Yes it's a good question. If there is a divine being you feel close to, and you begin to connect and get to know this being, it may help you a lot. I have a relationship like that with a Goddess, it's truly wonderful, I'm so happy she helps me! When you reach a really high level and the prana feeds you and you have everything you want, then maybe you don't need to ask the divine beings for assistance, but who is at that level? I know 3 teachers who appear to be at that level, but they know about the occult and how powerful it is, both the darkness and the light. -

I think a true guru should have a powerful energy/aura that we can feel. If they are like a normal person then I don't trust them. Aura/energy is a sign of progress, it doesn't lie. -
I read a book about intuition. The experts who were interviewed very rarely received strong intuitions. And for example when Dalai Lama gets an intuition he doesn't just act on it, he also asks other people and consults his oracle. I only know one person who has a strong enough intuition to be able to follow it always, and he is basically an enlightened avatar with insane powers. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's probably a good idea to do what Waken wrote and follow your joy, try to find out what job and lifestyle would work for you.

I will answer to see what my understanding is: If a human thinks he is a human, he is right, it's a natural silent knowing. However, if a thought appears in the mind of this human that begins to pretend that it is the human, then a duality is created. Before, the human would feel connected with everything else, but after the arising of this thought the human would feel that he is only a human and everything else is other. The I-thought is like a spider web of thoughts, identity, concepts etc that keeps the human from seeing/feeling clearly. It's not that you are supposed to lose all identity and think that you are nothing, just look beyond the spider web with inner silence and you may eventually see the truth, your natural identity as a human is an impersonal thing appearing in awareness. -

It's rare to find a good teacher. It's rare for a good teacher to find a good student. When you meet your destined teacher it will feel incredible, very joyful, and you will evolve quickly with his/her grace. -

@LfcCharlie4 I agree! Do you basically always have inner silence? And when you do things it's from your intuition/instinct/feeling instead of the mind/thoughts? My teacher is helping us get to that state of being, he says at some point we will get there and there will be no going back, so I want to learn more about it What is your opinion about thoughts? -

Yes the education may not give you everything you need to help your patients well. However, if you are passionate about psychology you can always learn more on your own, the education will help you get a job so it's still worth a lot. -

Yes maybe. But we don't need to label it or speculate about it, it is whatever it is. The scientists will find their answers, the non-dualists will have theirs, maybe they will eventually be the same, we will see -

Wow that was interesting to read, thanks for sharing! It feels like maybe his ego/I-thought is still alive, and he is still seeking, he hasn't found it yet. However, I don't know because there are reasons to think he may be correct: My teacher is like an avatar, he was born enlightened, has never taken drugs, and can enter a state where he is aware of everything in the universe. He spent 6 months in that state and said that it felt very lonely, so he went back to being more normal and not knowing everything in that way. The new-agers sometimes talk about that some of us, the old souls, the starseeds, are basically bored light-beings who chose to incarnate here, even though things are kind of crazy here on earth, because sometimes this is more fun than being in that higher dimension where everything is love all the time. Sometimes when I look at people who are not spiritually awake or enlightened but just awesome, happy people, I feel that they are still very enlightened and perfect in a way, perhaps more than some more awake people. However I do think there are states of enlightenment that some yogis have attained that feels good and perfect for hundreds of years, maybe even forever. -

Someone asks a concrete question and he gets these philosophical answers, it seems like the intention is to make him quit focusing on worldy events and focus on non-duality instead. If everyone had that attitude society would not have evolved much We can speculate and use the mind and still be connected to the Self. -

My teacher says some type of shift and cleansing is going to happen this year. Some new agers also believe it will happen this year by the end of December, a solar flash that creates a global awakening. -

Why is your definition of enlightenment and spiritual teachings better than the yogic teachings or new-age or Buddhism? If a normal person listened to you for 10 minutes, really understood it and their mind stopped believing in the false character. 1 hour later they create their own Ashram and begin working as a spiritual teacher, would that seem sane to you? Or do you think that maybe there is more to spiritual growth, like clearing out emotional distortions, becoming more balanced and free, having the kundalini awakening etc? -
@Leo Gura His info has helped a lot of people. What you write may be a healthy attitude to have, but the reality of the situation is unshakeable, it really works for a lot of people! The celery juice alone removed my pimples in two days, I'm sensitive to energies and how things affect my body and I could really feel the celery juice working and healing me. The 369-detox-program felt so blissful, my body is so happy when I detox like that.

