AtheisticNonduality replied to Ahbapx's topic in Intellectual Stuff: Philosophy, Science, Technology
@thisintegrated I'm not terribly inclined to be amazed with this stuff---well it's not even really stuff, just collage nonsense---but I recognize it's the infrastructure/foundation for something else to come. -

@thisintegrated This stuff is basically just the cut-up technique done robotically, throwing randoms together or making slight readjustments and then calling it impressive. But perhaps it will develop into something greater . . . -
@thisintegrated Take it back; take it down, and end it!

Basically what I wrote here, except this was based on motion as finite separations within infinity rather than magic hats with infinite rabbits. -

Human morality is based on emotions, and the people programming the functions of the AI would have emotions. -
Indigo/psychic - nature mysticism, one has seen the Witness that is behind everything in one's mind and that this Witness is the same across all of Nature and all other beings. One then "converses" with other systems through identifying with the same thing shared by all: the Over-Soul. There is a post-mental "knowledge" of Nothingness that permeates everything and is the Witness; the subject-object duality may collapse. Violet/subtle - deity mysticism, one's consciousness begins radically changing, you get pulled into a vortex so to speak, you have intense visions of lights or vivid beings like angels or others, you have a sense of God that may have a personalized form as if you are communicating with some higher intelligence but only by communicating with oneself. Ultraviolet/causal - formless mysticism, total God-realization, absolute comprehension of infinity and Nothingness, ego death, ascent into a higher realm. Clear light/nondual - This higher realm is recognized as identical with the world because there is no difference between anything.

Where are you on the map?
-
@thisintegrated Yeah, except he actually models in SES how things emerge in that specific order.
-
@thisintegrated The psychic stage and the "telepathic" abilities just refer to perceiving all of Nature as manifestations of a single soul, so everything is connected and you have access to it all. Your psyche can commune with everything else in that way.

My earliest memory is when I was three on the lawn outside a hospital in Boston. It was my third birthday, and my father had bought me a kite and was demonstrating it in the sky. My mother had cancer and was wearing a white hospital gown, standing pretty far away. There was a cement truck that I was fascinated with while trying to get my mother's attention to point it out to her. I did feel love, but it was very sad and distant. My mother was my favorite person in the world during my childhood. Snuggling, watching movies, reading little books like the McDuff series. My memory is not bringing up much else now, but I feel a lot more. There was a time when I was at some party at some other child's house where the children were in the basement and the adults were upstairs, and I was really upset because I couldn't find the way out of the basement. So that's another example where the love wasn't gone but just far away. Unlovingness is what I felt a lot of the time in the schooling system. I didn't really understand other people but was immersed inwardly. In preschool, there were puzzles that were made of pieces to different stars and planets and nebulae that made images of outer space with these colorful cosmic bodies and swirly wisps of galaxy on a black void, the vacuum of space. And I had very existential thoughts taking place in an introverted chamber of a really wondrous, philosophical feeling. I was thinking about, with the mental backdrop of these outer space pictures in mind, where the space came from. And I asked myself why there's something rather than nothing in the scant language I had access to at the time, but I felt meaning, like a cosmic pull, from that. And while zoned into that, I was zoned out of the school lesson and the rest of the things in my environment, which I couldn't understand. I didn't speak to people at school much, barely at all, and used to get taken aside into a room with the slower kids because I was very bad "academically" in elementary school. So there was some concern that I was autistic or slow that caused me to undergo some test, which I remember but didn't really comprehend the meaning of. Apparently, I was not autistic or low IQ but actually with a prodigious IQ and a little introversion, but I doubt some of that characterization a bit. I had a teacher that was strict to the point of being abusive, and, not wanting to be a target, I became more inclined toward academics. It was at that point that my intelligence became like a drug, where I enjoyed being able to understand things better than other people just by being myself. I definitely got love and validation out of that. I've made myself feel unloved before. I've hurt other people and myself. There were points where I ruined my mind and made it uninhabitable to my soul, and I suppose my goal now is to let the soul return. -
You have no idea.

But you're nothing without me. ?

The general trend is for society to get more focused on human exploration / stimulation rather than survival the longer and more advancedly we can live. What implications are in a society where everybody is increasingly closer to immortality and can modify themselves and their descendants in endlessly conceivable ways?

@thisintegrated We need to build a megastructure.

Reality is not limited to experience. Here's a cool song about not believing in God and earth-visiting aliens.

@thisintegrated Difference exist, but they are permeations of the same thing.

It is not a part of everything. Everything is limited to objective form. It is not. Because they're not fundamentally identical and don't serve the exact same purpose, unless they both serve the purpose of Existence itself. In which case, the question is like asking why a rock and an apple are different if they are both in the same Existence. The spatial difference between two objects, the temporal difference between two eras, and the perceptive difference between two disparate fields of perception are all achieved by the same generator: Nothingness.

Nothing permeates everything, however, it is not limited to everything. There is a Nothingness that knows no form. If you cannot have access to this, that is a cosmic level of ignorance. Verification is a remnant of the materialistic paradigm that exists in your mind. Not all things necessitate empirical (formally and demonstrably and observably repeatable through measurement) evidence for their knowledge. Knowledge is merely a correlation that allows high-purity deductions to hold true. One has the ability to understand parts of reality ones has not glimpsed.
