Not sure what is being asked. Well it's tricky . You are both the experience and the experiencer . Your true self is like empty pure consciousness (think of deep sleep ). The waking state +the dreaming state wherein there are perceptions and perceiver are superimposed upon the deep sleep state which is pure eternal consciousness. It doesn't change .from the perspective of pure consciousness there is no experience..no birth ..no death..no life ..no nothing. Nothing has ever happened. Your entire life is a thought . -

You still don't get It. There isn't a "forever ". Leo Is talking about timeless presence. NOW. HERE. No death .no persona .no Forever . You are absolute static eternal consciousness. The human persona and its life and Linear time only exists in appearances. There isn't actually a past and a future. Like how a movie progresses even though the screen is absolutely and completely static. -

@emil1234 @Breakingthewall what is death? Iike literally what the fuck is death? Enough fooling around.. what is it? Contemplate this using direct experience. Not using logic.. Or dichotomies.. Or human knowledge etc ..But from a first-person direct approach.. Death is literally ... "Something bad that is going to happen to you in the future"..that's it. And what exactly is that? A thought happening now. Nothing more. Eh? You might say "yeah but of course im going to die someday"... No!.. you don't know that. Forget about all your buts and ofcourses. Death is in the future. There is no future or yesterday. Quite literally. I realized that If firmly grasp the significance of this insight it would make me immortal. Now this is not possible without losing my mind a little bit and becoming insane in a sense. Because That's the only thing that makes me afraid of death.. Is the cultural societal brainwashing that death is a real thing. -

@Breakingthewall I don't want to egange in splitting hairs nor do I want to get personal with you . Bottom line is everyone in this world including you ..me ..Leo..Trump.. etc have their heads set on stone and they think they've figured it all out and there is not much to learn from each others. We should know better .if you don't resonate with me or at least with Leo then fine . -

😏 I am ONLY answering just to help interested people come out of many misconceptions . From what I understand.. once you realize you are infinite Self aka God meaning that you are no longer identified with anything that changes (like the mind or body) then everything else is gravy. When you realize that you are that nondual awareness both transcendent and immanent in all creation then you see that you've always been and will always be "immortal". But not you as a human personality.. you as that fundamental awareness beyond all description. That is perhaps more accurately "eternal" which automatically make you immortal. Even if you shoot yourself in the head and your body dies .. all of that still happens within the Absolute or the Self. If you actually "do the work " instead of mentally masturbating and being so full of yourself doubting this stuff ..you will realize that you are not the body .this is ABC spirituality #101. How could you be the body when it's always changing ? Science tells us the every 10 years all of our cells get replaced by new ones. So how can you be the same body throughout the course of your life? You are that which is aware of the body. This will take you just 30 minutes everyday of practicing meditation to realize. But unfortunately you are not doing the work to awaken . You are just here to doubt everything and everyone. And to teach and school everyone .Which is kinda sad to see. -

a possible explanation for this quote is ..if all you have is the present moment..and the future is something you are imagining by definition..and since death exists only in the future..therefore death is imaginary. You can indeed see people die in your life. But everyone can die except you. This realization requires insane degrees of open-mindedness and "cosmic skepticism".. Or otherwise it won't make much sense . Everything is imaginary but there are degrees to imagination. A thought about death is imaginary . But a brick wall is also imaginary yet more solid form of imagination. His point is that the only certain thing in existence is what's happening right fucking NOW.!. The past and the future are completely imaginary and unreal . Don't underestimate the power of this fact .you think you've got it but you don't. When you get it you will be left speechless in awe . When you fully understand this you might want to consider to let go of a lot of bullshit that you believe. -

https://www.actualized.org/insights/absolute-presence-immortality "Imagine becoming so absolutely present in your consciousness that you could not die because you are too present for a past or future to enter your mind. No birth. No death. Just absolute consciousness. If you could achieve such a level of presence, you would literally become immortal. What if death was nothing other than the story in your mind that "I will die"? How would you know the difference between "real death" and your story of it? What if that difference is itself a story? What would happen if you never again had the thought that you were born and never again had the thought that you will die? "But Leo! If I do that, then I'll die!" Will you? Is this just philosophy, or is this actually possible? ". - Leo. -

