There is no best antidepressant. It depends on you and what works for you. No research studies have shown that any class of antidepressants works better than other. Here is my list of what I've tried and they all worked so (SSRI’s): fluoxetine (Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), escitalopram (Lexapro), citalopram (Celexa), paroxetine (Paxil) and fluvoxamine (Luvox). I'm making excuses because i haven’t decided to quit smoking, I've decided to try to quit smoking. the “try” is actually a backdoor through which my excuses come. As Yoda says “do or don’t do there is no try”. So here’s what i think I should do: make a decision to actually quit smoking, and COMMIT to it. So basically, quit or quit quitting. What do you think or hope such groups will provide? What can someone say if you’ve quit but then restart poisoning yourself with tobacco smoke? “Hang in there, you can do it, stay strong, good luck!” One has to be careful that these groups do not become a forum for smokers to support each other in their failure to quit. I do believe it's a good idea in theory .but in practice the social pressure will make me go mad and ache for a cigarette. I think I must be positive in wanting to quit but accepting also that once the cravings have mostly subsided after day 5, the urge will still prevail and will for months afterwards. Urge and cravings are not the same but can feel similar if i allow the urge to control me . I always fail at the 2 weeks mark. Because I don't know what to do without a cigarette in my mouth .I do everything while smoking. If I'm taking a walk ,I smoked. If I study, I smoke .etc Skeptical about this whole LOC notion. Good tips right there. Thanks. I will buy it soon. I haven't found a pdf online version. I tried vaping but I didn’t like how weak it tastes . I crave for big hits of nicotine smell that comes from regular cigarettes. Because its ruining my heath ,obviously.

So I discovered that the best way to have an orgasm (for men) is by rubbing the area where the green area meets the blue area

we only control our sexual desires because the timing is not right all the time. the difference between us and animals is self control. animals engage in sex for reproduction purpose only and so when the time comes ( say when they are on heat), they cant be stopped. They chose do it with just any female specie type around without consideration. humans do sex for procreation as well as pleasure. In most cases of sexual engagement, among humans, its for pleasure so we are able to control it till the time is right with the desired person

Thanks for the advice. I guess I will start a journal about quitting smoking and describe daily the difficulties I'm going through. And well, its a chemical addiction because nicotine/tobacco is one of the most addictive substances out there. Its a physiological dependency. Cigarettes are highly addictive. nicotine itself isn't the worst : it's true. Its mixed with escapism. it's the habits associated with smoking. Most smokers have made cigarettes parts of their daily routines : breaks, relaxation, coffee, parties etc. Nicotine was not what made me get back to smoking but the muscle memory associated with smoking and the (relative) pleasure you get when you finally lit one. Basically I feel like a junkie. I'm.lazy because my life is empty of anything exciting. And that's why I have free time to smoke and to spend time on this forum mentally masturbating about all kinds of shit . It's the lifestyle that needs change. I guess I will have to install healthy habits and daily routine to replace the urge for cigarettes. Maybe if I take care of my health and start eating healthy and workout..then I will be forced to ditch cigarettes . Well to my mind one thing leads to another. This hedonistic lifestyle of earing sugary and greasy food and watching porn is all in the same category of smoking. It's basically getting a quick fix and the price is your long term welk being and health. I'm also addicted to porn btw .but its not the biggest worry I have. I can manage it in moderation .but it's those mofos(the ciggies) which are the biggest deal.

