@Holykael what kind of evidence do you need to believe in free will? -
For those of you who are new to these terms.. "Monogamy" refers to the marriage of two people at a time. one husband and one wife. "Polygamy" is the marriage of either a husband to multiple wives or a wife to multiple husbands. Why does men tend to desire multiple sexual partners and women just look for that one perfect guy? Men basically want to have sex with every attractive girl out there. I know I am. Think about your porn collection lol.. You don't just fixate on one pornstar.. You try to hunt for as much hot women as possible. Girls don't desire every attractive guy. They only want "true love" with one guy. Why are men Polygamous and women monogamous? First of all.. Am I even right? What do you guys and gals think?

I understand. Thanks for the reminder. Basically things become addictive because your brain learns to like things. These feelings arise because my brain likes them and makes me feel like doing them again so i can get that feeling the brain is looking for. For example you try ice cream and like it. What happens now is the brain will light up releasing a chemical that binds to a receptor in the brains reward circuitry. This process sends signals throughout the body that tell you mmm i like this ice cream it tastes nice. So now your brain has a memory of it and so you now have a feeling that if you do it again you will get that pleasurable feeling. Also each time you do it the memory is reinforced making you want to do it again and again. thats why people find them hard to kick especially drugs because addictions are directed from the brain and the brain actually changes on a physiological and neurological level to adapt and influence whatever addiction is being developed. So addicts in all forms are a slave to their biology and thats why they just cant stop as many people think . Their addiction is somewhat now a physical and psychological process much like being hungry is. You cant just say am not hungry when you are because it is an urge that happens naturally. Being addicted therefore is like being hungry with the compulsions of each addiction obviously being of different strengths. Thats why addicts cannot just make a decision right then and there to stop whilst being addicted. Their hunger is physical and they cant just shut it off. It requires help of a sort at a certain time that in effect allows the brain to recover from the addiction it . I stopped cigarettes for two months ..but you know what...fuck it ..I'm gonna make a confession ..I did smoke this morning ? But I'm getting bored of cigarettes..Im like drug addict who developed tolerance to the drug and now needs more novelty or increase the dose .so I'm thinking for trying Cigars ,Pipe cigarettes, shisha.,weed etc

Yes, it is a means of controlling female sexuality.. but strangely enough.. it’s often women who engage in slut-shaming. why this occurs range from feminist theories referring to it as “internalised misogyny” (though I’ve even known feminists who’ve engaged in slut-shaming) to evolutionary psychologists calling it “female intra-sexual competition”. As for why men engage in slut-shaming.. it’s probably because there’s a tension within men between wanting casual sex with anyone who takes their fancy, and wanting a monogamous partner who will be loyal only to them.

Do you mean estrogen? Because that's the feminine sexual hormone. I'm sure if you inject women with testosterone, her clit will slowly turn into a dick head lol

@ivankiss Gosh, hopefully my value won't be decreased having sex a couple of of times with 26 years. I know many will find me weird. but luckily, I don't walk in the streets with a banner writing I'm Virgin. No one knows, only my parents, my one granny (my other Angel passed away one month ago), and my brother, not even my friends (they are all in relationships, baby... And you right now. When my time comes to have a committed relationship, I hope the girl won't run away, or she will only be with me to make sex with me, and disappear forever. That's why, I doubt I'll say you also had deep sexual experiences. In fact I think you never had experience in sex. I'm not gonna argue over that because it's silly. And you said you are just "killing time". So I hope you're enjoying our discourse, sir.

Yes I understand what you're saying. In the past Monogamy served a valuable purpose in creating a secure and safe environment for child raising.. Isn't that your point? Women were able to focus entirely on raising the child while men could tend to tasks such as food harvesting, hunting, etc. without the added burden of chasing extra mates. It also cut down on the amount of infanticide that occurred in these early societies. Women who are rearing an infant child would not be open to conceive other children until quite some time so rival males would kill the child to hurry the process. I disagree. I don’t believe monogamy is mandatory, crucial, or even important as a general rule. What If you naturally feel attracted to multiple people? and everyone involved is on board with that, then there’s nothing wrong with polyamory. And I think larger marriages, in particular, could be a much better way to raise children and to maintain a household, if you can maintain the more complicated structure. I myself was polyamorous for decades, not going so far as to be in a multiple relationship, but at some points having a relationship with multiple people (sort of dating without going steady, to use very outdated terminology) and certainly never losing interest in other ladies even when in a relationship, even when I didn’t do anything about that because the feeling was not mutual. But I find myself, in just the past few years, in a new relationship, where suddenly I have lost interest in other women. And I’ve also, perhaps coincidentally or perhaps as a part of the same conversion, found I’m interested in my girlfriend, not having relationships with other people.

