It's not the highest teaching . Leo's teachings for example (or even Nahm for that matter) is much better. What is cessation? -
My whole life is a dream. Gosh how liberating that is. When you realize that this entire infinite cosmos is nothing but a figment of Your imagination. It's exactly the Same as falling asleep at night, dreaming a dream, and watching two people in the dream have a conversation, a disagreement, perhaps even an argument. Perhaps, you don't just watch but join in. You argue with them too, and perhaps do so lucidly. But perhaps they make good points, perhaps they change your mind about something. Or perhaps you just have fun arguing with them, with yourselves really. In the deeper realer reality, we are not three people having an argument but one big transcendental brain having a dream. It is one playing as many. You will not find the singular brain in the dream where you find the many different people with many different thoughts having an argument. You can look to the left or right, or look up or down, but you will never see it with your dream eyes from your dream body. And yet you can become lucid and easily see that the singular unified dreamer dreaming the dream is undeniably much realer than anything in the dream. It's even realer than whatever ever-changing thing you see when looking into a mirror in the dream at any given moment. And what happens always all the time if you fall from the balcony and hit the ground and seemingly die in the dream ?.....you wake the fuck up.

Yes I'm seeking answers to what Is . Because "what is " is extremely mysterious. You can't help but ask questions and seek to understand it . You suggest to drop the mind and the intellectual contemplating and just focus on being OK with everything (surrender). Both complete each other .if you go into any side of them too much it becomes extreme and toxic . So you gotta strike the right balance between seeking and surrendering. -

To have your curiosity frustrated is an uncomfortable feeling, but on the greater scale of things it’s good because this feeling of discomfort drives people to discover some of those elusive truths. If your curiosity about the universe is a really significant thing for you, you can attend a university or some online courses and learn about astronomy and cosmology. You can be provided with truths as quickly as you can assimilate them. Many (believe they) have already found it, and are striving to spread it all over the world, by means fair and foul, peaceful and painful. -

OK fine ..what's your "Truth " anyways ? I'm interested to hear ?. -

So you think that cultural differences can alter your worldview to the point of believing the earth is flat ? Is that how severe the Cultral brainwashing can be ? -
You may have different thoughts about last year. For some it may have been a success while for some it may have been not so a success. But i value you being here for a whole year, despite your ups and downs. You all contributed in valuable discussions throughout the last year and helped to flourish this forum . And I take this opportunity to thank you all for that. I wish you a very happy new year ? ? and at the same time I would like to invite all of you to be with me (for which I know that you do not need invitations) Thank you once again. I recently visited tajmahal with my girlfriend. What could have been better than visiting epitome of love with love of my llife? I went to Agra few days ago before the Christmas.( Agra is the city where Tajmahal is situated). I went to visit Tajmahal this morning. Took some photos. I heard that you have to stand in long queue to get a ticket for Tajmahal. So I already booked tickets online which saved my time. Ticket charges were 45 INR Per person to enter into Tajmahal. If you want to see mausoleum of Mumtaj Mahal and Shahjahan, you need to pay 200 INR extra. I hired a guide. Guides are very easy to find outside of Tajmahal. People who don't hire a guide while visiting a historical place, miss a lot of small and important details which doesn't connect to them with the place. As soon as I entered into Tajmahal, I was awestruck to see the beauty of this place. My wish for the new year is to move closer and closer to my life purpose (achieving financial independence ,quit cigarettes completely, have more active sex life and social life ,more friends etc). Not so much of a new year resolution . What about yours ? .

And I said I agree with you about the last point . But still..humans can and will keep discovering more and more from the universe. There is no limit to the human curiosity. Look at how science advanced exponentially in the last century. Whereas animal's curiosity is all about food and sex . -

If we take two people from different cultures, different religious beliefs, different agriculture, etc and survey them on whether the earth is round or flat? Would you agree that their answers will vary depending on these factors that I mentioned? -
Someone here replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Nope .Leo is so much higher consciousness than these human chimps . The guy gets information downloaded into his mind in real time as he speaks to the camera for hours on end . The dude is in a whole new level. Have you awoken to alien love yet ? -

You are falling into the neo advaita trap my friend. If enlightenment is ‘knowing and being yourself’, then the easiest path undeniably turns out to be ‘probing and discovering yourself’. Bhagwan Ramana Maharishi calls it ‘Atma Vichara’ or ‘Self-inquiry’, and He said over and over again that this is the Direct Path. If by chance, you find this direct and easiest path difficult, then you are left with no options other than to take a call on the other paths by others sages . It still seems wiser to begin from ‘you’, and make amends, if you should, as you move on the path. That’s the easiest path as it is the sanest, to begin with. -

