Someone here replied to Monde's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No the water is so real and I drank it all. I felt it in my mouth and body.. Totally. The air and the water are obviously not the same.. If I drink the air it won't satisfy my thirst no matter how much I drink (sniff or whatever) unlike the water. If you think they are the same..please refrain from using one of them and just use the other for the rest of your life. -

I just finished right now as I said. The cup is totally dry and empty . Further questions? -

I just finished drinking a cup of water. Unfortunately I'm still thirsty but it contains only so much water. Seems like it's finite. -

Is that your direct experience in Day to day life? -

Seems like there is duality between duality and nonduality. They both emply each other. -

Have you experienced this state? If yes through which method? -

I think it's disrespectful for you to assume that I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing. Just because you couldn't convince me of something doesn't mean that I'm just Playing word games. I'm asking rational questions and hoping to find convincing answers. -

Correct me if I'm wrong. This means that nonduality is simply the state of nothing and no experience whatsoever which we discussed before that it's impossible for that state to exist because that would be a contradiction by defention. So we could say that in order for anything or any experience to exist it must be dualistic. So that brings back the question " if everything that can ever possibly be must be dualistic.. What's the point of speaking about nonduality all day"?!!, I tried meditation btw. It calms me make me feel peace and detachment but it didn't turn the duality in the world into no duality unfortunately! -

How can I increase my awareness? -

It might exist. I know my direct experience is true because it's direct experience. It's true by definition. Now there might be a deeper truth beyond this direct experience.. But that doesn't contradict the direct experience. For example.. If I'm having a dream and seeing an elephant.. That elaphant is real so long as it's in front of me and the dream is still going. You might say there is a deeper reality behind this elephant but since it's not in direct experience or proved yet it will be just speculation. -
Hello I dream every day that's normal enough but something about last night's dream just made me think. It was so vivid and I was so immersed in it that when I woke up it felt like I was in a different universe and then I looked around and asked myself "what makes this world any different from the dream's world?". I got no answers. I kept the inquiry going and it lead me eventually to question the nature of reality. Is reality material? But what is "matter" really? We are just putting labels on the stuff we found in the world. If reality is material how can dreams happen? Dreams are very fascinating phenomenon.. Your mind literally create an entire world of matter (or at least an appearance of it) out of thin air through sheer imagination.. It is possible that this world ks I see around me was made by me using the same imagination.. It's not impossible after all I do that every single day when I dream at night lol. But then again this world is so consistent and it definitely has certain rules and limitations. I can't just jump and fly.Gravity exits etc. So if it's my imagination why can't I imagine it any way I want? And if it's material where did matter come from and why does it exist?

I think we should just trust direct experience because it is the case regardless of what you do or think or don't do and don't think about it. Something is here and nothing is just nothing. The closest thing to think of nothing is deep sleep.. The waking world is the total opposite of that. -

yeah and since i can think see and feel it is not empty and filled with stuff -

That's what distinguish reality from delusions.. If tomorrow I stopped believing hunger exist I would still get hungry and if didn't eat will die! If I stop believing that I'm this human body but rather I'm that TV screen over there that won't make me really the TV screen.. If someone punches the screen I won't feel anything but if someone punches the body I will feel pain. I'm really confused by this notion of "everything exist as nothing". What is nothing? Nothing is just nothing! No thing.. It's a concept that has no representation in the world. There is no such thing as nothing. The world is consisted of things! That's pretty obvious stuff we all can intuite the difference between deep sleep and the waking world! Once again I'm not sure how did you arrive at the conclusion of "all is one"? In which sense all is one? I have two objects right here.. They are not one!!! -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's hard for me to make sense of it. Can you explain it to me pls? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I'm not you! I inhabit this body and this point of the space-time and you inhabit your body and that point in space- time.. In what sense I am you? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I highly disagree. First of all what's the relation between this conclusion and the your previous paragraph? I don't see the link at all. Apparently the objects around me are real.. Here they are!!.. I'm not aware of me creating the world.. How do you know that I'm creating the world? What's your evidence of that? -

That's interesting way to inquire. "I" can't be anything that I'm aware of by defention because I'm the one who is aware itself. I agree. I can't pinpoint where exactly am I in the body because as we agree I'm the one who is doing the pinpointing itself!.. However this awareness force that is me is clearly limited by the body.. I'm aware of the body( not every single cell of it ofcourse which goes to prove the limits of my awareness) and the room that I'm sitting in right now.. I'm not aware of anything else in this vast universe.. So how can I be unlimited awareness?! -

No I'm watching Leo's videos for two years now. But I'm not convinced of everything he says. I listen to rupert Spira and mooji as well.. I don't accept everything spiritual people say but I don't reject it all either. I take what resonates with me. It's important to notice that the purpose of this topic is not to validate nonduality. I'm not begging the question here. I'm interested in finding the truth whatever it is. -

You are asking me here to go against not just common sense and logic but even direct experience. I'm not sure which "direct experience" are you referring to? I'm having direct experience of reality right now.. I feel my body and I see the world around me.. It consists of clearly distinct objects like TV chairs tables rocks animals people cars etc. What do you mean if I stopped thinking I will die? I clearly don't think while deep sleeping but I'm still alive and then i wake up normally! How do you know that "all is one"? Just how did you arrive at that conclusion? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I can't explain that with language because language is dualistic and it is dualistic because it's a description of reality and reality is dualistic. An orange is an orange and a rock is a rock .i can sit there and pretend that there is no duality between oranges and rocks for the rest of my life but still if I eat the orange it will nourish me and if I eat the rock it will kill me!. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Because the world is dualistic? Language and logic describe the world. And because we live in a dualistic world language and logic are dualistic.