I think it's a good question, I don't think people should judge you for asking it In some yogic texts there is a long list of personality traits that an enlightened teacher is supposed to have, almost no one has all of them, not Leo or any non-duality teacher I know of. There are some yogis and Buddhists who are at that level. -

You could try to find a meditation group or similar spiritual gathering in your city where you can meet like-minded people. It can be very magical and inspiring, we were totally spellbound by this meditation leader who I'm sure is an elder soul, her aura of love and purity and the energy she transmitted, there was even an atheist there who were amazed by the experience and could feel it. Everyone labels things and even though the Absolute/the Self may be the highest truth, it's important to engage with the creation and nothing wrong with having beliefs in my opinion. Why would you tell someone that their beliefs are wrong? After that deeper surrender, would the indigo person then stop believing they are an indigo person? I think it's possible to have beliefs that are not an emotional crutch. -
Seraphim replied to Dumuzzi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I'm sure it's not limiting. We all have beliefs and preferences. In my opinion, it's not our beliefs and preferences that prevents us from seeing the oneness, it's our consciousness: It can awaken and become more aware, I think you have had an awakening like that so you know, you could join a crazy sect and still be aware of your true nature -
Seraphim replied to Dumuzzi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I have been told something similar, I often get a lot of attention even though I'm very quiet, and when I have been to meditation groups and similar spiritual gatherings people have told me things about me. I'm not an ambitious person, my spiritual journey has no reason, I just feel drawn to it. I had a past life working with an avatar teacher, and I was able to find him again in this life after my kundalini awakening, I haven't told him but he agreed to be my teacher, he sends me these meditation songs that he puts shaktipat into, it's very powerful, I will embody my higher self and then I will be like the sun that supports all life on this planet, a person like that affects the collective consciousness more than 1 million people do, so that's one way we can help change things for the better. The most important thing is to follow your feeling and intuition, anyone can have an amazing life if they do that, people keep underestimating this simple advice, but it's not always easy to understand what the intuition is telling us so I get why people follow their ego/minds instead. -

Absolutely! That's why for example Buddhist monks are okay with their simple lifestyle, they don't need entertainment because the joy and happiness coming from within is immense. I once met someone who had an aura/energy that was like the sun. Not just happiness but also inner power and energy that affected everyone near him in a good way. Humans have a great potential, reach that state! -

What if you tell them to discover spirituality for themselves, trying different things, and if Christianity is the real truth then they will find their way back to it, and with an even stronger faith this time. Also, the historical evidence shows that Jesus was the leader of a Jewish sect, and when he died his close followers continued with their Jewish traditions, it wasn't anything like the modern Christianity. And throughout history, the church has always said that the world will end soon, but they were always wrong, they don't know everything -

Jivanmukti's book called "Siddha Param-para. The key to bio-spiritual immortality." It's a shaktipat transmission. She is a yogi, not a non-duality teacher, that which the non-dualists call enlightenment is just the beginning of yoga. When I got the book and held it and looked at it I had a kundalini experience, some kind of awakening. There are some especially powerful chapters that really puts me in a meditative state, some that helps transform emotional distortions and so on. -

He is channeling, Serapis Bey and his own aspects. That's where the energy comes from that his audience feels. I hope Matt will meet a yogi one day, someone who really knows energy and radiates their own energy to the students and who teach from intuition instead of channeling. -

I think "A car is to walking as shaktipat are to meditation" But I guess everyone has a unique path and maybe psychedelics is for you. You just have to make sure to follow your feeling and intuition and you will be on the right path! -

@PeaceOut96 There are people who have used law of attraction to heal themselves while laying in their hospital bed. It can do magical things like that. The world is not rigid and static (in my opinion). -
Seraphim replied to Thestarguitarist14's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Amazing! It's always inspiring to see people succeed with this. I'm part of a group who use it to shapeshift. I need to increase the power of my focus, to make it more efficient, do you know how I may be able to to that? Our teacher says we need to go into the state without thoughts and sends us many meditations with shaktipat for this purpose, but it's too difficult for me right now, quite addicted to thinking still...