Maybe ask one question as an example and see if folks here have specific answers. Either way this heading is a good question. And the answer is paradoxical. I like to distinguish between relative superficial knowledge and answers and absolute definitive answers. You can definitely answer questions about existence but these answers don't have 100% explanatory power . For instance ..why does the sun rise in the morning ? Well because the earth rotates around its axis. But that's not a full comprehensive answer because why does the earth rotate around itself ?! Well because gravity or whatever..yeah but why and why and why ?!! ...And on and on we can extend this line of questioning apparently endlessly. The final answer would something like : because God. Lol. The absolute final answers are all its because God did it . And God is the ultimate origin of everything. Try to comprehend the majesty and profundity of God. God is the absolute answer to every question. And science (which keeps evolving and perfecting itself with time ) is the relative answer to partial phenomenon like why does the sun rise every morning. You might ask then what is God? Well it literally cannot be spoken. Nobody REALLY knows. Even God himself. -

Nothing feels better than being by yourself in the midst of the night resting in pure being and consciousness. Right 👉? -
Someone here replied to Howtolive's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Howtolive Radical Self-Love. See Leo's video on Self-Love . if you're talking about lower-case (s) self ..then simply befriending your body and taking good care of it like how a mother take care of a newborn. Feeding it the right food..giving it exactly what it needs .that means if it needs to cry ..let it cry..if it needs to masturbate ..let it masturbate etc If you're talking about uppercase (S) Self then doing the same thing to all of existence.. If you pet some trees.. You can notice the connection between everything. You can see how these trees are literally yourself. Try to say hi to the trees as you walk past them. People will call you nutcase but say hi to them too . Try to notice everything as yourself. It's easier to try this exercise in nature. Plants. Trees. Animals. Sea ..etc. imagine If you can train this capacity to include the whole universe. Such that you cough love into everything. literally every piece of existence is yourself. Meditation is great(although I slack off of it ). I don't want to get involved and entangled in a complex Web of concepts and splitting hairs ..since it is a great a topic and I thank you for raising these questions..I will share what is authentic to me .. I made a distinction between the ego and the Self. The ego is the sense of separation. It comes from thoughts . So to it makes feel finite .confined to a body .so you should love the body and take care of it . Not get out of your comfort zone . You should babysit the body. But if we are talking about the infinite Self then that means loving Everyone and Everything. A radical thing which very few humans on the planet can do. -

It depends. Being nobody vs being somebody has pros and cons . A rock is nobody .it doesn't feel anything that a human being feels .which means it doesn't suffer ..but also It doesn't eat or have sex . A human can enjoy food and sex but he is destined to suffer as well unlike a rock . So which one is better overall ..being a rock or a human ? Being a nobody or a somebody ? -
Someone here replied to TruthFreedom's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Unsatisfied or unsatiated desire..endless desires which don't end or amount to anything other than the expansion of thirst instead of quenching it are indeed part of the root of suffering. Buddhism teaches this. But also ..another factor which Buddhism doesn't teach is limitation . The fact that you appear to be a limited body is the root of suffering. i cant conceive of perfect happiness as long as I'm stuck in this body made of flesh and bones having to get hungry and tired and depressed etc. Constantly The only true happiness and boundless perfection is unlimitedness . But I have not the slightest clue how to get there. I'm afraid that physical death might be the only way . -
I believe the more conditioning you add the more time you have to spend to get rid of it. I remember when I was a child my mind was clear .I was enjoying the moment. No worry..or anxiety..or overthinking..or existential worries..I could fall asleep in few minutes etc . And with age the opposite happened in tandem . And I'm not that old for fuck sake I'm only 26 so there is no mid life crisis or anything like that yet . No wonder very old people begin to lose their beans and they are quasi crazy . Anyone had the same realization? And the bad part is that also as you age meditation becomes more difficult yet more needed which is a bad combo .new conditioning accumulates each year which make it somewhat more difficult.

