Time moves at a different rate at your feet compared to your head. The rate of how many right now you experience is relative to the gravity field you currently exist in. Time and gravity are one and the same locked together by the gravitational constant. Travelling back in time is the dead end. Assuming you could exceed the mass of light speed and pass the event horizon. As of right now we have no physics to explain what happens there.

Still.. Time travel is not possible because there is only NOW. There is no time to begin with. If someone were to ask you what time it is, there will never be a time in your life, when you cannot say “it is now”. You may point to a mechanical device on the wall and give them some number, which is an agreed upon time and you will also be right. It is now, everywhere on the planet, regardless of what time zone you are in. If Planet X were to hit earth and destroy the planet, half the people would die in their sleep and the other half in the middle of the day, but all would die in the same present moment. How much time went by before you were born? You will have no memory of it of course, so you must rely on what someone tells you. Could be 13.7 billion years, if you believe in the Big Bang theory, could be shorter if you believe in creationism or it could be that you have always been here and this is just your current present

You know what you know. Leo knows what he knows. Donald trump knows what he knows. Sara Jay knows what she knows. Your cat knows what she knows etc etc Combine all the knowledge of all the beings and that is all knowledge. Now realize all beings are the same being which is you. So all knowledge is your knowledge.

Imo.. "conscious" implies intention and premeditated living.. Knowing exactly what you are doing and why are you doing it. And that doesn't match with your description here : This doesn't describe a conscious living but a random spontaneous living.

We are not distracting ourselves. This is a serious inquiry. But you are not contributing anything useful to add to the thread.

@Gesundheit2 Well.. Saying you don't have a reason to live but just going with the flow and then calling it conscious survival is a contradiction in my eyes. But whatever makes you happy lol

@Gesundheit2 so you are just living automatically and mechanically.. You don't know why are you alive...you have no idea why you are living is my point. So how can you call that "conscious" survival? What's "conscious" about it? It would be appropriate to call it blind survival.

Nope. That would be knowing reason for staying alive. But since In case you don't have reasons for living.. To Continue to live in this case would be blind attachment to life.

Because I can't stand the fact that I don't know the context of my existence. I don't know whether I'm dreaming or awake right now.. And this uncertainty feels creepy.

What if you have no reason to live? What would you do then?