Thank you guys for the advice. I appreciate it . @Tristan12 yes I thought a lot about replacing smoking with healthier activities that are also addictive and cause dopamine spikes . But I realized that this whole lifestyle is what's making me smoke in the first place . Namely, the lifestyle of chasing short term pleasures that feel good at the moment but fucks you up in the long term . So if I binged video games or porn or junk food I would say fuck it ..might as well smoke a cigarette. You know what I mean ? @Asayake yes I definitely use smoking as a stress relief. My life is extremely stressful. I suffer everyday. Wether I go to college and having to deal with my stupid professor or not . Although I don't particularly remember that I was traumatised as a child . I grew up without a father .my mom raised me .and I had a pretty normal and healthy childhood. But your point about suppressing emotions like anger is spot on . That's how I feel whenever I blow the smoke .it feels like I'm crushing the entire world with each hit of tobacco. I will look Gabor Maté in youtube. Thanks for your advice . @Ulax Yeah journaling maybe helps .do you suggest I open a journal on The journal section and express my experience with how I'm battling the addiction? Also I'm familiar with David Hawkins" techniques. I will try to apply it .the problem is I'm lazy and don't do enough reading and research on what might benefit me .if I replaced all thr time I spent smoking into researching positive skills I would be far more better. I was a pack a day smoker for years. And I “quit” more times than I can remember. Every time I tried to quit and failed, I learned something about how to quit. I learned that the personal will to quit isnt enough. Its a chemical addiction. I learned that the “nic-fits” last 3 days, so after you pass the third day, things get much easier. I learned that just about 2 weeks after you quit, a second round of mind games start to hit your brain pressing thoughts like “I can just have one…” which lead to failure These lessons absolutely helped me quit successfully the last time I tried. Which is the last two weeks .but I relapsed today very badly. Following experience I'd had with nearly successful attempts to quit in the past, I allowed myself one last cigarette after lunch..and soon enough I'm back to binging and smoking half a pack a day . I didn't stop with the commitment. I knew better. I'd been through it before.

I don't know if anyone familiar with my posts/threads , if sometimes i make vocabulary or grammar mistakes..I'm not a native speaker since I'm an Indian. But what's interesting is that I learned English in such a way that I would call "Automatically ". I didn't take any courses. Didn't read any text books for learning English etc. I just learned it by myself effortlessly through trial and error . For example I'm writing right now this post and I have no idea how the hell I'm writing it . The words just seem to get downloaded into my mind l. I'm even better in English than I am in Indian. What's the explanation for that? Well one possibility occurred to me is that I imagined the English language because I needed it to understand Leo's videos and to awaken . Leo is of course a figment of my imagination just like all of you guys are . I imagined it all. Everything. Students of English in today’s world, are …really getting taken to the cleaners.. In the end, it is not the “speaking” in English which serves for a proper goal. The goal you should aim for is to be able to “think” in English and “feel” in English.

I am not completely qualified to answer this because I have never been diagnosed with a terminal disease but I think I can share something that might be relevant. Also, this is purely personal and so may not generalize. There is this thing called passive suicidality, where you don't actually plan a suicide attempt but have thoughts along the lines of, “It's be so great if I that truck over there would hit me.” For me, every time I have something wrong with me and need to go to see the doctor, I sincerely hope that it's something fatal. If I have a stomach ache, I really hope that it's a cancer or that both of my kidneys have stopped working. If I have a headache, I really hope it's a brain tumor. When the results come in, I get really disappointed when it's something minor. So, if I get diagnosed with a terminal illness, I would be incredibly happy. Except I would really want to die without much suffering. So, in fact, it would make me more likely to do something about it since now it will be somewhat easier for my loved ones to deal with my death. -

Who said God "should " be fair and just ? Maybe God is the biggest asshole you ever imagined and he punishes those who commit suicide with eternal suffering? I mean how would you know? You see,you gotta admit that you don't actually know crap about God,death, and the after life . Here's some reasons to NOT commit suicide: 1-One day, you will die anyway. What's the hurry, stay awhile. 2-Death is uncertain. You dont know whats on the other side. 3-life keeps changing. It is full of possiblities. 4- If you are a virgin : how can you end it , without even having sex. -

Do you meditate daily? -

Because death is unknown to us . Even if you are in a great suffering..how would you know that what comes after death isn't even worse than your current life ? -

Good to hear . Do you think it deserves a YouTube episode ? Or just a quickie on the blog would be sufficient? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yeah me too . I benefited a lot from YouTube Videos. I would watch Leo's videos ad turn on the Captions and connect the sound of the words with how it's spelled. And in less than two years I progressed from a complete dishwasher in English to a fluent speaker ? Also While there are many tips and tricks you can find about writing effectively, however, there is only one way to develop your skill which is Writing daily and being persistent on it. Find your “Why?” and every day write and read, no matter how tough you feel because once you develop this crucial skill, you’ll feel proud for not giving up on your dream. And you will master english like you master your tongue language.. -

