@Leo Gura I was wondering what your opinion on this ..to create a new subforum for off topic discussion and entertainment. Where we can discuss things like sport ,movies, music and other forms of entertainment. I feel like it's a good idea. Of course it is up to you in the end...but I feel like we are so serious in our discussions here that we need a place where we can just relax and chat about non serious stuff and entertainment.

As some of you might know..we are in Ramadan month now .the month in which Muslims abstain from food and water from the sunrise until the sunset. What are the benefits of this dry fasting?

It seems this question has no solution. Scientists say that since the Big Bang, the universe has been expanding. Okay I can buy that one. But then the question turns on inside of what? Another universe possibly? Or nothingness?
-
@Roy why do you think all religions prohibited sex outside of marriage? You don't wanna end up having sex with whoever the fuck you want,.you risk catching STDs
-
Yes .agreed. Sex is meant to be an act between two married people who love and care about each other. The sex that occurs in porn films is loveless and emotionless. It takes all the feelings that are normally associated with sex- caring, affection, tenderness- and turns them on their head. They are replaced by anger, selfishness, hate, fear, and disgust. By changing the emotions associated with sex, it changes how sex was designed by God. From these feelings of anger and hate, men are shown that it’s okay to treat women in a degrading way, which is untrue.

@something_else may I ask you did you have sex before?

@_Archangel_ @Federico del pueblo If you assume the universe is finite in size, something(matter) would have to be present to fill in the empty space surrounding the entire universe or else it would be just more empty space. Let me explain what I mean. A room is finite in size because when you get to a certain point that the walls, floor, and ceiling stop you. So if a universe is finite, it would have to have some equivalent to walls, to keep it the same size and finite and/or to constitute an end. If space ends at some point because nothing can go any further, like if we were inside of an incomprehensibley large hollow sphere and traveled to the end of space and found the end of the universe, something would still be on the other side of whatever the end of the was. Infinity is not a hard concept at all and is really the only possibility if you think a about it.. Infinite can't expand. It's like a child saying infinite plus one. Only now its college educated grown men now and all the logic in the world wont stop them from trying to make it make sense. The universe is definitely infinite, anyone can observe that by looking up at the night sky. We dont live inside of a cosmic domicile with limited space. So how can it be Infinite and expand at the same time ?
-
@Federico del pueblo I understand the expansion of the universe as actually an increase in the ratio of space to matter. Is this a correct understanding? Otherwise, I don't understand how an infinite structure can expand.

The problem is that porn is responsible for viewing sex as a mechanical process. Come on dude ..do you actually want to have sex like what you see in porn? Where the woman just rides your dick without seeing each others face ..? And with exaggerated noises and fake moans ?
-
So are you saying that The universe is everything, so it isn't expanding into anything. It's just expanding. All of the galaxies in the universe are moving away from each other, and every region of space is being stretched, but there's no center they're expanding from and no outer edge to expand into anything else?
-
@thisintegrated what is sex to you? How should it be done ? Robotic and mechanic like in most porn or filled with intimacy and hugs and kissing and touching each other?
-
I always thought sex would be a romantic , sacred expression of love between two people..but when I watched some homemade porn videos ( don't ask why ) and it was horryfing. All those weird noises , all those gross movements.I almost threw up.

No I'm not going back to it. No worries
-
Maybe I've just seen so much of it that I've lost interest. It could also be that it's just detached strangers doing things with no connection to me.
-
@Carl-Richard it might be infinite regress. Maybe that's a feature not a bug. The problem with my question is I'm imagining something from my own known experience – say an inflating balloon – and asking the seeming reasonable: “What’s outside the ballon?” from the vantage point of being outside the balloon and being able to see it’s a balloon. we know, and this is what we mean by the expansion of the universe, is that, on average, every galaxy is getting increasingly far away from every other galaxy, at an increasing rate, with no central point. This does not mean that, at any local level, space-time is “stretching” like a rubber sheet (a common misunderstanding), nor does it mean that at local scales stars and galaxies can’t still fly into each other. I might be mistaken. We are pretty primitive in our understanding of the universe.

