to cure OCD you have to first identify the OCD thought as an OCD thought. Write them down. Come up with a list of all your OCD thoughts. And then tell yourself whenever you get these thoughts you are not going to react to them. You will just let them arise and go like you are hearing some noises in the streets. Or clouds passing. You can't really control the cloud. You can either react or withhold. If you keep reacting you will get stuck deeper in the thought loops. The only fix is to not react to the OCD thought no matter how intense it is and often it arises. Also establish : Very Strong mediation Habit daily meditation and awareness of thoughts letting them come and go without reacting - The ability to let things go. This is going to require more emotional intelligence. Don't grasp into events and emotions. Practice being careless. - Great diet and exercise. - Ability to let things be as they are. Ability to accept the thoughts and not fight them. - Building in awareness into times where you are getting sucked into OCD related habits. For example awareness while washing hands. - Letting go of the thought that "I have OCD." You are creating and perpetuating the problem. Change that into I Had or I use to have. - Figure out how having OCD Benefits you. Write out the pros and cons of it and really think about it.

This negation itself implies that you understand the opposite (that something is happening). Otherwise what are you negating exactly if there is nothing to negate? It's not absolutely true. It's happening and not happening.

Yes. so you are presupposing a me that has learned false concepts about what the me is and what reality is... So it doesn't exist and yet "it" (which does not exist) has learned itself into being. I'm just asking you to appreciate the strange loopyness of this.

@James123 there is something not quite clear about your reasoning. And yes you appeal to reason and logic to convey your point. So you are using the exact same thing that you are trying to dismiss in dismissing it! What do you mean there is no universe just because I have learned the word? And how did I learn the word if there is no universe In the first place to learn from??? I know you have found your true identity but life is way deeper than that and you can still constantly evolve your life and understanding even tho there is no life or evolving or understanding.
-
@James123 I get where you are coming from Believe me lol. enlightenment is not a magical piece of information that is going to make everything snap into place and "oh I finally fucking get it". Because there is nothing to get because it's infinite. So you can keep exploring forever. Why have one final enlightenment when you can have infinite enlightenments?

@James123 It's kinda like of stage blue vs stage orange. If you ask each one of them how did the universe began or how does it work? Stage blue :oh it's all God by God for God. Stage orange :let's find out and explore this infinte universe. Which one is more holistic??

They might be fun or not for you. For me These kinds of inquiries are my favorite. Go ahead and screw around with them if you like. Because I'm challenging everything you believe you know.... 1. What keeps everything together? What makes the floor underneath stands? Why doesn't the universe just fly apart right now? Exactly what makes everything "work" so to speak? The rules of physics? What is grounding that? And what's grounding that?...... You get the idea 2.name something that you are absolutely certain of. Like 100 %certain of. Justify why are you certain of it. Do you notice that absolutely everything is uncertain? Such that uncertainty is the only thing you are certain of? For example what makes you certain that the next moment the TV will not suddenly show a different universe because God suddenly decided to flip the channel??????( 3.are you dreaming or awake right now? And how do you know? (oh a classical one but still you basically don't know the ontological statues of your experience). 4. What is the context of existence? This experience that's happening right now.... Where exactly is it happening? In a computer or in a universe or maybe in an alien's dream? What models (scientific or spiritual etc) do you have to explain this present moment? Do you realize all your models are bullshit because they themselves are the very same present moment that's completely unexplainable? 5. Is the earth flat or round? Whatever you believe it is. Have you actually seen the earth from above? No. Then why you are not agnostic about this? Why you believe it's round? I could come up with dozens of them. Basically the point is everything you think you know could be deconstructed completely. Then again what do you really know? Only the immediate direct experience. Edit : Here's another question. . How to ground any knowledge whatsoever that's not contacted with in the immediacy of the present moment? In other words anything that you are not seeing, hearing, touching, smelling or tasting right this moment... How is it possible to have a certain knowledge of such thing? (could be a memory.. An anticipation of the future.. Or a conceptual explanation of the experience itself) etc.

Yes it is a paradox. That's not the same as contradiction. Paradox is a feature not a bug. Is the statement "everything is uncertain" itself certain or not? It's uncertain which means the duality breaks down and it's neither certain nor uncertain anymore. It's just what you are left with in present moment. And that's what I'm ultimately trying to get at. It should be all encompassing. You can't escape what is. I'm just saying each moment there is no saying with absolute certainty what this infinite willl is about to manifest exactly. Examples in OP for clarification. Also quantum mechanics seems to suggest the same thing. Check out uncertainty principle. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncertainty_principle -

So that's pretty good mindfuck that everything is uncertain hope that's not too scary for ya ? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That's cute and all. You can postulate any metaphysical subtrautum that you "Love". The only correct answer is literally nothing is doing it yet its done. Ofcourse you weren't. You just Believe you were (are). And certainty is something more than just a thought (a belief). Bottom line you can't be certain about anything in the future by defintion because the future is a belief. Yup. Made ya question your reality ? You still imagine that "nowhere" is somewhere. LOL I'm not. Or am I? -

