No such thing. Anyways ..Surrender resistance to your reality. Keep telling yourself nothing is fundamentally wrong and there are no wrong decisions. Living is about continuous learning, growing and becoming. Human suffering is nowhere near what it used to be. As tough as it maybe to accept, the truth is..misfortune, disasters and disease have always served to elevate humanity as a whole. We must keep expanding, and resistance is futile. Expect everything will work out in the end. You attract what you expect, it’s a universal truth. With that also remember there is always an unseen all-knowing consciousness at work. Patience is required. -

Then why can't you do it (if you have the capacity)? What's preventing that ? -
Someone here replied to Gabith's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You can't. You are a human. Life has ups and downs . Sometimes it just plain sucks .and there is nothing you can do about it . -

@OBEler did you actually read my posts on this thread ? I'm arguing AGAINST solipsism. Not sure I understand your commemt. -

Solipsism begins and ends with the assumption that your senses are faulty (purposefully or not) and do not provide information to your brain that approximates existence. The only piece of data that you can “observe” that is 100% verifiable and absolute is your own thought. Everything else has some measure of doubt or mere probability (and perhaps even your thought does as well). But we have learned from quantum physics that reality itself is probabilistic, not absolute. Solipsism is a possible configuration of the universe, just as is the possibility that you’re in a computer simulation, or that unicorns exist, or that you can walk through walls. But based on the all of your (possibly faulty) observations over your entire lifetime and the collective shared knowledge of our society the probability is exceedingly small. Solipsism suggests that knowledge that is not 100% absolute is worthless, but then offers no explanation as to why you even have senses, much less explaining all of your hallucinations. It’s a model that very poorly fits the (admittedly incomplete) data -

You are limiting yourself to a great degree . You are simply imposing the dichotomy of either solipsism or an objective reality. Not realizing that both can be true at the same time . . To me it's If I were the only consciousness in the universe why am I not in full control? In my (lucid) dreams I can fly and throw fire balls at bad guys. Why can't I do that in real life? If the entire universe exists only in my imagination how is that there are people who know things I don't? As far as I can see answering these questions in a manner consistent with solipsism makes conspiracy theories seem logical. If your method leads you to solipsism you need new methods. -

Solipsism is a reality check: there is, it suggests, at least a possibility that objective reality is just a highly structured delusion, the sort of thing that you would expect if we don’t really exist and our consciousness is all just a computer simulation. I will use the simulation theory here as an argument of solipsism. the complexity and consistency of what we perceive as outside of us is such that you have to counter speculate that solipsistic computer simulation is just one of an infinity of speculative possibilities. If you are a solipsist, you have no way to assign a probability to each possibility of what reality might really be. As a result, you can only assign equal probability to each case and this is vanishingly small for any one case such as the solipsistic simulation. Ie, reality is overwhelmingly likely to NOT be a solipsistic simulation. In which case other people do exist just as we perceive them and we are, at the very least, able to share communicable experiences with them. The sum of these communicable experiences is an approximation of objective reality. In other words, with just an infinitesimal shift from solipsism, objective reality bounces back into existence. Therefore, my take is that you should ignore solipsism as an anomaly, although you can never be entirely sure. Your comfort should reside in the fact that if solipsism is true then there is no point in doing anything, so you might as well assume that isn’t true. -

Solipsism is a relatively well-defined term; it refers to the belief that the believer (the self) is the only entity with some important property, like existence, or knowable existence, or subjective experience, or something like that. For instance “because the Problem of Other Minds isn’t solvable, the only mind I can know exists is my own”, or more radically “the only mind that exists is my own”. Enlightenment, though, is a much more complex concept (or non-concept). we won’t even delve into the million meanings of the word, but even Buddhist enlightenment is not easily pinned down. In general, enlightenment does not lead to solipsism: that is, being “enlightened” does not lead one to conclude “I am the only entity that exists”. If anything, enlightenment leads to a … different perspective on the idea that one exists (at least as an independent self-originating entity) at all. I made a post a few months back about my awakening to solipsism .but judging by what I understand now it's false . Other people can be simultaneously fragments of your imagination and real people at the same time . It just takes a radical shift of perspective to realize this. -

@Vladimir how did this awakening happen ? Also ,what changes have taken place within you ,that you could say it changed you in a positive way? And oh congratulations ? -

