I want to take this conversation to a whole new level . I have a question..why is it Easy to be lazy and settle for mediocrity and indulging in bad habits than it is to build an awesome life for oneself ? Fundamentally, why is living an amazing life hard and living a lame life easy ? Have you guys noticed this yet ?

Yeag I gues that Being confused is a sign of change and i may need to let the journey unfold a little bit more before you make a decision. And Be at peace with that, and be at peace with the fact that i don’t have all the answers. Just accept the way things are and trust that inspiration will reach me when the time comes to make a decision.

Not necessarily religion. But what philosophy of life should I live by? (hedonism, stoicism,nihilism etc)

Should I start thinking about the positive side of confusion? Like it's potential benefits? We all get confused at times, but prolonged periods of confusion can cause us to feel that we are stuck in a never-ending, foggy web of uncertainty. Yes, while confusion can stir up a seamlessly never-ending cloud of fog that envelops everything around me , it is also a sign of great and powerful change. If i were always 100 percent certain about every decision i made or every fork in the road, how would i ever shift or grow ? When you are confused it can be easy to get stuck in a web of consistent, repetitive thoughts that appear to have no end and no beginning. Maybe To clear this,I need to start focusing on what I don’t feel confused about. Start focusing on what i know and what i feel sure about. @Ulax @Reciprocality should I take enough time alone to contemplate what I'm doing with my life before I actually do it ? The feeling i call confusion is a big to-do that’s created in my mind when I have all kinds of conflicting thoughts (for example, do it, don’t do it, take a chance, why fix what’s not broken?) and I'm seriously entertaining each of those as if they are helpful or important. I innocently treat those thoughts as if they are each deserving of consideration just because they happen to be there, forgetting that thoughts are just blips of energ,t hey don’t possess qualities like “deserving.” I nearly always know what i want to do but i have too much thinking about it all to just go with what you deep-down know. For example, I have a ton of thinking about leaving my parents house a few days. I mean a ton. My separation anxiety is unenlighted to epic proportions. I can very easily rattle off a dozen or more reasons to not travel without them, even for very short trips. If I were to make a decision based on my emotions or on the availability of solid “reasons,” I would surely never leave . I was right. As soon as I told them, They told me to stop being ridiculous .Even though it means I'd be alone . I can’t. I can. I can? Can I really? I couldn’t. I went on and on like that for the better part of an hour.

@gettoefl but I can't live day to day .I tried it before a it didn't work . If I live in the moment then I'm sure I'm going to indulge in bad habits. Habits that give you instant gratification and quick hit of dopamine but fuck you up in the long term. I sense that I need a well-thought plan for my life . Otherwise I will just make stupid decisions everyday and it's not gonna lead to good place in the far future. I need a sense of plan and direction in my life . My goals is to finish my philosophy degree and get a decent job and find a girl to marry. But i don't find within myself the enough discipline and foreseeing to do that. I'm stuck.

It seems this question has no solution. Scientists say that since the Big Bang, the universe has been expanding. Okay I can buy that one. But then the question turns on inside of what? Another universe possibly? Or nothingness?

Yes .agreed. Sex is meant to be an act between two married people who love and care about each other. The sex that occurs in porn films is loveless and emotionless. It takes all the feelings that are normally associated with sex- caring, affection, tenderness- and turns them on their head. They are replaced by anger, selfishness, hate, fear, and disgust. By changing the emotions associated with sex, it changes how sex was designed by God. @_Archangel_ @Federico del pueblo If you assume the universe is finite in size, something(matter) would have to be present to fill in the empty space surrounding the entire universe or else it would be just more empty space. Let me explain what I mean. A room is finite in size because when you get to a certain point that the walls, floor, and ceiling stop you. So if a universe is finite, it would have to have some equivalent to walls, to keep it the same size and finite and/or to constitute an end. If space ends at some point because nothing can go any further, like if we were inside of an incomprehensibley large hollow sphere and traveled to the end of space and found the end of the universe, something would still be on the other side of whatever the end of the was. Infinity is not a hard concept at all and is really the only possibility if you think a about it.. Infinite can't expand. It's like a child saying infinite plus one. Only now its college educated grown men now and all the logic in the world wont stop them from trying to make it make sense. The universe is definitely infinite, anyone can observe that by looking up at the night sky. We dont live inside of a cosmic domicile with limited space. So how can it be Infinite and expand at the same time ?

@Federico del pueblo I understand the expansion of the universe as actually an increase in the ratio of space to matter. Is this a correct understanding? Otherwise, I don't understand how an infinite structure can expand.

The problem is that porn is responsible for viewing sex as a mechanical process. Come on dude ..do you actually want to have sex like what you see in porn? Where the woman just rides your dick without seeing each others face ..? And with exaggerated noises and fake moans ?

So are you saying that The universe is everything, so it isn't expanding into anything. It's just expanding. All of the galaxies in the universe are moving away from each other, and every region of space is being stretched, but there's no center they're expanding from and no outer edge to expand into anything else?

I always thought sex would be a romantic , sacred expression of love between two people..but when I watched some homemade porn videos ( don't ask why ) and it was horryfing. All those weird noises , all those gross movements.I almost threw up.

The problem with my question is I'm imagining something from my own known experience – say an inflating balloon – and asking the seeming reasonable: “What’s outside the ballon?” from the vantage point of being outside the balloon and being able to see it’s a balloon. we know, and this is what we mean by the expansion of the universe, is that, on average, every galaxy is getting increasingly far away from every other galaxy, at an increasing rate, with no central point. This does not mean that, at any local level, space-time is “stretching” like a rubber sheet (a common misunderstanding), nor does it mean that at local scales stars and galaxies can’t still fly into each other. I might be mistaken. We are pretty primitive in our understanding of the universe.
