I see what you're saying. I just wanted a clarification on what do you mean by infinity. And I think I got it now. You say "the bottomless void of consciousness" ..that seems like a huge abstraction that has no actuality in direct experience. So I ask you to clarify further what do you mean by that? My own understanding of infinity is It's like you took a bottle of ink and you threw it at a wall. Smash! And all that ink spread. And in the middle, it's dense, isn't it? And as it gets out on the edge, the little droplets get finer and finer and make more complicated patterns, see? So in the same way, there was a big bang at the beginning of things and it spread. And you and I, sitting here in this room, as complicated human beings, are way, way out on the fringe of that bang. We are the complicated little patterns on the end of it. -

Great . So you did experience infinity on 5 meo . Im not here to doubt your experience. I just want to point out that the word "infinity " is being overused on the forum without understanding what it really means. Some believe it means the universe is infinitely big in size and that there is no beginning or end to time ..is that what you mean by virtue of your experience of infinity? I prefer the term illusion. Just like a mirage in the desert. If you mean by it that something appears differently than what it actually is. How do you know that? Of course we don’t know. We don't know what's "outside the observable universe”. we’re talking about regions of the universe with no causal connection to our own. Therefore, for all we know, there may be pink unicorns there, or flying spaghetti monsters.but is that what you mean by reality being infinite ? I do actually believe that the universe is probably infinite, but that is based on the fact that we see no indications of either edges or wraparound. -
May I ask why ? Yeah ..I used to like winter when I was a child because of the rain and the snow ...but as I grew older I started hating it . And the Sewage here sucks .so the streets are always filled with dirt and water which makes talking a walk very difficult. Lol

Why are there anything at all ? Its not just the existence of body that you should ponder. It's the existence of everything. -

Why are you calling it the "false " appearance? Appearance is absolutely true .if you appear to be finite then that's literally what is true .that you are finite. Falsehood doesn't exist. That's what the term implies. If you make a distinction between Truth and Falsehood then you are falling into duality . If you set the infinite and the finite as opponents of each other ..then you are falling into duality . I have said that infinity = truth . But you don't start your spiritual path with a preconceived idea that the truth is infinity. You seek truth, whatever that turns out to be . Maybe you end up discovering the reality is limited .what do you do then? Contradict your direct experience because you’ve been brainwashed that truth equals infinity? Without the mind you couldn't type a single word from this post .why are you demonising the mind? -

I'm the most intelligent person ever . I'm the most happy person ever . I'm the most confident person ever . I'm the most enlightened person ever . I only care about my well being. I only wish happiness and love to all creation. I'm God himself. In my disposal all that is in the heavens and the earth. What else could I ever want ? -

@Jannes thanks ? -
To have absolute truth, you have to create it. That’s what makes it absolute .it’s produced by an absolute authority. You can’t “reach” that, like a discovery, because it requires conscious choice and action for its existence. When you’re searching for something, you’re relating to it as if it were grounded externally..it’s existence is independent of yours. But that’s not how absolute truth works: absolute truth depends on you, you’re its parent. You can’t find it, you have to give birth to it. How is that possible? Because humans have an often untapped and poorly understood capacity to claim absolute authority in a limited domain. There’s rules in this arena, you can’t just make up any old truth and have it become true: that’s called "pretense" or ‘'self-deception'’. To produce actual truth, you have to play within the limits of your authority, and before you can do that you have to hold your authority firmly in both hands recognizing its validity and nature. Most of us can’t do that until we’ve revoked the authority that we’ve unwittingly granted to others. When you see that you have the potential to be an authority but have given it away without noticing, then it’s fairly straightforward to revoke it and take it back, although that does require some courage. What’s the domain of this authority? In fact it covers most of the ‘big questions’ about life, like “who am I?” and “what does it all mean?” and “what’s the most important value?”, etc. These are questions that cannot be answered satisfactorily by mere searching or inquiry ..the absolute and trustworthy answers all require you to exercise your authority as a “meaning maker”.. a being who is a conscious agent aware of the scope of the power implied by their capacity for choice, aware of their role as the source of meaning in their own world. All other forms of truth are conditional: the truthfulness of such truths depends on conditions which are outside of you, and if those conditions change or don’t apply, then that truth stops being true. But the truth that you create is absolute, because it depends only on you.