Solipsism is the realization that there are no "others " it actually increases my social anxiety. Because these imaginary others are like alien simulation stuff doing a conspiracy against me . -
The modern schools of Neo-Advaita and teachers like Jim Newman and Tony Paraons and Anna Brown etc have taken the seductive and popular vision of”“you are not the body”, “you are already enlightened and there is nothing to do” ,"there is no you " and have made this information available as a conceptual teaching. This conceptual teaching is like a religion or thought system which has value but very very limted imo. A pitfall with Neo-Advaita is that meditation is either ignored or seen as unnecessary and perhaps even avoided. “How could there be a person who would meditate?”, “why should I meditate when I’m already enlightened?”, “If I am not the doer how could I meditate?”. This has nothing to do with actual awakening. So be aware of these so called neo advaita "non-teachers " out there like those that I mentioned above because It's very trendy these days in nondual content that you find in YouTube and elsewhere.

Socrates famously said that the only thing we can know is that we know nothing. Can we truly know anything? Do we really know nothing? If we do know something, how can we be sure that we aren't mistaken? To me it seems pretty obvious that we do know some things, but that the problem lies in how we know that we know them. I mean, no matter what we can pretty much question how reliable any source of information is. For example. I KNOW that I'm posting something on a forum right now. How do I know? I'm seeing it happen before my eyes. But how do I know that my firsthand account of this is a reliable source? Sadly I don't. I just sort of have to...trust it I guess. Dunno. So I ask ..Can we know anything? I'm sure we can, I am also sure that we may never know for sure what we know accuratley or not. I think Knowledge is in fact some form of JTB (justified True Belief) but I don't think we can ever know for sure if our so-called justification is accurate. That is to say I think we can think we are justified in our belief but we will never be able to confirm is it is true only that it is probable at best. In summation...I think we can have knowledge but i do not think we can know that we for which of our beliefs are knowledge and which are not.

@Leo Gura I think you are the most awakened teacher I have ever encountered. I've listened and watched hours upon hours of content from you (I didn't miss a single video since late 2018) and I listened to other teachers as well like Mooji ,Rupert Spira, Osho, etc .I can tell you know what you are talking about. But sometimes I feel that The things you say are not delivered quite well to the watchers/listeners. Why so?! Because, we, human beings are not only about listening and seeing. We need to be engorged in the subject in order to fully understand it. To absorb a topic is not easy. Your videos lack some spices, like photos, designs, scenes .anything to capture the person's attention. Instead of Just your face talking .tbh it gets me sometimes bored . Why not add short videos or more pictures to your videos? Also another note Is..We have an average concentration span of about 3 minutes. Some say 5 minutes. These giant ass episodes consisting of 2-3 hours are really difficult to watch at once .I know That's why you started the clips' channel. But why don't you try to lessen the duration of your videos to be in the range of 1-1.5 hours ? I hope your channel's audienc grows, and that you add some flavour to your videos. Much love ❤

I'm actually quite new to this slang . I've been hearing it a lot recently In Discord servers. Discords that are tagged for dating. There is also this other slang "soy boy ". I think the dating scene online is so fucked up and filled with toxic concepts that puts a lot of guys down . Because a huge part of your appearance Is based on genetics. So What exactly is meant with this whole "Chad " nonsense? To have a muscular body ..a long ass trimmed beard and "bad boy " vibe to you?

