The hilarious thing is that who'd you think "God" is if not YOU? And so you are doing it to yourself just like in your nightmares you are the creator of the monsters and snakes who terrify you . I haven't slept in the last 48 hours and I'm already feeling like existence is not real 😂 All thanks to my addiction to technology . I come back home from college around 4 PM. Then I stay till past midnight on my Laptop or phone or PlayStation or whatever. I'm either gaming ..listening to loud music ..trolling on some Discord server ..etc extremely hyperstimulated. Add to that cigarettes and Caffeine = impossible to sleep . Our ancestors thousands of years ago had nothing to do in the nighttime. Because there was no electricity. As soon as the sun sets it gets pitch black ..and after a long day of hunting for their daily food they just make some fire in the evening and relax and sleep early and wake up with sunrise. Pretty natural life. Guys if you suffer from insomnia stay away from screens and Internet as sooner from the evening as possible.

@theoneandnone There is no difference at all whether solipsism is true or not ..or whether the flying spaghetti monster is the one true god ..or that Jesus is the way..or that Islam is the correct religion..or that reality is a dinosaur having a dream it's a human ..or the universe came to existence along with all your memories LastThursday.. Etc . You still have to get up in the morning..have breakfast..go to work or college ..force yourself to socialize and play the social games ..etc Notice the following in direct experience: your mind has the ability to think up endless possibilities and back stories about where did existence came from. That's the very nature of the mind. Buddhist folks call it monkey mind . The solution is to spend some time alone and practice meditation and try to achieve no-mind state .

I'm noticing a certain drop or decrease in the quality of the posts on this subforum about spirituality.I don't know much about the other subforums since I post the bulk of my posts here and read other's posts mostly on this subforum... and I'm sure most people on here do the same . People are not offering mature ..or academic style perspectives regarding existential inquiries.(I'm not saying people should write like a Harvard professor)..but at least put some effort into crafting a classy Juicy reply . There is an unhealthy obsession with topics such as: death..hell..insanity..solipsism etc. And I'm guilty of contributing to adding more fuel to the fire . A lot of people post threads with very poor OP. Sometimes it's just one word ..or one sentence. Sometimes it's a question that has been discussed to death on this forum in the past . There is an unserious tone with people's posts .I'm guilty of that as well. There is overuse of the F word and slang Street language. I'm guilty of that as well. I'm not sure but probably most the posters on this forum are treating spirituality and existential matters as a piece of entertainment. Its like yeah let's chit chat about freaking God or immortality or whatever . Back in the days people who dared to open their mouth about such topics were burned alive . People are getting spoiled today because its being discussed publicly on the internet and basically any fool can write whatever he /she wants..coming from experience or not ..just parroting Leo or not ..without them actually being conscious of what they themselves are saying . Etc . I'm obviously not gonna mention specific names here (other than myself) to not start drama ..but for those who recognise themselves after reading this..please level up your game . Thanks .

Well ..who's the victim here ? Social media is designed to keep you hooked and tied to your fucking phone 24/7 . You keep scrolling shorts and you keep jumping from one thing to another mindlessly. It's really difficult to stop this .I call it addiction . What I'm proposing is that people back in the days had it easier regarding this side of the coin..that is ..that they didn't have YT or TikTok or PH or none of that ..so they can relax and unwind in the evening instead of partying with their online imaginary friends . I think there is a difference between what mysticism calls consciousness and what science calls consciousness. Science talks about Perception. Perception is indeed dependent on the brain . There is literally Perception centers in your brain for each sense you have like taste and smell and vision etc . This is ABC science facts .not wise to flippantly deny obvious discoveries within science. However..what mystical people call consciousness is EVERYTHING. The substance of everything. The most fundamental thing ever. The thing that doesn't go away even if you sleep forever or die forever. The absolute ground of everything that is . That thing doesn't depend on a brain or on anything else..rather ..everything else depend on it .