Bro ..look..All of these existential questions can be debated endlessly, and have been debated for centuries. The debate is about different interpretations of the word “infinity ”. So let me ask you how do you know something Is infinite without its opposite (the finite )? Infinity has been found to be a fantastically useful concept, so mathematicians will continue to use it happily regardless of any eventual outcome of debates around its existence. My warm recommendation is to stop worrying about the existence of infinity and start learning to understand and work with Truth directly. Not suggesting that Truth and Infinity are different things. But just a reminder that our aim here is to find Truth ..not to find infinity . Again not suggesting that these are separate. -

Oh I didn't notice . Unfortunately the editing function have disappeared because its been few days since this thread was posted . I definitely meant "truth". -

Infinity must include all possible finitude. Otherwise it wouldn't be infinity. So we are actually both infinite and finite simultaneously. -

Yes ,..it's "all there is unfolding" ..that's the big picture . But I'm talking about relativistic truths . Like for example creationism VS evolution by natural selection. Why there is debates everywhere around this subject ? Can't we find a bottom line to this debate and know with 100% certainty what's true and what's false regarding this issue or similar to it ? -

I agree with you my man . I'm just saying not everyone is conscious enough to recognize that . Don't assume that just because it seems so obvious and clear to you that It must be the case for everyone. -

False .there are . Absolute truth is not a heavenly otherworldly realm filled with gods and angels .its your direct experience exactly as it is . As simple as that . -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I agree. In fact ,there is not even an objective truth that we all can agree upon .and that's because there isn't an objective reality. The two are linked together. Every human being is a whole world onto itself. The universality of truth is a girly childish dream. Only with God in the equation who is universal by definition, Man is not infinite and cannot arrive at it by speculation or conjecture. objectivity is not attainable. But whatever truth you come to realize in your own direct experience is true for you specifically. but not belief; one must differentiate these. -

Agreed. I noticed that as people grow up they become less aggressive, less intellectually violent .and more peaceful and surrendered. Its almost impossible to find an old person who gives a shit about political debates anymore lol. -

You can't have happiness and freedom from suffering without knowing the truth . In fact I would say that 90% of the reason why people are miserable is because they are lost in confusion and got no clue what's true and what's false anymore . I agree with you that the quality of our experience is what matters the most ..but that can only come after you awaken to that fact . Don't assume that it's obvious or everyone know this . -

..so prioritizing the truth over being right.or maybe the other way around ? If truth is the most important thing to you then you are already marching towards it. -

Great. How would you describe this experience? What is it made of(matter ,consciousness, perceptions, sensations, pasta)? Where is it taking place ? In consciousness? Or outside of consciousness? Have you experienced anything outside of consciousness? and about the "I" ...let's just say that there is an appearance of a body typing on computer..do you agree that the body exists ? Its almost undeniable, right ? I will get back to this point again and add few more questions..but for now these are good to get us going. -
Someone here replied to AnthonyR's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@axiom can we agree at least that something is happening? Like there is stuff and experience taking place right now ,right? I'm not defining it In any way. I'm just saying something is obviously here . Do you agree ? -
Someone here replied to AnthonyR's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are contradicting yourself. You say "I" would say. And then you deny that "I" exists . -

The self is the devil . -
Someone here replied to AnthonyR's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Awareness exists ,right? That's how you know that you exist ,right ? Now what is meant by "self Awareness " is the capacity that sentient creature have to be able to observe the world and interact with it in an intelligent and purposed way .unlike dumb inanimate objects like rocks and cars . @AnthonyR AI will never become conscious because consciousness is NOT and emerging phenomenon of physical matter. Its the other way around. -

I believe the illuminati . I have a theory that the world Is being runned by demons . Human demons .the people who are at the peak of power and control the masses are evil. Although I have no evidence to back up my claim . So I really don't know what I'm talking about ? -

Great quote ?. Seems like we will be around for eternity. Enjoy your infinite existential prison. Or don't .?
