  1. What about hearing multiple voices in your head?
  2. @peanutspathtotruth never heard about it before. Gotta give it a Google.
  3. @inFlow the past and the future are imaginary. There is no beginning or end. The present moment is uncaused and absolute.
  4. 1.eat well. 2.go to the gym. 3.try erection pills.
  5. @Vision of course it does occur to most people to question their existence. But they learn how to ignore it and focus on other things. Maybe you are not.. But most people are so busy engaging in the survival rat race that they literally have no time for truth. Lol Human existence is a bunch of dogs fighting for a piece of meat. That's it. And the piece of meat is of higher priority than truth. For most people at least.
  6. Actually most people they care about survival. They don't care about the truth.
  7. I agree with this ? @Mu_ lol I'm little obsessed with free will. Pardon me
  8. Bold statement. I know. That's just how I am. But on a serious note... How does one become a philosopher? What books should I read and how should I conduct my life? I know that to some of you I'm being silly. But believe me when I say that I'm very serious with this whole thing. How can I become a renowned philosopher who gets recognized worldwide the same way people like Nietzsche and Socrates are recognized? Is formal education necessary? Or can I get by, by reading books?
  9. I don't think Nietzsche was popular until after he became mad, and died. And I believe Socrates was executed. Not how I would want to die.
  10. All that happens in dreams as well. (in nighttime dreams).
  11. Had a bad time yesterday with trying to deconstruct my memories.. Any kind of memories is an attempt to create continuity and consistance within you. Think about what happened 1h ago, 1 day ago, 1 month, 1 year etc. It feels as if it happened for mostly one reason, consistance with the present narrative of your experience. If you put the consistance on the side, your past memories are equal to those of your dreams, of the movies you watched, of a book you read, of something someone told you, of what you daydream about your future. Try to see that all those memories are one of the same, just with different stories and characters. It's one big story, not the story of the character who reads this. But stop trying to deconstruct your memories. You might reach a point of confusion where you can't remember what you did a minute ago. This will affect your ability to function. You will think you've gone insane. It's no longer an intellectual game. Stay away from these inquiries unless you are serious about awakening. A half assed awakening is equal to insanity. A Complete awakening is beyond sanity and insanity.
  12. @Tim R That's just how I am reporting it after the fact. But you start the inquiry from scratch. You don't assume anything. And then you investigate your memories... Then you reach that conclusion.
  13. Disproving them. Or proving that your entire past is imaginary. An entity behind the eyes somewhere.
  14. the rationale for why the human body dies is simply stated as the body reaching its end of life. You die when the body starts to break down, and its parts no longer function. When we hear that someone's died of natural causes, we tend to think of one of two things: old age or disease. These two things don't always go hand in hand. A young person can die of natural causes before reaching the end of their life span. And, on the other hand, an old person can die of things other than age-related complications.
  15. Obviously.. The Human 'Matrix' of understanding is very necessary for modern Humans to function in a Modern world. But Words are in fact just a part of an 'Identification software reality'?.. That has been 'developed' to make sense of the Modern Psychological/Physical Reality Humans exist in. Human Understanding of 'Everything' is based on Collective agreement of what words mean. If all Humans Disappeared. Everything else would still exist as it always has. But without Human words for Identification, Value and Meaning for the benefit of Humans. As things stand. Everything exists from the 'standpoint' of its own existence. For example: A Tree exists without knowing its a Tree. Its only a Tree because Humans collectively agree to identify it as a Tree. Same goes for just about everything Non human. It is the same for Humans too. Every word a Human Knows. Is the result of Human Collective agreement to the same knowing. So. To understand the Individual reality of all 'things' We need to remove the Human Identification/Meaning Label? We need the ability to temporarily remove the Human Identification and Meaning to understand something from the 'standpoint of its own Individual Existence
  16. You can call it "Dumb Will " if you like. It doesn't matter.
  17. Of course "the ego" has no free will because "the ego" itself is an illusion. God?! Not sure what you are talking about
  18. Free will is a total horseshit . If you pay attention to your experience you will notice that. I like this experiment.. Try to stop your thoughts and movements for just few seconds.. And notice how your body will carry on thinking and moving on its own. It can be a very scary experience. You have zero control over your body. I had a hard time with this realization few months ago. I thought Im losing my mind. .
  19. @Gabith In daily life, we have infinite possibilities to take any route any time. But we aren't actually going anywhere as it is always the formless here and now no matter which direction we take, so the term 'free will' collapses on itself. Nor our true Self ever does or becomes anything permanently or even intermittently(). It's like you can go any place in a boundless ocean, but all you are surrounded with all the time is water.
  20. When you remove the words.. It's not that everything will be the same.. It's that you see it for what it is. And of course it can't be Described with words. That's the whole point. It's beyond same vs different.