I'm not full of shit . Why do you think that you are full of shit ? And what does that even mean ? One very simple but profound reason: the inability to recognize shit in oneself. This, however, does not preclude the ability to recognize it in others, hence, the question. In the same sense, you recognize everyone’s shit; except your own; they do so themselves..thus, the shitstorm we have today -
I've reached a breaking point when it comes to my love life, or lack thereof. This past week, I went on a date. The first date I've had in years . Second date in my life. Even getting this date was an amazing achievement for me, most of the time girls just ignore me after a few messages. Trying to sell myself in text form is next to impossible, and I seem really boring unless I'm in person. But this time we had a whole bunch in common . So it actually worked, and I was so excited. I actually had high hopes for myself for this date, which I rarely do. It actually seemed doable. I did everything i could to make sure it went well. I dressed well, tidied myself up, and made sure I had a lot to say. When i was there, conversation was easy. I made her laugh a lot, we connected on a bunch of topics, I thought I was interesting, and i wasn't a "nice guy" who simped for her. I was me. I tried to be myself, which I thought was the main thing you had to do. She gave no signs she wasn't interested, and I asked if she wanted to meet next week, and she said yes. I thought I'd gotten past the hardest part. I'm usually so nervous when I meet people, but the more I meet them the safer I feel to get out of my shell. The more I met her, the more she'd get to know me, and see I could be a good match. But the very next day she sends me a big text bluntly saying she doesn't like me that way, and that she doesn't want to meet me again, even as a friend. It took ages to get her, and I can safely say it'll be months before I can get another. I live in a small town, and there's not much to choose from. I'm in my late 20's now, and I'm well past the point of it being normal to have no relationship experience. It's easy for me to make friends, even with women. But I clearly have zero charisma beyond that, and no girl has seen me in a sexual way at all. And that seems to be all I can offer. I'm genuinely terrified to escalate with a girl, I assume they find me creepy and pushy if I even think of touching her. I feel like a predator, and I just get the vibe I should leave them alone. I absolutely don't know what to do anymore. I've tried looking after myself, because I thought self-improvement would lead to self-confidence, which would mean the girls would come to me, rather than vice versa. For years i've tried. And I'm much better now than I was when I started. But it hasn't worked. I'm not an ugly person by any means, I actually think I'm quite attractive. But I've no idea how to get beyond that initial connection to anything substantial. Talking to them seems not to work. Showing my talents and passions doesn't either. Being me hasn't gotten me anywhere. This has gone on for years now, and I've lost hope. I've tried to be resilient, learn from my failures and keep going, but I seem to be in the exact same place. What can I do? I have so much love to give, and I really feel I'll be alone forever.

Why ? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Most humans of course. I think that we are biological machines, yes. How much of our behaviour is free will, and how much is subject to hormones, instinct, conditioning and brain chemistry (otherwise known as "programming") is a question I ask myself a lot. I suspect that a lot of the decisions and choices that I make are influenced by those things. Well that is literally what philosophy is . You sit down and use your intellectual facilities ALONE to arrive at conclusions. Unlike physical science (biology, chemistry, physics etc ) when you Have to empirically test things out . -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nilsi Its because I love philosophy I like to speculate and philosophize . You love something when that something gives meaning to your life. And if I may say so philosophy is the most meaningful activity of life. Without philosophy who are we? We get a job to survive in the world, have kids, make money that we would never really get to use and the same routine in and out of office goes on for years until we grow weak and our infirmity prevents further activity. That is when we stop and start thinking what was the meaning of all this. Only when we realize we are mortal and things may end soon for us that we begin to take stock of life to see how our life has been. The problem is all our life we have done something for the sake of gaining something else. But we have not done anything for the sake of itself. When we turn back we realize that our most happiest period has been our childhood where we have no achievements to show for yet we were happy. Philosophy is meaningful because it breaks us from a mechanical pattern .. it allows you to be more than just a machine. -

Poetic and lovey-dovey but doesn't make much sense to me in current state of consciousness . Wut? Something about this statement's grammar is a bit confusing. Not sure what are you saying here . I didn't say there is no self. I said according to the solipsism worldview there is only you and you are hallucinating the entire universe around you . This leaves no room for any "others " but YOU. And what's worse is that it's completely unfalsifiable . It is ego that feels such fear. Ego does not comprehend the effulgence of your expanded consciousness. It can see nothing beyond itself. I cannot stop clinging. The letting go must come effortlessly and not forced . And I'm not ready to handle such truths at this point in my life . -

No .it really does spoil the whole thing for you. Imagine looking into your mother's eyes and recognizing that there is no one behind her eyes . it’s a theory that, if true, precludes the abstract ability to do anything. If you accept Solipsism, you no longer have any reason to do anything. Even self-interest doesn’t apply anymore. there is no longer anything out there to benefit you. Just sit there and think happy thoughts forever. You can’t die. There’s nothing to kill you, not even your body. You’re just a dream in the dark. And what does a dream in the dark do but lie there and think? As much as that’s arguable ..t’s perhaps best to ignore it and go to those theories that allow for any degree of thought or action in any capacity whatsoever. -

Think about your dreams at night...all other persons are just figments of your imagination. You dream them all up . Once you wake up from the dream they all disappear. if the same dynamic is true with "real life "..then literally what's the point of social interactions with people if they are just figments of your mind and have no inner qualitative experience of their own ? Really sit down and contemplate the implications and consequences of solipsism. This is scary shit . -

The day I discover that I'm all alone ..I will definitely quit the forum. Quit society. Either go live by myself in a cave blessing out on nothing. Or I'm gonna suicide myself. There is no point talking to "others " if you truly believe there are no others.
