I'm talking about the nature of existence and the big existential questions. Like what is reality ?why are we here ?what happens when we die ?etc and im asking why there seems to be no agreement among religions or philosophers since the dawn of time .everyone is making shit up that's different from everyone else .and each one claims to be to the only source of truth and nobody else . -

I know infinity exists. It just means that something has no end. We can estimate the number of miles to the sun or Jupiter or another solar system. But, we can’t estimate the number of miles to the end of the universe because there is no end. That is one example of infinity. Numbers reach to infinity. No matter what number you think of, I can add 1 to that number. You can then add one more. And I can add one more. We never reach the end of numbers. It is, understandably, a bit confusing, hard to wrap your mind around. Even mind boggling. -

@NoSelfSelf Everyone has to discover their own truth? -

Is it infinity or simply direct experience? Can the two be synonymous? Not suggesting that they are not the same thing . But just curious how would you classify the conceptual notin of infinity when it's not directly experienced with our ordinary everyday experience? -

Like I said ..every religion claims to be the ONLY source of truth and how should we conduct our life. If the facts don’t matter, you can believe anything: that your neighbor should be burned as a witch, that the Third Reich operates with divine warrant, that Allah wants you to fly a passenger jet into the side of the World Trade Center, that Donald Trump is a humble public servant with the best interests of the American people and democracy in mind… literally fucking anything, no matter how incongruent it is with reality. That’s not my subjective personal opinion, that’s just objectively bad. When you rely on logic and evidence, your beliefs are more likely to be true. When you don’t rely on logic and evidence, your beliefs are less likely to be true. When you’re actively opposed to logic and evidence, your beliefs are far less likely to be true. I “disagree” with religion because it’s a fundamentally wrong paradigm. -

I don't know what? Truth? -

Im might not be able to use various philosophical jargon to put forward my perception, but in simple words, the truth might rule our imagination too. Truth is inevitably something which can't be changed. We don't have the power to edit it according to our liking, but accept it. Imagination is something we hold power over. We can conceptualize things the way we want, according to our liking. At times, we choose to picture things in a way we wish was possible in reality. In other words, we often imagine things we wish were true. -

What makes truth subjective? If you show the color red to two different people from different countries, religions, ethnicity etc...aren't they gonna agree that red is red ? So how can you say that red =red is a subjective truth? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How do you know there is no one true way to approach life? Just because there is a lot of religions..that fact in itself is not enough to conclude that all religions are false. Do you agree? I would say yes ..the only certain truth is that the stuff we experience as reality in everyday life is the only unchanging truth. And the rest is speculative philosophical jargon trying to uncover the mystery of existence . -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Agreeing. But I'm asking why there are different perspectives in the first place. If you take a 2 years old child and show him the thousands of worldviews in the world ..he is gonna reject them all and want nothing to do with them . But as he grows up ..he starts getting brainwashed by society to adopt a set of beliefs that explains reality away . Why there is no "immune system for ideas " just like the immune system in the body ...? -

Yes .I always wake up when I die in a dream . I can know that for certain because its my direct experience. You are dreaming forever. You will wake up from one dream to enter the next dream. There is no ending to waking up. Its dreams all the way down Yes death is a belief. But because ultimately you won't die .you will just change your form .the process of reincarnation. Each new Incarnation follows a death . Enlighten me . -

When I go back and read my first posts on this forum I can't help but cringe at what I used to say and my worldview at the time . But thank goodness, for the two years I've been on this forum I consider myself improved and matured intellectually. And that is by doing three things . And those are my advice to anyone who wants to improve intellectually : Number one , I would suggest you to start reading, as much as you can. Read books, fiction, biographies, anything and everything, Soon you will be on the right stuff. Start with topics that interest you, it is easier. Very Important : Read philosophy. it will be invaluable, you will know yourself, have control over yourself. You don't have to agree with the philosopher you are reading, in fact it is very important to have your own view while you are reading. JUST START READING. I read Kant ,Schopenhauer, Descartes etc and Im writing a book at the moment outlining my critique to their work .(I hope I can finish it soon and sell it on Amazon, but I will definitely share it for free on this forum for everyone). The second thing is ..Explore things, ask questions, seek answers. Question absolutely everything. And I mean everything. Question life and death .Question the existence of the universe. How do you know anything is real ,etc become a cosmic skeptic that you don't take even breathing for granted. When you do that ..you will actually increase your IQ and it will show in your writing . Third thing .is to write .on paper or in the journal section or just by posting frequently on the forums .and you will notice radical improvements in your intellectual capacities.

