meditation retreat for this year and would appreciate any tips. This will be my 5th retreat and it usually ranges from 7 to 10 days depending and how much time off I manage to take. My previous experiences have been life-changing and always left me feeling more happy, grateful, empathetic and a loving person. The retreats were mostly Vipassana meditation retreats but at home and without guidance. I also made some changes to the original Goenka Vipassana retreat schedule. For example, I had no restrictions on my sleeping hours or wake up time. I just happened to wake up randomly around 9 am and start my meditation practice from there. I would usually end up meditating for 8-9 hours per day not 10 hours. Also, I would do some 20 min Hatha Yoga sessions during the day even though exercise is not allowed in the 10 day Goenka retreat, as well as performing occasional prayers beside the meditation practice which is not allowed either. My question is, do I really need to follow those retreats schedule to the t or is it okay to allow myself some flexibility and continue what I have been doing? Another questions regarding the effect of the technique itself vs the effect of the duration of the retreat.. Do you have recommendations for a different type of meditation techniques suitable for a home retreat? Would a different technique give me different results in comparison to Vipassana? Also, how much impact does the duration of a retreat really have? Is a 10 day one really that different from a 7 day one for example?
  7. That's true yes. I see, I think my main question was whether it's a specific meditation technique. Yeah unfortunately a lot of those places are difficult to go to due to their location that's why online home retreats would also be of use. There's truth to that especially in the beginning techniques and methods are usually needed.
  8. @Danioover9000Sure. I meant there is no point in sharing a LonerBox tweet regarding the meaning of the ICJ ruling because we're already past the point of arguing whether it's genocide or not. There is already a clear evidence; esp with the recent mass graves discovery. At this point a legal definition from a 3 month old hearing is actually useless.
  9. @zurew who cares about definitions? We've reached a stage in which mass graves are being discovered and still some of you insist to argue. Both-Sidism no longer holds, it's past 6 months already. https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/04/gaza-discovery-of-mass-graves-highlights-urgent-need-to-grant-access-to-independent-human-rights-investigators/
  10. I am in a similar position but not a game artist yet. I finished art school over 2 years ago and ever since I have been facing difficulty in choosing an area to specialize in with arts for income generation out of fear that the time investment would eventually go down the drain with A.I slowly taking over most of it. I am currently just doing arts as a hobby and not for living. But couldn't this just a matter of time? and eventually it will catch up to replace 95% of artists out there and leaving only art directors to oversee the work?
  11. @Nivsch a very well-known page that shows in-ground footage is an Instagram page called Eye On Palestine. https://www.instagram.com/eye.on.palestine/?hl=en
  12. Enough with spreading this comparison because it has nothing in common with the Israel-Palestine conflict. It's completely different thing when the conflict is over land and one side keeps stealing more territories.
  13. That's a good documentary on the topic, with testimonies by both sides.
  14. https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/57540 Here's a book by an Israeli historian.
  15. "All our choices were made to reflect and confront us in the present, not to say look what they did then, rather what we do now. "Our film shows where dehumanization leads at its worst. It's shaped all of our past and present." The movie's plot: Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höss and his wife Hedwig strive to build a dream life for their family in a house and garden beside the camp... Sounds familiar?
  16. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-government-resume-unrwa-funding-1.7134961 Canadian government will resume funding to United Nations relief agency for Palestinians: source Hopefully, some good news in the horizon. Like in this case, public opinion and independent media that pushes for scrutiny can sometimes save lives.
  17. It's not out of spite, it's an attempt to raise awareness regarding what's happening and stop it or at least decrease its severity. We're privileged to live in a time that has independent media that can scrutinize dangerous propaganda that has repeatedly been guilty of starting endless wars. Furthermore, what's shared here is only a small fraction of the graphic in-ground media a lot of people have been exposed to on a daily basis for the past 5 months. We all know not all Israelis support blocking aid and not all IDF soldiers commit war crimes, the problem with that 5% you mentioned is that it signals a systematic problem in the Israeli gov because it continues to allow it. That 5% in a month will turn into 50% and become the standard if it's not stopped; instead, it's praised by gov officials like Ben Gvir's comment and his support for the Flour Massacre. Narratives change because of introduction of new information. The Israeli gov hasn't presented any new actions or proposals to make Pro-Palestinian people change their pre-narrative. If anything, it has confirmed the most extreme narrative out there which is the genocidal and ethnic cleansing intent. On the other hand, some Pro-Israeli people are still stuck in Oct 7 narrative and regardless of how much new information they are being presented with in regards to what's taking place in Gaza, they still support this war.
  18. Human rights organizations are also spreading lies? Are you referring to the flour massacre? the link I shared is a different war crime, and it's not even the first time just look up Rachel Corrie. As for the the flour massacre 112 were killed by gunshot and even if some were killed due to the crowd that's still Israel's fault because they are deliberately starving a population.
  19. https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/6202/Israeli-tanks-have-deliberately-run-over-dozens-of-Palestinian-civilians-alive,-says-Euro-Med-Monitor Israeli tanks have deliberately run over dozens of Palestinian civilians alive
  20. Without having a moral legitimacy such strategies don't work long term. Israel has officially set itself up as an enemy for billions of people around the world. Remember that impermanence is the only truth and power dynamics sooner or later will change.
  21. Sadly it was very effective. Just look around and you will see most people are literally numb to the fact that there is an ongoing genocide and starvation happening to an entire civilian population yet choose to remain mentally stuck in October 7th.