Elaborate please. What was the experience like ?and how did you draw the conclusion that you are "the only conscious thing in the universe "? Also, by any chance ,did you listen to Leo's solipsism video ? Because the terminology you are Framing this with is so similar to Leo. -

@Vlad_ who filled your head with that crap ? -
Idk . I can only talk about my culture and society. In India? Girls have far less options than Guys do. There are tinder/dating app studies that prove this. So the chances of them cheating are quite low and lower than men. It doesn’t take much for a guy to cheat compared to a girl, although guys have to work harder, Women just have to be there and say yes. I understand that it's different in western culture. average girl nowadays (in the west) has at least 20 guy friends attached to them, so they have a lot of chances to do so. It honestly all starts at ground zero for them. “Yes or no” to the guy who is trying to advance. Girls get hit on constantly. Let’s not even discuss the emotional cheating part, that’s a yikes lol. I wouldn’t know. The idea of one night stands alone disgust me. I’ve been a one-woman man my entire life and have dumped women before intimacy because I discovered they had a habit of sleeping around. Call me old-fashioned (which is hilarious because I’m the opposite of old-fashioned in every possible way) but I desire something prized and wonderful, a woman to fight for who will fight for me, to protect and be protected by, to guide and be guided, to honor and be honored, not sloppy seconds. I respect those who are biologically geared toward polyamory but it is absolutely not for me. I won’t even kiss someone if I haven’t already deduced from analysis that there is actual chemistry and long-term potential.

Good analysis. I agree. If one focuses strictly on the reproductive aspect of relationships, it makes perfect sense: a male's reproductive strategy is to have intercourse with as many females as possible and hope that at least one of them will get pregnant, whereas a female's reproductive strategy is to get impregnated by the strongest male she can find.

The problem is men like diversity. It gets boring quickly to have a relationship with one girl . Because there is always another girl who Is more beautiful and attractive. So that's why committing in a serious relationship for a guy is difficult. Especially if you come across other attractive women in your daily life. This explains why men cheat on their girlfriends while the opposite is not the case. I mean the cause is that men are polygamous and women are monogamous.

I agree about the part that it's easier for women to have sex. But do you think the reason is because the feminine Is the sought object? I mean the receptive? And men are pressured to approach? I believe that monogamy is an overall bad for women. I see a lot of people getting caught up in the temporary thrills of casual sex and infatuation. Sadly, those things often get confused with love because it's all a person has known, and this can lead a person to see connections as temporary anomalies instead of something to nurture and cherish. Then again.. Dropping and swapping partners is becoming a norm in western societies. If you look at monogamy in terms of priority, I suppose one could “believe” in it in that context. But people who have their priorities in order are more stable and are in a better position to be a good partner. Chaos and unpredictability makes most relationships short lived and too tempestuous. That is an observable fact, not a belief. And it is a big reason for divorce Imo. You can't just fuck one cu** for the rest of your life. Just like you can't eat the same lunch every day haha
-
Many modern relationships are monogamous. But even if they want to be with just one partner, some people have trouble staying monogamous. This can lead to breakups, and divorce. I'm all for sexual freedom for women. But let's face it.. When a guy have a bunch of sex with a bunch of women.. It is considered a sign of his manhood. When women do the same they get slut-shamed. Why?

In high school ,my favourite subject were math and physics. I just enjoyed solving mathematical problems. Algebra was like a hypnotic drug for me . Unfortunately I stopped doing maths for more than 5 years now. And I feel like I forgot all the cool stuff I learned (Algebra, calculus, geometry etc). I barely am able to solve the simplest tasks in the multiplication table . How do you rebuild my mathematical abilities?

Does it simply boil down to getting a boring job and making income via whatever means and then save some money every month to future investment? I don't even have a college degree yet and I won't for at least the next 5 years(I'm still at first grade ).does that mean I will be stuck depending on my family to pay my bills and stuff ? I don't like that. I feel like it emasculates me . I'm 26 now and it's time to be a grown ass man and afford for myself . Also..Here’s why most college graduates will NEVER experience financial freedom. So, first I wanna answer the question..why do most people pursue a college degree? Because a degree increases the value of their skills... correct? Yes, absolutely true, it’s been proven over and over again that college graduates are more likely to get paid higher wages than those who don’t have the fancy degree. Well then, if that’s true, why will most college graduates NEVER experience financial freedom? Because there’s zero leverage in HOW these people work! Here’s the math if i take the traditional job-route. My college-acquired skills are more valuable. So I will be able to make more per hour, per day or per month. Yes, true! But, this is how I will be making money if i follow the traditional path that most colleges teach us “Go get a job.” Result? Paycheck = (Skill) x (Time) That means I have to work my ass off for a good half a decade before I can get my shit (money situation) together in life . Isn't there an alternative? I want to invest but I don't even have any income at all . I think that's the most important thing for me at the moment. Is to Start making money via any means possible. So I have few questions: 1- what's the fastest way to achieve financial freedom ? 2-can I start making income from any other source than 9-5 jobs because I don't have time because I have university assignments, exams and projects to work on? 3-let's suppose I started making money independently..it seems to me that they will only serve me in the short term..because I have Tons of bills to pay ..from food to electricity to rent etc...so I won't be saving much to invest in the future. So what's up with that ? How to save money for the long run ? Thanks ?