Unfortunately I did. But no longer into that stuff .

@Federico del pueblo I think There is definitely intimacy based porn out there, but it's pretty rare . like u said there's a market for every kind of interest. It focuses on bonding , eye contact and kissing. I feel like the whole step sis genre is born out of that desire for intense closeness and intimacy and that's hugely popular, also live interactive cams of real couples is focused on this . But that's just one genre . While the vast majority of porn is just as I described: robotic sex
-
I don't actually have a "problem" with this type of porn that you described. I'm just wondering why most porn is fake boring garbage when it can be done in a more artistic and real-like filled with intimacy way? That's all . I guess that both men and women want intimate sex ..yet its very rare to find intimate sex pornos even though the content is endless and you can keep searching for the perfect video for hours and hours .
-
@something_else Last year I've been in the findom community, most men there actually just want connection with the girls, not sex. Ironically, the clients of this fetish are usually called "paypigs". I say ironically because they are calling them "piggish selfish men". Don't know where you are trying to get with that though. We all want connection but sometimes we all want to satisfy our urges too. isn't it obvious to you that 90% of porn just focuses on the penetration and almost no focus on the foreplay, eye contact, using hands etc which is what actually happens in real sex.
-
@puporing @lostingenosmaze it's so simple.. How sex is done in most of the content that you find online whether it's professional or amature is not how is it actually done in real life.. For example in real sex the majority of the focus between the two partners is actually on the face to face.. The upper body.. While of course the penetration could be going down there.. But in most pornos the major focus is on the penetration .sometimes the partners are completely ignoring each other intimately!! Why is that ?

@The0Self never done meth before. But I used to smoke weed during my teenage years . I didn't think I was addicted to weed, but I noticed that many times when I smoked, it was more out of habit than as a conscious choice. I was also suspicious it was the reason I constantly felt hazy, tired, and forgetful. The worst part was that I felt bored a lot. I was like a kid on summer break, all alone because everyone else was at camp or on a family vacation. When I did find activities to occupy my time, they were often work-related and not the chill relaxation that weed brought me. The best part was that I had so much energy. It took a week or so, but there was a noticeable uptick in the way I felt during the day. It wasn't hard to get out of bed in the morning, even in the winter. I was more productive during the day, both in chores and work. I still procrastinated sometimes but found it easier to break out of that cycle. I don't think it has anything to do with my delusional thoughts . My delusional thoughts were triggered by getting addicted to Leo's content. Lol funny enough. Leo's content is dangerous for mentally unstable people. That's why I stopped watching Leo's videos.im taking a break from the mind shattering content of Leo ? -

@zurew I see what you are saying about unquestionable assumptions (axioms). But that's like the foundation of all knowledge ,science, philosophy etc. We can't do away with axioms because then it becomes impossible to build any valid theory from scratch. Its very difficult to see your own delusions but very easy to see delusions in others. You have to adopt an attitude of wanting the truth and not giving a shit if it corresponds to the ideas you already have. I followed the following rules: Let the chips fall where they may. Be skeptical of everything you hear. Consider it to be quite possibly wrong unless it's proven right. People lie and exaggerate all day every day. Groups of people do also. If anyone tells you about something that's supernatural, they are most likely completely full of shit or totally misreading evidence. Have honest talks with smart people and ask their opinion on some ideas your curious about. Don't trust anyone's thoughts completely no matter how many times in the past they've been right. -

usually. The only reason I'm able to acknowledge my delusions is because of medication. Without medication, I would have a complete lack of insight. So I guess I can't really call them delusions, as they aren't a fixed belief, but rather they are unusual 50% beliefs. For example, I used to have a delusion about a government agency following me. That hasn't completely gone away, but I would say it has lessened about 60-70%. So while I still have paranoia about it, it isn't a solid, concrete belief. -
Yup.
