  1. @Nahm where do beliefs come from? For example if you ask 99% of people do you believe you go to sleep and wake up they will tell you yes. If you ask 99 % of people do you believe the sun exists they will tell you yes. If you ask 99% of people do you believe Zeus exist they will tell you NO. What's the difference? A belief is a statement about reality. It could be false or true. Depending on how much accurate it is describing the world. No statement is 100% accurate ofcourse but some are more accurate than others. If you are denying all beliefs.. All language all logic.. Then what are you talking about even lol?? How can we communicate? What makes anything true or false? I don't want to die btw
  2. Go into details. Describe the process. How does resting happen? How do you know when you are having insomnia? What are you begging for when you haven't slept last night and have to wake up early? That's a problem for language and not for reality itself. Reality doesn't care about the errors in our mind's pathetic software "oh non existence does not exist because it's linguistically a contradiction". We all have an idea what deep sleep is.. Ofcourse the idea itself is not the actuality of but we all been asleep before.. So the question is not present. If you are a normal human being who goes to sleep every night and not some weird caffeine alien you shouldn't have a single doubt about this question. But as I said.. The mind likes to over-complicate stuff.
  3. I mean anyone says there is no deep sleep or that there is no loss of awareness during sleep.. Please from now on don't go to bed anymore even when you are about to go nuts from being excessively conscious. @Javfly33 do you go to bed at night? May I ask you why? What's your intention behind this activity?
  4. @Nahm you could say there is something prior to sleep and awake that is witnessing the two.. I have no problem with that and maybe that's what spiritual folks mean by "consciousness". To be clear and save the confusion.. If what is meant by "consciousness" is sight. sound.. Smell.. Taste. Touch.. Thought.... The answer is big NO.. These things do not exist in deep sleep. What is left is a very special state.. Feel free to call it "pure consciousness" but we both know the same thing that we are referring to and how it feels (not feels) like.
  5. The answer is so clear. The mind likes to over-complicate a Lot of things when they are so simple... In deep sleep there is no such thing as anything.. None.. Zero..all is gone.. No consciousness no self no other no existence no non-existence no nothingness no deep sleep even. It's so clear. You can mentally masturbate your way around this.. But I choose to go with obvious shit.
  6. @Dino D two questions.. Think about this.. 1 - are night-time dreams real or unreal? 2- if it turns out your whole life as you know was literally just a dream..does that mean your life NOW is unreal? .. Or is it still real?
  7. @zeroISinfinityt Tough times man.. But that's the natural consequence of hanging out too much with that guy ?
  8. What's the problem with discipline?? Short answer.. Because there is no one who can be disciplined or not disciplined. That's the root cause for all our failures to be disciplined in life. Who is being disciplined or lazy?? No one. If there is a center of your being "ego" who is the creator or source of thoughts and actions.. You won't have a single problem with being disciplined in life.. Why would you? If you are the source of everything you do and think.. There is no possibility of failing at losing weight or kicking any bad habit. But since it's not "you" who is creating your thoughts and actions.. The results are always random as random as these thoughts and actions.
  9. "There is no difference between sanity and insanity"
  10. Don't trust it.. But that won't change it because it's prior to your trust
  11. How is that any different from any other religious story? Any actuality to any of that?????
  12. It doesn't make sense. If an experience of pain is intensified to infinite degrees it will be no longer "pain". It will collapse and you won't feel anything. Just like when you get used to something you stop feeling it's presence after a while. That's why the idea of hell never made sense to me.. There is actually a "threshold of pain" in your brain. If the sensation is less or bigger than a certain range of electrical power.. You simply won't feel it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threshold_of_pain Also I don't buy the reasoning "because God is infinity he must experience everything".. But God is not a dumb mechanical deterministic mathematical formula. Think about it if you are all powerful would you use your power to torture yourself forever? That means you are all-dumb as well.. But as far as I know God is all-intelligent!
  13. I never was religious lol. I knew from the very beginning that all religions are different paths to inner wisdom and universal consciousness and the moment you take it as a dogma or a belief system you fundamentally misunderstand it.. Which is exactly what 99% of religious people are doing ?
  14. This is actually a brilliant analogy P.S drop the cigs and the alcohol.. They are horrible for your health.. You can get such insights while sober as well.
  15. Speaking about reincarnation.. He doesn't make perfect sense tho but I find It interesting nevertheless.
  16. Look around.. Do you see any "free will" there?
  17. And what is controlling the controller? ( And multiply it by infinity)
  18. @Member you still don't get it and you will never actually get it.. No-self is not a belief That "you" hold or drop because it makes sense to "you" or not...... Really sit down and inquire into your identity.. You say "you are the only certain thing that exists".. That's very important.. Now try to find out what is this most important thing ever actually is... It's just an idea,! You can't do anything about this.. When the "you" idea is not there.. There is no "you".. Unless there is a new "you" idea that arises This is epic if it clicks.
  19. @Member you really can't see the dualism or the two-ness in saying "me" and "my self"... My self?? Like my car.. Whatever you add to you is not you by defintion. Whatever you think you are is not what you are because it's a just a thought... Is it so hard to get this? 5 minutes of self-inquiry and see how!!!
  20. Will grant ya all your wishes if you could tell me what the fuck is "you" exactly. also answer the previous question.. If you are one.. What is this "yourself" that "you" are deluding? These are two.
  21. @Member so there is a you and a yourself??? Are you one being or two?
  22. @Harmony342 The one who has or has no idea what's going on is itself an idea that no one is having.. Sorry to ruin it all for ya
