This whole' no self ' business.. . The entire Buddhist doctrine that teaches no-self could be easily debunked by simply saying "I'm this body right here. This organism that breaths and eats and sleeps..etc are you going to say body is a thought and whatnot? Sorry but that is just utter nonsense. I'm really not baby-sitting anyone or here. I'm a hardcore Truth seeker. I identify as that. And I ask you to respect this. Body is an object that you have actual sensual direct experience of. I'm sorry I need to point such obvious things. Relative means it's not true from all possible POVs. You are using language. Your words are subject to relative falsehood. If you want to never be wrong just stop using language. Silence is never wrong. What you say is not absolutely true. Otherwise we can't be disagreeing about it right now if it's absolute. "there is no you" is relative. It's not the end-all be-all God-given golden Truth. It all depends on what do you mean by you. We could define me as the body.. Or As an ego.or As all of existence. -

Curious how would you define "relative ". The Absolute is All inclusive. It includes the relative within it . So you can't "really " separate the two. Just like trying to separate The fetus and the umbilical cord. I disagree. Body is more than a thought . I don't think you can knock on wood and call it a thought . Anything physical is not a thought. The label itself is a thought indeed ..but the which the label points to isn't a thought . Great ?. -

I agree 90% .You are not the character created by the mind which is reading this message now. The question was raised by the mind.. and now in form of me this answer is seen the mind. I said I agree that you = consciousness. But you are contradicting your own definition by saying ivan has nothing to do with consciousness. I mean you aren't some puffy buffy cloud of mystical consciousness floating around in empty space lol. Get real and in touch with your body . Everything which you see as happening is seen by consciousness .. and the" I" which is seeing this who is seeming to posses this consciousness is also consciousness. When consciousness subsides.. everything subsides as well. That's my opinion after all . Make with it however you want -

@ivankiss can you give me your self-definition? How do you define yourself? What is exactly would you consider "you " to be ? -
Someone here replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It was just an analogy. What I meant by "uploaded " is its akin to data uploaded on a hard drive or memory card . Everything in existence is in that sense uploaded or carried inside your consciousness. So if we destroy the hard drive the data is destroyed as well . Analogously..if we destroy consciousness..the whole world disappears. -

@The Redeemer The realization that life has no meaning can also be the most liberating experience you can have. You can decide yourself what you want to do with your life. Seeing everyone you meet and everything you do as an endless stream of opportunities makes life incredibly rewarding. -

Well can you clarify what was false about that statement? Right now you are holding your phone or PC and reading this ..that gadget isn't a physical object that exists objectively in an objective universe..it's the activity of your mind (this was revealed to almost everyone who take 5 meo or any other potent psychedelic). That the world is mental rather than physical. And by mental I mean dream-like . So once you die..the dream ends and the entire universe is killed . -

Well.. I make a distinction between the false you and the Real You . Not sure if you make that distinction as well . But for me..saying "the you is an illusion " and leaving it at that is extremely one dimensional and simplistic . Not sophisticated perspective on reality. The ego or the entity behind the eyes is illusion. But you are infinite consciousness . The whole world is being held within your consciousness. You should know that already. How ? Just like how you hold a unicorn in your mind as a thought . That's sort of like a shallow level of imagination. Your dreams at night are a denser version of imagination. And the waking world is even more dense. But its still a dream in consciousness nevertheless. Where is your dream after you woke up? Where would this world be after you ceases imaging it ? -
Someone here replied to ivankiss's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@ivankiss solipsism is true if viewed with respect to the Infinite Self . There is only the Self . God .Truth .etc The false self (ego ) aka human self is NOT the only thing in existence. But it's true that there is only consciousness. But notice that consciousness is a personal thing ..you are personally consciousness. It's not something separate from your direct experience. If you die in a car accident tomorrow..the whole world will die with you . Why? Because the whole world is uploaded in your consciousness . -
A common response that I have heard to the problem of evil essentially boils down to the idea that it is impossible for god to create a world that contains no evil or suffering that also has free human beings. In order for people to be free.. they need a choice to do good or bad... and they also need to reap what they sow. I don’t think this logic is totally flawed but I also don’t think that the idea at the core of the argument accurately represents the world we live in . There are plenty of people who suffer and die in natural disasters or from diseases..which have nothing to do with the moral or immoral actions of human beings. So what's up with that ? Well..First realize what exactly Is God up to ? What is his purpose? To answer this question you also have to answer the question "what is God " first and foremost. God is infinite being. The only purpose of an infinite being is to spawn things into existence endlessly. Its just pure infinite creativity. That's what God is . What God is up to is simply the maximumization (I'm not sure if my spelling of this word is correct lol) of creatures .so he creates all kinds of diseases..pains ..sorrows..loss ..destruction..etc . Because according to the Sufi tradition...everything was pure potential in gods mind .and God's mercy for his creation is to give them actual existence instead of remaining as pure potential. And so that's what God did . He gave everything its appropriate form. There is a verse in the Quran which says: "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided it". Chapter 20 .verse 5. So according to the Quran God gave evey possible form it's existence . That's why he created evil. Because without evil ..God can't be who he truly is ...God can't be God. Feel free to ask any questions