For years I was caught up in coomer mentality . I fapped to porn probably hundreds of times since I was 14 until this day when I'm 26. My reasoning was very simple..."I'm not ever gonna fuck girls that are so hot like these pornstars ,so why approach women and get rejected ? When I can just open some porn and goon to it ". And this seems like a reasonable line of reasoning when you are a coomer .however..this was proven to me to be absolutely false . You ARE worthy of real women .you CAN have sex with real hot women like those pornstars. YOU (yes you) can have sex with hot women like this girl in the bottom of the post ? I don't care who you are or how atractive or rather unattractive you are ..or skinny..or fat or without enough facial hair or with a micro penis etc. All these are bullshit excuses that keeps you in your comfort zone . I will tell you what it takes to bang hot girls ..but you must follow through .. First and hardest step is actually meet at least one girl somewhere where you can talk about some common interests, and the rest is not that hard. since we all spend our free time at home it is pretty hard to meet anyone. 1-So ,first step is get the fuck out of your house. Go to a mall or a nightclub or any place in your country that you know there's a bunch of girls hanging out here. Move your ass to there. But before that, i would highly recommend that you work on yourself! What do I mean by this? Well, girls and women alike are attracted to young and older men when they are working on themselves to become a better person, and provider. They love it when you learn something new that you can share with them .they love it when you are busy and developing your mind and body/ they love it the most when you are confident 2-Confidence makes the females come to you. If you are not confident, just fake it until you are! Find out what it is about yourself that you want to improve so that you are more confident . 3-The best way yet to approach a girl is just to be natural and approach normally. Go over to her and say: "Hi, I'm _______ and i want to meet you because you look like an interesting person." It doesn't matter where you are at the moment because this kind of approach works everywhere. Approaching like this will make her instantly attracted to you because you had the courage to walk over to her with nothing but a simple conversation, which also makes you look confident about yourself. It shows her that you don't need some cheap pick up lines or something 'catchy' in order to talk to her. It also shows her that you are decisive and that you know what you want and also that you try to get what you want. In this case, getting to know her. Anyway I know that approaching like this is kinda hard if you haven't done that before. But trust me it works every time. If you approach like this the girl will have no reason to reject you because all you ask from her is to meet her. You didn't asked her out yet, or you didn't asked her to have sex with you. It's just a simple name exchanging and socializing. 4-After that simple sentence you can continue the conversation. The important thing is the opening. The ice-breaker. Later on just go with the flow. Ask her stuff that you really want to know about her but don't ask too many questions so that she doesn't feel like she is being interrogated. Once in awhile make a statement or express your opinion on the subject. You can hang out in the local coffee shop or in the city park. Doesn't matter much where you will hang out but it should be somewhere where you will feel comfortable. 5-Be funny. I can't stress this enough. You MUST come off as a chilled guy. It dosent matter if there are good or not so good jokes. Make her laugh and that's the first signal that she is enjoying her time with you . all I did to get laid was growing some balls and asking a beautiful girl if she wants to talk .thats it . And then everything went on naturally . The first date. The second date .and then in the third date we decided to have sex .and we did . Trust me ..I was falling into depression and incel mentality for the whole past year..but I kept pushing myself and believed in myself that I can do it .you can too .it's your right. Don't let any losers convince you otherwise. And finally I want to talk about the law of attraction. It works .it 100% works .what you need to do is to have a vision and a constant fantasy in your head of your future girlfriend .you have to do visualisation techniques. The more you focus on something ,the more it manifests in your life .it's as simple and magical as that . If you have any questions..ask away ?

