First of all sorry for your loss . I hope your father is in a better place right now . Now I can't relate that much unfortunately because I haven't lost a loved one in my life yet..I mean I did but its just different people sometimes have different paths in life ..so it wasn't because of death . All I can say is that death isn't completely a bad event . For life to exist death must exist ..if you look at the ecosystem and how animals live in the jungle you will see its because the lion eats the rabbit that there can be balance In nature . Old people are usually detached from life .they don't give a fuck anymore .there is an old man who lives near my house..I talked to him ..he told me I literally could die anytime peacefully I've grown sick of life . You'd think that life is always good but no ..wait until you start growing old and everything in your life even a sip of water becomes a burden even your breath becomes a burden then you might say thank goodness death exists. This is for my own benefit. There is not much to read in this journal. This is just for my own personal development. Not for a reader other than me . I'm realizing an increasing dependency on cigarettes, sugar,porn,music,video games to regulate my mood .I feel like absolute piece of shit whenever a day passes without some or all of these things .I'm confident to say I'm addicted to them . This journal is just a public recoding of trying to quit these things for an entire year ..starting from today 14/11/2024 until Christmas of year 2025 . Then I will see where I will be moving from there . I'm also going to stop posting in the main forums. I will only stick to the journaling section until December 2025. I'm not gonna quit music and video games as I do need something pleasurable to regulate my mood . I'm not ready for a complete monk mood . So I'm going to quit cigarettes and pornography. There we go . Today is day 1. I will keep a day count here .

@Tristan12 also I suggest reading and listening to Robert Adams. He is a an american classical nonduality teacher who died in the 90s. Google his name and read and listen to him.

@Tristan12 Might sound silly to some . but I have deep compassion for you when you said you are afraid to die to not go to a hell realm .. as it plagued me as well. All I can say those notions are gone. Are you familiar with Jim Newman? Also @Princess Arabia is good at conveying this point im about to make . There is just what is immediately appearing already..and no one is separate from this to do anything about this. In seeing this..all problems were left unsolved..yet disappeared. There is simply what already is immediately appearing to happen. This was solved before apparent liberation btw.Even before that it was more or less settled via contemplating alone . Another thing ..If you want to completely be free of those fears..the only real way is to go to hell and die. (I'm speaking metaphorically. chillax mods). The best way.. that I know of..to get to heaven is by gowing to hell and die.. and then eventually wake up in heaven. Use advice at own risk. (Although absolutely speaking..there is no risk..only reward . there is nothing to be afraid of. Everything is temporary. there is nothing bad that can happen to you in the ultimate level)