Yeah I think it's obvious what Karma is from a oneness view point. If you are the same being in every being. If you are beheading a chicken.. You are the human who's beheading the chicken and the chicken that's getting beheaded simultaneously. So instant karma. It's not a process in time and doesn't require reincarnation because it's hard for us to make sense of how time is illusory and our relative notion of how the universe works are not what's absolutely true. -

Why are you certain the universe came from a big bang? Did you personally do the science? No? Then how can you be 100 %certain? Ever seen any of these explanatory tools? There have no phenomenoloical existence (direct experience). They are just concept. There isn't a "bottom" my dude. It's literally infinite out there lol -

Yes my concept that everything is indeed "together" is not accurate. Which means it's not certain. So.. is everything together or apart objectively? Both ofcourse which means there isn't a certain answer! Exactly! So even within my question I assumed that the floor is indeed still... which is a claim of certainty for the conversation to be possible at all.. we have to assume a given. But is it a given tho? As you said it's not. It's also relative. Everything is so relative and uncertain such that I can't even formulate a question without making uncertain claims! Same point. I had to assume that it's not already falling apart and ask why it isn't?.... But ofcourse as you said it's already falling apart and not falling apart simultaneously depends on whether we are talking about the macro scale or micro scale and what measurement tools (speed) etc.... All that itself is relative and uncertain. Such that it's impossible to make a 100 % certain and accurate description. Nope! Say it in a different way lol I like this. Ofcourse. You could say why should I be 100 % certain and not only 4 %? After all even the 4 % is 100% relative to other factors of consideration.. Also you could ask are you 100 % certain that you are 100% certain...to infinity. It's not possible to measure the degree of certainty in a certain way! Exactly. It's already getting filpped constantly. In other words changing and not stable. Uncertain. Yup. Does that mean our location is certain or not? Think about it. Which is exactly my point. Any possible explanation for the present moment is itself the unexplainable present moment. So you have to explain the explanation for infinity. Which ends up meaning the present moment just is and we don't know any further. How so? How are you absolutely certain that I am a human being? Just because I look like a human being? I could be a ghost who's very good at shape shifting!! Exactly. The whole point of my thread! That's all uncertain. ? -

Brilliant answer from Rupert. Thanks for sharing ❤️? Exactly a belief is a thought. unexamined. These things are uncertain. You just really "believe" they are certain. Yes exactly. That's my point. Only isness is certain. The fact the isness IS. And nothing else is certain nor knowable. No that difference itself is uncertain. So you don't know if you're in dreaming state or waking state. And you don't even know if these two states are even different to begin with (that life itself is not one giant ass dream). Yes I mean direct experience. This right here right now. The question is where is here? What is the background of the universe? If it's only one piece of the puzzle.. Where is this piece fitting? Exactly. Which means it's undetermined or unknown. It's both and neither. Depends on a relative view point. Again uncertain! Let's call feelings direct experience. Knowledge is thoughts. The question is How can you trust the content of any thought if it's not describing a direct feeling? (for example I had some fish for dinner yesterday) -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Exactly. That makes these facts uncertain. Yup. Once again you are uncertain. Let's create a distinction between the waking world and the night time Dreams. Exactly how are you supposed to know which is which? Again. 100% mystery and unknown. In other words you don't know but you gotta believe something cuz blah? All perfect uncertain answers ? -

We are deeply ignorant that's just a fact. I mean you really have not a clue what existence is and what you're doing here. Yet almost 90% of people settle for mediocrity. They don't "like" or "want" to question their experience enough. Even tho they deep down know that they don't know. Is it because we are afraid to admit that we don't know? Maybe it's a function of survival? @electroBeam @Gesundheit would like to hear from you guys!

If you might engage me for a while.. All these first person experiences (colors.. Sounds.. Smells.. Etc) are NOT secondary to some underlying explanatory models that you imagine underneath them (photons light.. Frequency or math equation etc) these are just explanatory tools to help navigate the experience and create technology etc. But they are not the reality. The reality is the so called naked perception exactly as it is. And it's not other than exactly what it appears to be. -

@Nahm back at 'ya'. Have a happy 'ending'. That explains nothing. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It would be exactly what it is. Me explaining to myself what I explained to myself. I don't need courses in common sense. Totally possible. I just did. What's the "true" (right) answer is what matters. At least for me. Enough talking about balls my dude! If your balls are a concept that doesn't concern me too much. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm you wanna tell me that just by saying "there is no self" and your balls are a concept that you now explained the whole universe????? Who are "we" kidding? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@zeroISinfinity listening to masters lol no one here understands what awakening is expect Leo. If you like to settle for this mediocre no self nonsense go for it. By all means -

Why should identification with the "conditioned thinking mind" be "Bad" or "false"?... The "conditioned thinking mind" is YOU. You're never going to disidentify from anything because everything is you. That's what you're missing. -
So.. What will happen after the body dies ? Answer :It will slowly decompose.. until all that’s left is the bones. And eventually mud. That’s not what you want to ask though. What you want to ask is: what happens to your individual consciousness after death? Answer: it undergoes dilution. A similar question could be posed about a cup of water. What happens to this specific water if it is thrown back into a lake? A similar fate awaits your individual consciousness.

that's not complete awakening. only one facet of Awakening. You still have to go full circle and recognize that YOU ARE EVERYTHING.