I'm not playing any games . I'm saying Its like forming an opinion on someone after interacting with them or just seeing them. You will behave in a way like, you know the other person completely and you can anticipate their actions in a +ve or a -ve way, based on your opinions formed on them. Judging the people is nothing but coming to a conclusion about them, by analyzing their appearance and behavior . Judging is not a bad thing. Judging is inevitable. But remember one thing this will only and only reflect you. You will never realize someones situation unless you face it. It is very easy to judge a person, but the tough thing is to be empathetic. So be brave and go for the tough one. I hope I help you. -
Someone here replied to Razard86's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Razard86 if you assume that there are low consciousness people..then you automatically assume yourself to be high consciousness..relative to them .and that does put you in a low consciousness mode .namely judging people. But you trick yourself into believing you are not judging them based on the appearance for example...but on "their " consciousness. Consciousness isn’t an object, a process or a pattern. Most people use the word when referring to the contents of consciousness, which are indeed processes, patterns and objects. But the important part, the thing that distinguishes consciousness from everything else, is it’s subjective nature - the awareness that you have of the contents of consciousness. It’s this awareness that some people realize their identities with. After such a realization you don’t decide to change your life. In fact you don’t make any more decisions at all, because decision-making, weighing up the pros and cons of a situation and choosing the actions that appear to provide the most benefit, is no longer relevant when you realize that you are the basis of everything. In this case you don’t do anything, everything just happens, but from the outside it appears that you are acting in some optimal way. -

No .when you die in a dream you ALWAYS immediately wake up . You might fall asleep again and have another separate dream. But only after you've woken up from the previous dream. -

Good one. Very clever argument. Thanks for opening my mind to this possibility -
As you guys know ..I'm a solipsist..I don't believe in an external objective world full of others. And my argument that since all of one’s perception of reality occurs within one’s consciousness, one cannot be sure that there is a reality outside one’s consciousness. From within the mind (where all perception is) we cannot prove external reality exists at all. There may be nothing to correspond to what we perceive. It may all be in one’s head. I think it's a Strong argument. I don’t know how you’d disprove it! However, you’ll note that anyone advancing that argument nevertheless behaves as if people are real entities they have to interact with to get results. They act as if . What's the relationship between solipsism and conspiracy theories? Well ,Either we’re all real people with this inability to prove something exists outside our heads, in which case it’s business as usual for any conspiracies why should such a wonky argument make a difference? ..or the conspiracy theorist is the only one who exists. In which case big deal, you’d still expect the figments to act like people, like they all always do, and conspiracies can go on without a hitch! Inside the only existing person’s head. I suppose that someone who’s paranoid and believes that there are conspiracies against him or her might well be a solipsist. It occurred to me decades ago that “it was all about me.” It was a sign of growing maturity on my part. So be careful before you entertain solipsistic worldview quickly without taking into consideration the consequences..one of which is that you will feel that the whole world and all people are in a conspiracy against you .trying to hide from the fact that you are the only one home. However, it's easy to get out of this mentality..because if you were truly a solipsist you wouldn't believe that there is other people or world out there trying to fool you anyways. Because truly and with all the meaning In the world..you are the only one home . Gotta just make peace with that .

Most non-dualists are also monist idealists. That is, they maintain that all reality is mental, a view which cannot easily be distinguished from solipsism which maintains that only my mind is real. (Of course nobody wants to be called a solipsist so idealists all take great pains to make this distinction.) -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Solipsism is the position of the utter skeptic. It is the assertion that you cannot be certain anything exists but yourself, and you cannot even be sure of what exactly you are, only that you exist in some fashion. -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Let’s say it is a world where solipsism holds true and it is the construct of one’s mind. In that case, there are billions upon billions of “true” worlds, as you would perceive your world as the only world, and everyone else just a part of it. But, let’s say a solipsist runs into another solipsist. They think that the other is wrong, and merely a part of their imagination and their mind. They are stuck in a loop of whoever is “right” when in reality there is no true answer because there are so many different people arguing what is true and what isn’t. as they both see themselves as the only real person and the only real mind. Solipsism is a philosophy that, like others, technically, can’t be proven wrong with logic, because it’s wholly subjective.
