Bumping this thread up: still can't decide between making art and graphic design. Creating good graphic designs requires drawing and I love both. also I can't get clear on the exact impact I would like to have. I squeezed my head, and found out that guiding people to psychedelics was not so important to me as a life mission, I just know that it's adding beauty and art to people's lives. Turning my imagination to reality, creating the beautiful package designs that add beauty and delight to people's environments/lives (Kitchen counter tops, rooms, houses etc) Edit: Do I need to specify the exact medium in my LP statement? Can I leave package designs, and replace that with "Art" or will that make it too vague ?

The one about Trump is very straight forward. Like I said maybe I should have made a thread to talk about this since OP’s topic here is about Trump. what I meant was when you sometimes share a post but you dont put too much stocks on it yet people assume that you do, or with the Joseph Campbell one which kind of trippy to me lol. I guess my question is if you understood your audience mind better, would you possibly lower the caliber, or do you prefer to speak form your preferred level of sharing things?

It was maybe an insight I had in the morning and had to communicate it right away, but after thinking about it, I was wrong I think you do acknowledge a lot lof times that there might be a gap in what you are sharing and how people shouldn’t get it, it just made me think of other post where sometimes I get the feeling that what you share and how people get it could be completely different which is trippy to some.

I’m trying to have a conversation not necessarily criticize him, I even thought of an example that illustrates my point that could be applicable. for all we know he does not understand all the ways in which the gap exist and where it happens as much as he says so, and any good attempt to point out that to him in a good way would help build the bridge between his work and people making his mission further reaching.

@Miguel1 a large precent of Americans think like third country people while being blessed with a first country economy and geographic resources, it's insane if you ever traveled here, there's also lots of stage orange selfish success types that don't even understand that Trump could be a Hitler type leader, it just doesn't register that a TV type person can be like that. They also wanna vote for the "stronger" candidate not the weak democrat. The US is a sham that you would not believe, but it's also a HUGE country, unlike the small countries of Europe, so expect all types of crazy things here. I've spoken to European trying to explain this to them and some just cannot believe it. It's like they believe the US can be bad but in their mind they have a model of a functional country like their own. Once I try to explain some of the crazy stuff they think I'm trying to fool them or kidding and start dismissing me.

@Leo Gura I have a meta-idea about your post that I want to share or speak to you about. When you are sharing this post, I get the sense that you are offering a perspective and not fear mongering in your mind. I wonder if I’m right that this is how you preserve it? What I’m saying, or maybe intuiting, is that there is a big gap between your way of thinking and dealing with what you share with us and our way of "getting" it. I suspect the regular followers of your teachings do not get it/grasp it in the same way you meant them to. I don’t know if you are so far from us and our way of thinking to this degree, but I thought I would bring it up for discussion. My main idea is that you were not fear mongering with this post, for example, but I suspect that a large percent of people either took it that way or did not appreciate the pure drop of information. I wonder if you were as "normal" like a lot of us or had had the type of everyday life that a lot of us call regular, then you would have been able to deliver all (not just this post) in a way that we get. I just want to point out to you that this happens with a lot of your posts. I don't know if you are aware that people can't grasp the idea, like, “Hey, here’s just an idea,” without attaching something to it. I wonder if you work on this or try to lower effectively the level of open-mindedness to meet some of us where we are for more effective communication. Maybe this should have been a thread on it’s own lol.

Could you please list some of what you think he has achieved or one way to learn form him about anything enlightenment or not ? I wouldn’t say I’m too familiar with his work, but I read maybe half his book about the body and movement that you have in the book list, and I don’t know if its his style or if I just couldn’t comprehend what he was pointing at, but I can hardly now remember any good insight that I had form reading it.

Hello, I’m currently completing my degree in college and looking to make some good money while I’m at it. What jobs are there that pay a good amount of money do you know of ? I moved to the US 10 years ago, and worked all the regular jobs you can think of. Being a foreigner,I might not know all the ways that people make money that might be either common sense, or you’ve heard about from sources that I don’t know or have access to. I don’t understand how I see thousands of people in my area spending so much more than I make (judging form their shopping carts and vehicles they drive). Do they all work specialized jobs ?

@nerdspeak I’m interested in both blue and white collar gov jobs. How can I find one? You’re saying 1-2 months of vocational course, but the trade schools that I searched up last months to a year. I can start a carpenter or construction worker tomorrow if I can, same with gov jobs but don’t know where to apply. Although I’d prefer to move my body than sit at a desk ideally.

I’m finally at the point of rating my values for the LP course, though I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly. Example: if I rate creativity above art and then beauty above creativity, but when choosing between art and beauty I choose art. How will these values fit? Will It not be a contradiction to say the final order is: creativity art beauty Since I already have beauty above creativity form the second comparison. Am I doing this right? Are we supposed to add the times we choose a value against the others and arrange them that way? I couldn’t find any discussion about this in the form so I decided to ask.

@Leo Gura This is great to know. I was wondering if these values have to be solid and unchanging, or it can be changed with time. I have to list completed but I sense that there is a bit more room for work on finding precise values.

@Phil King well to me art is about skill, creativity is generating ideas, creative solutions and having creative freedom in expression which can be limited for different reasons, beauty is more aesthetics and living a life where every aspect form the clothes you wear to the house you live in to the city etc is beautiful or aesthetically pleasing, it’s also about spreading beauty though design or art or some sort of information product which yeah it does intersect at least here with art. Idk art can be beautiful but it doesn’t have to be to be art, which is why I have them separated, creativity on the other hand is harder for me to define since I can only be doing a solid thing related to this value by reading a book about creativity, or taking notes and recording ideas etc.

What is your physic like? Slim bulky or a mix? where do your ancestors come form ? Is your meals high in carbs or high in protein ? Especially the ones you feel sleepy after. If you eat food and it makes you sleepy that means the food is bad quality that instead of giving you energy it robes you energy in order to process or digest it. Have you had the same problem if you eat high quality food made with high quality oils ? (Olive, avocado)

@universe @universe this is a completely new info for me, I was under the impression that most regular jobs don’t increase salaries very often. However I’m more looking into what professions make the most money that people don’t know of ? also I don’t imagine working as a cashier or a store photographer can make you better money after some number of years.

Hello, I have been struggling with adding and removing values form the LP course value assessment exercise. Like I’ve actually spent a week at least thinking about this. basically I keep finding and removing values and adding values and I’m either 1 value over or 1 less. I have some values that share similarities like Art and beauty, wisdom and spirituality, But at the same time they are each a bit different. I feel like I’ll miss a value or add a value by mistake if I don’t get it right. Am I overthinking this? Would appreciate your help.

I think it wasn’t obvious that you were posting the video in an attempt to show “a side” of the Israeli society, they way Leo posts videos on his blog for example, but instead it looked like you were saying this is how a natural Israel looks like meaning this is the everyday Israel. its like you posted about the amish community in the US and said this is what a neutral America looks like. You said it has no propaganda which was true and I though it was “neutral” in the sense you where not saying Israel bad or good but just showing one side you found interesting. I think @Nivsch was a bit sensitive/jumped too quickly. Ps: I thought they way they speak Hebrew is nice, I like languages. I think @Nivsch you should post what you perceives as neutral Israel as you live there. I’m both interested in general and just to see what side of Israel you are you most exposed to.

@Bernardo Carleial I’m wondering what healthy values can someone looking to integrate purple get from that stage? Also I wonder why is it that purple seems less violent than red? I’ve been reading the book The World Until Yesterday, and even though it tells horrible stories and facts about wars it seems to me at least that red are more violent or harder to live with if that makes sense