@Javfly33 what prevents you from having sex ? -

@Jowblob the reason why these glitches happen is synchronicity, if you think of the matrix as a web of interconnected minds, then one persons thoughts influence another. Carl Jung was on to something. Let’s say something happened and you were just thinking about it. for example you were thinking of a song and then it plays on the radio, or you were thinking about someone, the phone rings and its them. Your thoughts are spilling over into the collective unconscious and influencing other minds . -
I saw myself in another person. ok let me explain it.. when I was around 14/15 I was in a market with my parents and I saw a kid with his parents who looked exactly like me when I was 6/7 I mean he even wore my favourite sweater which was a blue and white striped one. I couldn’t believe my eyes, at first I thought that maybe its a similarity but no it was me, everything the same even the hair, I clearly remember well because I had this thick slightly curly hair. By the time I could get my parents’ attention to show them, the little me had disappeared in the crowd. I still have fresh memory of that incident and tried to reason it out but so far haven’t come up with an answer…a glitch? maybe… That's also why people seem to look at you weirdly . And the entire universe seems to revolve around you .this been happening to you your whole ife but you never stopped and thought why. It is a clear indication that you are God. I would go as far to say that If you pay attention to your daily life ..you will notice a lot of glitches in the matrix. But you have to concentrate and not take for granted those subtle moments when you experience a Deja-vu or something alike.

Nice story you got spinning right there ?. Or maybe you should say Regardless of everything else.. Never mind the obvious fact that people are simply individuals, and every individual has his or her own mind, experiences, motives, values, etc and why these factors alone shouldn’t answer the question for anyone is a mystery to me .even if two people had identical characters, they can’t occupy the same location in the universe. So, they can’t help but see the world differently, if they’re watching the same object or event. Because no two people are alike. Animals also feel separate. When a lion is chasing a rabbit for his lunch .it experiences itself as separate from the rabbit . I agree that the sense of self is less likely in animals but that doesn't make them better than humans in any way . Animals, always living in the present moment yet trapped by deep habits and lacking intellectual capacity to take up a conceptual spiritual path, spend their entire lives running parallel to enlightened beings, so close to realization, yet infinitely far away. -

There can only be one center by definition (if you want to use geometrical language). And that is of course ME ? . Show me . Jump off a cliff and let's explore what happens then . Yes I'm familiar with it . Its weak sauce. Good fo newbies. But not as deep and satisfying to the intellect .its more satisfying for the soul. But I care about understanding reality in the deepest way possible. And btw ..death is both real and unreal simultaneously. Just like everything else . -

Of course it did play a huge role . I would say if you are not having sex then you are not even alive . You are missing out on 50% of what life can offer to you .incredible degrees of happiness and fulfilment man. It will turn your ife upside down. Downside up . -

I understand that people are in different stages of cognitive development. And that leads to various worldviews . But we live now in the Internet era where information is available for everyone. Why are we still stuck collectively in stage blue and orange (either brainwashed religious nutcases or materialists atheists )? -

So there is no qualitative difference between animals and humans ? Come on dude. Sell me something more convincing . You make zero sense . Why only humans explore the universe and ask for the source of the universe and how we got here ? Why only humans care about art and beauty and mathematics and no animal has that capacity? -

This makes me question what's the point of life if we are all gonna die in the end? Well..I guess The beauty and tragedy of life is that it is finite. It has an end. We all know it but none of us ever really think about it. As someone who has faced death, I can tell you that it is terrifying but also eye-opening. The point of life is to not just live it and get through your daily grind, but it’s to experience it. When I am with friends and families I am present. I am with them in that moment. I hang on to hugs longer and I dip into conversations deeper. I want to hold every moment because they are precious and one day soon enough they will be gone. But when my time comes I will know that I squeezed every damn drop I could from this experience and I hope that will give me solace at my final rest. -

I'm talking about the nature of existence and the big existential questions. Like what is reality ?why are we here ?what happens when we die ?etc and im asking why there seems to be no agreement among religions or philosophers since the dawn of time .everyone is making shit up that's different from everyone else .and each one claims to be to the only source of truth and nobody else . -

I know infinity exists. It just means that something has no end. We can estimate the number of miles to the sun or Jupiter or another solar system. But, we can’t estimate the number of miles to the end of the universe because there is no end. That is one example of infinity. Numbers reach to infinity. No matter what number you think of, I can add 1 to that number. You can then add one more. And I can add one more. We never reach the end of numbers. It is, understandably, a bit confusing, hard to wrap your mind around. Even mind boggling. -

@NoSelfSelf Everyone has to discover their own truth? -

Is it infinity or simply direct experience? Can the two be synonymous? Not suggesting that they are not the same thing . But just curious how would you classify the conceptual notin of infinity when it's not directly experienced with our ordinary everyday experience?
