Someone here replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@electroBeam I read your comment there and I totally get what you mean. And I wish you the best man. Although I find it difficult to understand you sometimes are these insights causing you suffering or causing you freedom from suffering. Or a mixture of both not sure. what you don't understand tho.. I don't make that distinction between mentally ill and not mentally ill.. The mind itself is ill. But to different degrees. So there is no safety.. Security.. Answers.. Or certainty to be found in the mind. I'm saying this because you seem to be suffering a bit from these insights. It's all purely mental. Sometimes we get so fucking lost in concepts we can't distinguish them from reality. How? How do you explain memories? You've got memories of suffering no? If you gonna dismiss them you gotta dismiss all memories altogether.. But apparently you didn't because you are using your memory of learning language to type this... who are you without a past? -

Dude.. You've reached a point beyond the mind. You are causing yourself suffering by this kind of a epistemological nihilism. How do you know the past really happened? Ofcourse you don't. But you've got memories.. I assume. How can you trust memories? Ofcourse you can't. You can't trust anything. Because you can not trust it if you wish. Simple as that how the mind works. . That's what happens when you push the mind to it's limits. It collapses. You discover that all your mental framework is just a house of cards. I would suggest picking up a meditation practice and just calm your mind and connect with the present moment. -
I'm sure Nahm is trying to point to something that is related to op.. Let's wait and see lol

How do you know death is real? -
I'm getting lost.. I admit it's a tough inquiry.. And honestly I don't see the link between existence and non-existence and my op...lol ? I would say tho what is possible to see is only existence.. Non-existence is more of a second order mental projection.

I see no point except in my mind. I see no suffering except in my mind. I see no why except in my mind. I see no delusion except in my mind. -
Ofcourse try to become a celebrity and see how that works.. Leo must throw away some controversy here and there.. That's how you get attention and stay in the picture.

And who is moving the human? The human is not rock bottom. You can keep going meta to infinity. And beyond. Rock bottom doesn't exist. The source is no one. No thing. Who would get? -

From my own experience.. The more awake you become the more thoughts arise.. But the more you don't give a fuck about em. -
It's really tricky.. It doesn't make sense to say non-existence exists. Because if it exists.. Then it's existence and not non-existence. But the word is here for a reason. It can only be used relatively. As I said.. You see the sun.. It exists.. Then it dissappears..you can say it's nonexistent. So there is a relative nonexistent. Ofcourse that exists as a thought. So yeah there is no actuality to non-existence in that sense.

Ofcourse no. It's like asking a bunch of blind people do any of you guys know what does the color red look like lol? For someone to know that he has to physically die and then come back somehow. So maybe ask people who had near death experiences . You can't ask a dead person obviously he is dead lol. And you can't ask a bunch of alive people they can't tell you since they didn't die yet to know. Pretty obvious shit. -
Yeah it's more of a thought. How does this relate to op? Idk yet ?

To the first question.. There can't be a statement made about an absolute something.. We can't speak the absolute.. We can't say this is absolutely the case or this is not absolutely the case.. As soon as we open our mouth.. We are In the relative domain. To the second question.. Non-existence is a quality.. It's not a realm or a place.. For example you see the sun it exists for you.. Once it disappeared.. It's nonexistent for you. So the sun we can say it exists or it doesn't exist. The absolute can't be said to exist or doesn't exist. Because these are relative and changeful. The absolute is beyond existence or non-existence.

Someone here replied to SpYITB's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SpYITB just a couple of points that might clear something up for ya.. You are trying to grasp a finite meaning of infinity.. How can that work? How can one "understand" infinity? The understanding is always finite.. How can your finite understanding hold the infinite? Your understanding itself is being held within the infinite. The problem is you are assuming this infinity is a hidden metaphysical object. Infinity is your direct experience itself and not hidden from you. -

Free will and Determinism are just concepts. They don't reflect a 1% of 1% of 1% of how reality actually works. -
@electroBeam interesting

I agree.

I would say they are experiencing something that is clearly different from how the majority of people act. But I wouldn't call them ill or sick. Because most so-called mental diseases are potentially there in how the human mind works. You can observe yourself hearing voices in your head.. Talking to yourself.. Having opposing views (multiple personalities) etc. Yet it's just mild. So imo.. The symptoms of mental illness are potentially there in every human.. It's just in their case (mental people) they reach a point where they are unable to control it anymore.. Whereas for the majority of people they are able to fake that they are a "person" with a linear personality. Acting can happen. Your body mind can act in a way that is in accordance to the conditioning that it received throughout your whole life. Or it can act in a different way that is not familiar with it. In both cases.. Whatever the body-mind does.. It's not "free".. At the center of this whole thing.. There isn't an agency who is doing.. Acting.. Who is ill or normal. The true Self is pure awareness. Pure being. Pure existence. This pure being is impersonal. It's not someone or something. It's unconditional because its not this or that. It's just there as a silent witness. The body and mind are conditioned. It can't act without a program. Therefore not free. You speak English because that's the language you've been programmed with. Change the programming into French language.. The body Wil start speaking French. And if the body didn't receive any linguistic programming.. The body won't talk any language!. But in both cases.. You as the awareness are not affected. Awareness. You become aware that "this is a dream" while you are dreaming..

@Gesundheit please let's stay on topic. If you have something of substance regarding the main topic go ahead. You are right tho. It's kinda paradoxical and twisted so let's not delve too deep into it.

That's your definition? But I have a different definition.. Which one is true? And who's to say? Ofcourse mine is the true And I get to say. -
No I don't deny experience if you mean this . It's just that the experience is not your experience. No the absolute is not measurable. To put it as it is.. The absolute doesn't exist. Because exist is a relative quality. And the absolute is not relative. And in all that..... I don't know what does that have to do with the topic lol ??
-
A relative perspective means it's true relatively. It's not true in the absolute or in every possible sense. For example what makes a person mentally ill? Is there an absolute 1 2 3 God-given rules written somewhere in the universe that decides who is what and what is not? The absolute perspective is that of a no perspective. As long as it is a perspective it's a POV.. It's relative.. Means in relation to something. Not universally or objectively true. I hope I clarified it for ya.

In experience there is no such thing as being mental or being normal. The whole distinction is a mental fabrication. You can act. But you don't have free will. Nothing special about the ability of acting that makes you have free will. There really isn't any you so what the fuck are we talking about? Yes the only thing that is not habitual is the true Self. As pure awareness. You are not conditioned as that. But the mistaken identity or the personality is itself just a bunch of habits. Change the habits. You are a new person! You tell me. In this thread I'm the student and you are the teacher. We can switch the roles later on ? Well when you are aware that you are dreaming while you are dreaming it's called a lucid dream. How does it happen? It just happens lol. Still not sure what does that have to do with the topic lol ?