OK fair point . -
Someone here replied to Husseinisdoingfine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
if you want to ignore the context and get only a superficial perspective you will only read what you want to. You have tons of hatred to Islam that makes this convo pointless. Muhammad just happened to be a political leader not just a spiritual man . He was forced to deal with his society in the way he did .unlike Jesus .if Jesus was in charge of anything resembling a city.. If so he would've fought and did exactly like Muhammad. -

@Breakingthewall Christianity was responsible for killing millions in Europe in the dark ages . So your point about Islamic terrorism applies also to Christian religion. Besides..my point was about the same mechanism in both religions that if you reject the religion you shall burn in hell fire forever. both Islamic and Christian religion have that in common . You didn't address my point . If both use the same fear tactics then why the bias? -
Someone here replied to Husseinisdoingfine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
OK my bad .I just jumped to that conclusion based on this. -
Someone here replied to Husseinisdoingfine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Breakingthewall btw sorry about what happened to your mom . -
Someone here replied to Husseinisdoingfine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Breakingthewall It is true what you said about terror if you mean by it the fear of going to hell fire if you do prohibited things or if you outright reject Islam. But isn't the exact same thing runs amok in Christian religion? What happens if you reject Jesus as your Lord and savior ? Guess what ? Fucking hell fire. So why you not critical of Christianity as well ? Islam..when you take into account the Quran and the Ahadith and various rulings beyond that.. is very prescriptive and thorough. This grants peace of mind to the believers that adhere to it. However.. if you morally disagree with some of the contents therein.. that's where it gets categorized as problematic. Or mentally castrating .This is why you're hearing such contrasting things. To some people Islam is beautiful. To others Islam is concerning. You mentioned that your mother was a Muslim and they killed her .this puts something into perspective for me . -
Someone here replied to Husseinisdoingfine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Breakingthewall why the burning butt and radical despise of Islam ? I'm starting to think you live in Afghanistan or something where radical Islam is dominating the scene and you have a complex about it . I'm not gonna ask you where you from because apparently you enjoy hiding behind a keyboard. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Great but wait a minute this means you actually disagree with me ..you're saying each year meditation becomes easier ..whereas I'm saying each years it becomes more challenging to sit still and do nothing because your brain rots and becomes evermore attached to mental stimulating activities. And we live in a time where everyone are constantly stimulating themselves with video games and Internet etc . Everyone nowadays is a mindless zombie. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Interesting. Osho also have said you can turn your whole life to a meditation process by being mindful with whatever is present without your mind or attention wandering. But I think this requires training. You need to be advanced meditator to do that . -

You might be surprised but it's easy to have sex with a hooker In my country than to have a long term girlfriend. I fucked a bunch of girls and had phone sex with foreigners but having a girl to dedicated your life to is not easy and requires maturity and "manhood ". So my advice to you Is before thinking about getting chicks you should focus on getting in touch with your masculine energy. If you are not already..then become independent ..secure..confident..strong (both mentally and physically) and you will become a guy that women are attracted to. And they will chase after you .✌

@integral not possible. I agree with Leo the world is a fucked up place and this isn't pessimism from my part. Just stating some fact. the default state of any living organism is basically tension and stress . You are naturally dying and decaying. That's the path of least resistance. Inertia. So you have to put on constant effort to go against this decaying process and survive. This expresses itself for example in the constant ever renewable biological needs (water...food... Rest). It kinda when you put it into perspective.. It shows you that life is indeed a worthless piece of shit. But it's not an option to quit the game. To be or to be. Is the choice.