I agree. Without suffering there cannot be learning or growth . But do you think the benefits of suffering outweigh its negatives? I imagine who never suffered would be very naive. overall a little empty and plain I think. So much of the overall reality would not be understandable for them. And the smallest thing would hurt them really bad -

Evil and suffering are inevitable and necessary parts of existence. Accept it or don't. Up to you . -
Most people believe in one of the two following metaphysical worldviews: 1-is an idea of a real reality out there beyond percepion that we shall never fully know. 2-The Second is the actual reality we are witness to. That our sense perceptions are an accurate representation of what is in fact real. Of course we can extend this perception with Micrscopes..telescope.. scanners,l.. X-rays etc.. but that we are living in and a witness to what is real. I lean more towards the second. There is in fact no evidence whatsoever that there is a deeper layer to reality behind the veil of perception. Unfortunately..most scientists and intellectuals nowadays believe in the first worldview. That's why Leo says we still live in the dark ages .

I see where you're coming from . What concepts really are is about their ontological status. The answer will depend upon the philosophy you adopt. A materialist would regard concepts as ultimately reducible to the functioning of the material brain..while an idealist would regard concepts (and matter) as ultimately reducible to mind or consciousness. For example..According to Plato.. The concept of a tree is an abstract idea that makes it possible for us to experience trees..as such. Without the concept of a tree we may have experiences of images but they are not recognized as being an experience of a tree without the concept of a tree. So same with the five senses. If you don't label them then there is just the unspeakable ineffable reality . -

Life is the hard part . Death is freedom. It's when you finally let go of this human suit and become free. And rest in peace hopefully forever but God likes to keep dreaming . -

Well ...super strictly speaking.... My mom for example is not around me at the moment... And if I'm not going to rely on memories... Then no...the statement "I have a mother" is not the Truth at this precise moment of experience. Unlike the screen that is in front of my face. Now this might sound "weird" or whatever. But only because people are not used to radical degrees of epistemic honesty. -

The five senses are real because you are experiencing them directly without intermediary. You see stuff effortlessly and directly. Same with all other senses. However..let's tak "causality"...what the hell is that even look like ? Can you point to it ? Does it have any shape or location? Smell or color ? Isn't it obvious that it's abstract concept? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I'm not saying there isn't anything outside of my precise experience at this precise moment... I'm saying the content of my own experience in this precise moment is sure more true (certain) than anything whatsoever. -

You don't get it . You are EVERYTHING. If you say I'm just a detached observer of pain ..then that's less than an unlimited identity. If you are infinite consciousness. .how can you be just the witness of pain and not the pain itself as well ? -
Someone here replied to Holykael's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Consciousness obviously is appearing as a body . If you don't have a body and you are free floating wind of magical Consciousness then please bleed your wrist without moaning from pain . -
Someone here replied to Holykael's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are the body and much more . Not sure what kind of nonsense is this . -
Someone here replied to Holykael's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Whatever it is..how is what youre doing actually improving your life? The mind literally can Spin endless varieties of different kinds of hell realms . Because the imagination is infinite . But until you become actually conscious of actual infinity you should stop negatively theorising about it . -

Your sensory experience is absolute truth. As in its the only thing which is certain .Please notice this. You don't know anything else. and whatever you come to know must be inside your sensory perception. For instance.. when you leave a crowded room and then come back later.. all the other people are not in exactly the same spot as they were. Rather complicated events unfolded according to strict physical laws. So in fact I'm not denying that something cannot exist outside of your sensory experience. But that it MUST pass through that filter to be considered by you . -

@Holykael dude..enough is enough .go visit a therapist and stop this negative shit swimming. You are the cause of your own suffering. Shift your focus from your thoughts to your feelings. Breathe ..meditate..start a gratitude journal . Work towards ending your suffering. Instead of blazing the fire bigger .
