  1. In your mind, what is the distinction between the two? How does the transition from self actualization to self transcendence look like? For those into Spiral Dynamics, I look at it as a Yellow to Turquoise transition.
  2. Sounds like you have thrown in the towel on your spiritual journey. Best to admit it honestly than to delude yourself
  3. Be careful not to use this saying as an excuse for avoiding spiritual work.
  4. Reality is infinite, there is no coming out of it. That's why it's imperative that you learn to love reality through your awakening. Else endless suffering will be the case.
  5. You gotta start slow. Trying to change too many things about yourself at once will backfire on you in a nasty way (ego backlash). Start by making VERY small changes. If you eat like shit 7 days a week, try 6 instead. This is just one example of building momentum. Also know that you will screw up your progress here and there. You need to be able to screw up, learn from it and move on. Beating yourself up is only a mechanism to stay the same and not change. Self compassion is important as well. Read: Self Compassion by Kristin Neff
  6. Look up some vids on YouTube from David Goggins...very good stuff about mental toughness. He also has a book called 'Can't Hurt Me'.
  7. At least you know where you messed up, but it doesn't warrant you beating yourself up. Look at it as a learning lesson, you the wisdom for your next interaction with a romantic interest.
  8. There are definitely levels of consciousness. Of course consciousness is always present, but your level of being conscious of consciousness can be low, high or in between.
  9. Paradox is you can't get to effortless consciousness without ... effort
  10. This is all you need in determining what to do. Don't let your friends and family guilt trip you into anything, most young adults have a herd mentality, and shack up/get married/have kids for validation from their social groups.
  11. Not all Christians are anti-abortion. In fact, not all anti-abortion folks are religious people per say. The discussion of abortion rights is a very complex issue..where you can find a wide range of opinions. Sucks for politicians who have to figure out how to satisfy everyone's ego...it's virtually impossible.
  12. For me, it's understanding the why instead of the what. Simply abstaining by force will lead to constant relapse, and more evidence for you to be less and less loving to yourself. One has to get a the motivations...9/10 it will be because there is love lacking in the person, 1/10 genetic reasons. The void will always need to be filled, we can decide what to fill it with. Self compassion is key.
  13. May want to move this to the Dating/Relationships/Sexuality section of the forum for more feedback. Either way, search for ‘How To Be a 3% Man’ by dating coach, Corey Wayne. He has great material on female attraction and runs a great YT channel on this very topic.
  14. Projection much? Maybe you are the low calibre one here.. Practice what you preach and introspect, no one likes a hypocrite. I will be reporting your post as it’s condescending, degrading, low consciousness and lacks humility.
  15. You posted on my other thread…seems you are actively looking for debates to provide confirmation for your worldview/ideology. Dont be so aggressive with the forum.
  16. @lxlichael you take yourself way too seriously. Calm down and live a little Lol…ok dude.
  17. Physical attractiveness is #1 - sounds shallow, but it's important to men. With that being said, attractiveness means nothing for a long-term relationship if she isn't loyal, or a good communicator.
  18. We should appreciate certain illusions, survival is definitely one of them. Just because it's illusory doesn't mean it isn't important. God designed it this way. Seeing through the game doesn't mean we should turn off the console per say. Recognize it is a game, but continue to play (if you wish...it's not required).
  19. Definitely...but it's all God's timing really. In a sense we are not in control of our awakening. I would not call it a regret, more so a wishful thought.
  20. By calling someone a non dualist, it shows that you champion yourself a dualist…which is to be removed from Truth and from God. You cannot intellectualize/rationalize/model Truth, because it is infinite. Know that language and ideas are sourced from infinity, and cannot be used to put infinity is some sort of rationalist box….language and ideas used to describe reality, isn’t actual reality in its raw form.
  21. You are imagining the mystery you speak of, as well as language in general.
  22. After Leo’s latest video on paradox, I am starting to see the recurring theme of taking frequent jabs at the Church of Science (I give it a name like this because science is a worldview and can turn into dogma). I would like to hear from Leo and others if they feel the institution of science is the only thing that stands in front of mass human awakening to God. To me, it is surely the case. However, how do we deconstruct something that is critical to our survival as humans? Isn’t it a slim to zero chance the Church of Science will ever get overthrown, leading to a new regime of God realized beings to emerge as the rulers of the Kingdom of Heaven? Science is mainstream, and we all know how much collective ego backlash occurs when going against the mainstream. I now see why Leo harps on psychedelics, going up again a monster like the materialist paradigm requires extreme measures if we are talking mass scale awakening , traditional methods like yoga and meditation has no chance against science and institutions/cultural norms it influences. @Leo Gura you are going up against Goliath, is it realistic to call you David?
