Trying to fix others is usually a recipe for codependency in a relationship. You may want to investigate where this urge that you have comes from. Loving someone authentically also means accepting their flaws. Accepting doesn’t mean tolerating though .. you can choose to stay or go, but never try to change people.

For me, open minded/spiritual correlates with progressive cities .. most being Cali and the Pacific Northwest. The Bay Area (San Fransico/Oakland) has been the most liberal/progressive place that I’ve ever been.

Weigh the cost, but don’t let that be the sole reason not to move to a bigger city. We are pointing out nuance from Leo’s claim that 800k is too small. Population size might not be the only measuring stick for opportunities in pickup for a particular city .. Las Vegas as an example. Hence me pointing out other factors like culture/vibe. And I’ve been the Las Vegas (Aria Resort & Casino on Blvd.) so I know who’s in the hotel rooms there…I hope have gone there yourself with this amount of sarcasm lol.

@Leo Gura what would you say is a minimum decent population size for pickup/singles looking to mingle? Vegas population size is around 600k .. so not sure if it’s population size, but maybe more so culture / vibe.

Fair enough, i stand corrected. My initial thought of the notion of “healthy” stage orange is having all the material possessions it desires, but that view seems limited. Healthy would be material possessions of money, fame, power and sex being obtained in non fraudulent and illegal means. His Instagram page/lifestyle looks pretty awesome regardless . But then again it’s all surface level. I can see this.

@Tim R I was agreeing with the below statement from @TreyMoney Truth transcends all relative emotions that we attempt to describe through language. Truth is Happiness and Peace as you mentioned .. Truth is what is unconditional.

Seems to me the self-actualization requires us to take a step back, and self isolate for some time. During this period, we begin to question many assumptions .. specifically the inherent value of social relationships. What we find is a lot of bullshit, codependency, toxicity and lies that influence our social activity with friends, family and colleagues. This could significantly decrease the motivation to go back into the social matrix, yet we can't avoid it unless we want to become hermits. Not to mention, even though most of it is BS .. we still get some ego satisfaction out of it. Best thing to do is (when you are ready), go back out and socialize, but do it from a conscious space with your newfound knowledge. You will be tempted to judge others who are ignorant, but it helps to have compassion for them .. as they are simply ignorant, and have not had the profound insights that you have from self actualization. Make a conscious effort to socialize, at least a few times a week .. to get you back into the swing of things.

Could it be that the the severity of issues for African American community, compare to other races, is high because of years of slavery and Jim Crow? I feel as though you are denying this for some reason. Like I said earlier, the issues are not innate to Black people themselves, but the systemic oppression behind those issues. Whatever cultural issue you can come up with, is influenced by years of oppression. I am Black, but I would encourage you to make Black friends (one's that specifically don't share your worldview), and make an honest attempt to understand things from their point of view. You are doing yourself a dis-service by not doing this, and will never reach the truth of the matter.