Bro..I'm starting with ZERO capital lol. How can I start from scratch ? That's why I mentioned that I need a part time job first to have income to start a business. Otherwise its never gonna work .
-
That's all good and nice but I have something to explain.. Im planning on having a crapy wage slave job for few years and save a huge portion of my income. This may not be possible for everyone, especially if it isn’t enough to cover basic living expenses. If this applies to me it would help if i could increase my income. Earning more makes it easier to invest more. This could mean getting a raise, freelancing during my spare time or starting a side business. Here's the fundamental question that I want answers for: do I need income to start a business or do I need a business to have income lol ??

I've yet to have anyone convince me Schopenhauer's aren't the final words on the matter: 'You can do what you want, but you can't want what you want.' That is to say, what ever you do, you have to want it first. Even the phrase 'free will' is an oxymoron. If it's free, then it can't be bound, and if it's willed, then it's bound by will. However, Spinoza, a rigorous determinist if there ever was one, found good use for the phrase by seeing it in a different light: Free will does not imply the ability to transcend causality, but rather, that your actions are free in the sense that they are determined by inner causes, rather than exterior ones. So, free will exists if you see it as being free to follow your own will. This will is of course, in the final analysis, influenced by events external to yourself, but what matters is that your will is free if you experience no conflict between your desires and what you end up doing. However, if you see free will as being metaphysically able to choose between several different, equally possible futures, then you've got a lot of explaining to do, and I can't see anyone getting past Schopenhauer's QED. -
Thanks everyone for the great advice. Unfortunately I'm not able to respond properly to all that (too much text ) but I will share what came to my mind after reading all the comments.. First and foremost..I want to know How much exactly money do i need to achieve financial independence? I'm planning to start a small business. I've seen a lot of posts on here in which people say I gotta develop valuable skills. .I consider myself skillful in philosophy and writing..how can I utilise this talent to help me earn money? Also ,I'm asking people working towards financial independence, what is your target asset level across all investments, that you think will make it safe for you to stop working? For those of you who became financially independent, how much did you have when you stopped working, and how do you feel about it now? Also, sometimes I'll see people post that they'll still work a little bit after they're financially independent. To those people, why not just start doing what you love now? At this point, I'm wondering: how is it possible to invest such a large amount early in my career without income ..I mentioned that I have zero income .so it seems like I have no other option but to work a wage slave job for few years and keep my expenses low to save money for investment. I can achieve this by saving around 40% to 70% of my income. By keeping my expenses low, i can channel more money into investing. To minimise my expenses, i may have to make certain lifestyle where I limit myself from buying some fancy stuff .like I will probably buy the cheapest food and not have Good nutrition. Thanks all for your time and advice ?

The sun sets here at 4 PM. The night is dark and the day is also dark .rarely do I see the sun shining because of the clouds . Maybe its because of lack of Vitamin D that gets produced by the skin when it gets exposed to the sunlight. Anyone else feels depressed or at least melancholic during winter? I mean I also like the cloudy sky and the rains ..its dope ...but also the cold temperature makes showers a pain In the ass (I only take cold baths whether it's summer or winter because I read somewhere that it's good for testosterone). But I also miss the sun .

My penis' length is 12 cm. It's not that big .I would say it's average. When I fucked my girlfriend a while ago. .she told me that I didn't reach to her" G-spot " inside of her .I didn't know what G-spot was back then . I Googled it. It's located about an inch or so inside the vaginal opening on the upper vaginal wall closest to the bellybutton. My penis wasn't tall enough to hit that sweet spot inside her . Now, Im having sex with her again in a few weeks from now (because she is busy in work ,she works two jobs ). So I wanted a solution to enlarge my penis . 3 weeks ago I ordered MaxMan gel .it's a gel that you massage your penis with and it helps with enalgering it. Or so I thought . But the results were shocking . I didn't notice ANY increase in length whatsoever. I've been scammed. The cream will not, repeat NOT, enlarge your penis. Penis size is determined by genetics. You are wasting your money and time. If you think it is working, it is pure fantasy and placebo. This is the product below . (I repeat. Don't waste your money and time on it .it doesn't work )
