  1. I'm sort of a nihilist and subjectivity oriented. I do not think values are objectve. Just like meaning and purpose. Each person creates his own set of values and purposes and so forth. And no value is higher than other value. Only relative to how it surves different people.
  2. Good question. Truth for me is direct experience. Happiness.. Is freedom from pain and suffering and experiencing good feelings. I'm searching for truth and happiness. Because I'm human. So I won't be concerned about the highest value of other animals.
  3. No. It doesn't exist. I did not choose to type this comment rn. It had to happen.
  4. Agreed. Value is subjective. When we say something has value... We must add that it has value to whom.
  5. @Tim R ? wanna start a nonduality war?
  6. That's all imagination in zooming. Before zooming there is two separate colors. Anyways nice thought. But nonduality is not more true then duality.
  7. It all depends on how you define 'you'... 'exist'.. Etc What is for sure is that there is no phenomenonal experience during deep sleep. The only reason you can right now look back at and describe it as an experience or a "state" is because you woke up and you use your memory to analyze. My point is simply is that there is no consciousness during deep sleep. And by consciousness I mean sight or sound or smell or taste etc. Imagine a deep sleep phase that lasts forever.. In this case it would be like permanent annihilation and no statement can be said about it during it.
  8. Started taking the medications. It causes me to pass out immediately. So I must take them before bed. They work in reducing anxiety and tension in the body. Not gonna fix the root causes. Which I think smoking plays a huge role. It's necessary to stop smoking combined with taking the medication hopefully will come out of this phase Asap.
  9. Day 1 no smoking.
  10. The beginning is right now.
  11. As I said.. You can't say that you are in the gap while you are in gap (meaning you are not there). You can only describe deep sleep after it. And as I said the description (nothing) is not it.
  12. Nice analogies. Which actually prove my point . There is no point or 'use' of the bulb when it's off. An off bulb =no bulb. That's just a word game at this point. lol. They are fundamentally different. As I said you only remember the gap after you woke up. You are not conscious during the gap.. And that's why you can't say that you are in the gap while you are In the gap. Only after you wake few hours later.. The world was still there but you didn't witness anything during the period of sleep. Call it 'witnessing not witnessing' makes no difference to the experience. It's a tricky one to answer. But that's only because of the tricky nature of language. Let's not try to outsmart each other's and keep it down to earth. You sleep every night.. So you obviously experience deep sleep. But it's different as I said it's a non-experience.. Rather than an experience. This should make sense to you (obviously you know sleep very well) if wasn't for the barrier of language and smart-assery.
  13. As I said you are only aware of the gap. After you wake up you realize 8 hours have passed and your last memory is right before you went to bed. So it is like a lack of experience (gap) rather than experience. After all when you do a surgery and they need you to be In coma such that you don't feel anything. So we assume that when a person is sleeping.. He is in a state of no conscious experience.
  14. Idk it's trippy. It seems like you are there before you went to bed.. And then there is like a gap and you come up after that. You don't experience the gap. Last thing you remember is before you you went to bed (and if there were dreams in between).
  15. Identical. To experience something is to know it. To know what pepper taste like.. Is to experience it's taste.
  16. From experience. From experience. From experience.!!!!
  17. @Nahm nice channel. And good from you to teach us your wisdom and findings.
  18. @Gesundheit experience. The five senses. Perception of the 3D world.these are Available at the waking state and absent during deep sleep.
  19. @Gesundheit@Gesundheit You. You= Consciousness.
  20. What about them? They appear identical to the waking world.. And it's impossible to distinguish between the two. Unless you go lucid in a Dream. Sometimes you wake up from one dream to enter another dream. None of that is conclusive btw. It's easy to say you don't know if you're awake or dreaming at any given time lol.
  21. That might or might not be true from a third person pov (you have no way to verify that when you are sleeping). But what I mean is you lose 'experience'. There is zero experience in deep sleep. No colors or sights or sounds or any kind of phenomenal content. Interesting point about the alarm. But then again.. Sometimes you are so asleep that you don't hear the damn alarm @Gesundheit do you go to sleep at night?
  22. It seems as if you lose consciousness during sleep and then regain it again upon waking up. A mix of both. As is everything.
  23. It happens everyday. Bare In mind we have to start with some assumptions that should be taken on face value...if we get skeptical about everything we can't even get a conversation going lol.
  24. The waking state IS consciousness. Or at least it's illuminated by your consciousness. The first thing that happenes in the waking state is you regaining consciousness after sleep.