Good to hear. As far as my English proficiency is concerned, I’m on may to advanced. I’m pretty sure I can overcome middle level trap which is common to foreign language learners. To begin with, I must be excellent in into four parts: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. -

@Leo Gura can you describe this experience visually? Like what did you particularly see ? Because I can't make sense of pure insanity without imagining my visul field melting away into some salvia fluid trip. -

you suffer from simply having a strong sense of intellectual curiosity, which is certainly not a bad thing. Considering the anxiously self-conscious tone of your recent posts on the forum..I will assume you are fairly extremely serious about this work .which can be a double edged sword. You are not strange. You are not wrong. You are just curious. And that curiosity throws you for loops when you start to think about big questions. You are concerned that there is something wrong with this. Most people lose this curious spirit in adolescence. They fear ,unlike you ,that their curiosity is a sort of pathology, or they feel they are imposing on those whom they ask question to. They learn to be ashamed of their curiosity, so they learn to repress it. So by the time they are twenty they are much more ‘chilled’ and don’t think particularly inquisitively any longer. What a tragedy. I don't know .I wish you all the best if that insanity thing bothered you .and if it was a positive experience. Then congratulations -
You can’t really change your sexuality. No one can. If you’re straight, you’re straight; if you’re gay, you’re gay; if you’re bi, you’re bi. It’s not practical and frankly not healthy to force yourself to be attracted to certain people just because you want to.

Why? What the hell is the relationship between understanding consciousness and insanity? Be well brother ?. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You have to train yourself to think in English. You probably speak in English but you think with your original language. If you managed to think in English you would be a fluent speaker. -

Lol are you like me ? Just learned it somehow magically without any effort and surprised at your skill in English without any previous "training "? Where are you from? BTW congrats for the Mod upgrade ? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Oh really ? I thought you were from US or UK since you are excellent in English. Is it very easy to write in English for you ? How do you write sentences that are both clear and grammatically correct? How can you write good prose? How can you write like native speakers so that the people here love and appreciate your posts ? I often asked these questions while I was started to learn to write effectively at the beginning of my journey as a content writer. I am not saying that my writings are as good as native speakers. But as a non-native speaker, I think my writing skill has improved a lot by applying strategies that I am NOT going share with you. No .which one ? Can you link to it ? -

Aren't you a native speaker? Where are you from ? -
Many things about sex are exciting precisely because they are forbidden or considered unusual. The human sex drive is rather odd and much more complicated than that of most other animals (bonobos might be an exception), in part because of our complex social structure. So your fantasies are not unusual and not harmful unless you act on them in ways that cause trouble for you.

Most of the third world countries were ruled by some of the ancient empires . Although, as I personally believe, these countries were simply robbed by those powerful countries, there are some valuable aspects that they gained from the empires as well. One such thing is the systemized voting system. But when they gave the right to vote for the locals of these third-world countries, they gave it only to the people of high social status. Later only the right to vote was given to every citizen of these countries, actually by the local rulers and not by the foreign rulers. The empires may have had different reasons for their actions. But when thinking about how people vote in elections nowadays in these countries, many people just vote without any political literacy. And the politicians simply cheat the poor, less educated, less privileged people and rob their votes. IMO, this would not have happened if people were filtered when giving the right to vote. What do you think?

Its part of human reproduction strategy to have as much sex as possible with attractive partners themselves but to discourage others from doing the same. → So you will reproduce more successfully than others. We are all competing for having sex with highly attractive people, that’s why this bigoted double morale has developed: Publicly condemning sex (of others) whilst (in private) having lots of sex (with highly attractive people) yourself.

According to many people having sex with anyone other than their life partner is seen in a negative way because of the way we perceive the world and the way we perceive is because of the way our society has been born and bought up. This thinking is the by product of our society and the situations it had to face to achieve what it is today. This society also prevents havoc and chaos that would be caused without its presence as there will be many people who will not be able to understand the true nature of many things around them(because of their temporary limitations and the current state of their being they are at that moment), which may affect their lives and the people around them in a negative way. (By stating all this i am not saying in any way that the current state of our society is perfect, it’s far from that and we all need to awake ourselves up from the deep sleep we all have been, to live a life worth living and upto our true potential)
