There's nothing wrong with you bro. Practice self-acceptance and loving yourself as you are. Also accept and love others, remember that judgament is a double edged sword. Confidence is just masculine energy. Both men and women, regardless of their sexual orientation, have both masculine and feminine energies in their psyches. So it is't true that being gay is an obstacle for developing masculine energy, I've met many very confident gay men. Let go of that limiting belief. My advice would be: learn to clearly percieve masculine and feminine energies in yourself and in others. Notice how these energies fluctuate constantly, and how their flutuation relates with your thoughts and self-image. Get in touch with your masculine side, it's there, I guarantee. I've found once you develop fine perception of these energies and how their work, it becomes quite easy to cultivate them and fill yourself with what you need, without any specific technique. Best luck and much love my friend!

For itself of course. That's why pure awareness never complains But yeah I get you, it's paradoxical. You are always beyond suffering, and you are not. There's true in both perspectives. No concept does justice to reality. -

To all people saying it's BS, here's what I learnt from studying and experimenting with the occult: Reality can be diveded in planes. The physical plane is the grossest and pure awareness is the subtlest. These two you already know about. Beetween these two, there are planes made out of subtler ("more amorphus", "less concrete", "energetic") forms of conciousness than the physical plane. These are sometimes called the Astral and Mental planes (there is no individual mind as it seems really, only the mental plane of reality). There's a descending causality from these subtler plains to the physical. This doesn't mean you can break the laws of nature, but rather you are using knowledge about these laws in a concious way. The same way we use knowledge about physics to build technology. This is very limited if you compare it to an ideal "God-mode", in the sense you can't modify physical reality in any way you want, but it's still very powerful for some propouses (healing some types of diseases, having fine control of one's emotions and even other people's, attracting success/love in a not specific concrete way, work on your subtle body and activate chakras, astral travels, and more). Many of you guys are biased towards Eastern spirituality, in which these things aren't mainstream and are even disregarded (just like they disregard the physical plane in fact). So I suggest you broad your sources. -

Did you expect to have a direct recognizion of God by reading the forum? -

That's a nice way to put it -

How can something that is beyond time change? Change always implies time. I understand what you mean, form is also an aspect of the absolute. And yes, the absolute does seem to change in our experience because we can realise it in many levels of depth. But I would rather say that neither the absolute nor form really change. It all exists beyond time, and time is an ilusion that's necessary to make our experiencing possible. -

Yes, I understand what you are saying now. There is true in that perspective. But also, see that suffering is a superimposition on that "untouchable peaceful awareness", awareness can't really suffer/enjoy its content, the thing that seems to be suffering/enjoying the content, is actually also content (body-mind-ego). Of course if you aren't in a state of God-Conciousness you won't experience it like that. You are right about that. But even in low states of conciousness, there's a deep layer that's always free, even if its not realised. -

There's true in both perspectives. But I already see the monoperspectival ego-fuled word-game war coming... -

... A brick and your thoughts -

LOL You know what else the ego loves? Thinking it knows better than everybody else, including all sages in human history in your case. Has the Now ever disappeared or changed in your experience? You can never say that conciousness is not. Even in the so called "unconcious states" (deep sleep, faint) you don't actually experience the abscence of conciousness, you mistakenly infer it later, because of the abscence of memories. -
This is true. In Western mysticism practitioners often start their spiritual path by mastering energetic work and spiritual abilities, because it's easier than going straight for god-conciousness like they do in the West, where the pursue of powers is often regarded as egoism and distraction.

This is it. I'm a man and I consider myself to be naturally more femenine than masculine energetically speaking, and still I often find myself displaying agressive traits. There's definetly something about the male biology that biases us towards agresiveness. It can be greately reduced and maybe even trascended with developement, of course.

Yes, I ment reaserch with materialistic goals like building new technologies and power. The Stage Orange style we're used to. Sometimes aliens are represeted like that in mainstream culture. But that's probably because society doesn't understand that advanced beings wouldn't be interested in that.

I'm not a teacher or anything, but if you are already at that level I suggest you try "separating" the scene from the empty background in which it's happening. They are ultimately one of course, but the formless aspect of conciousness has to be realised. Then, besides feeling like the entire scene, you will also feel like an infinite space inside which the scene is happening and being created. That's crossing the line beetween ego-death and god-realisation -
True. But what would their motive be? Maybe they evaluate individuals to see how advanced we are as a species and wether they can make that first contact or not. If it was for reaserch propouses, that wouldn't make them so selfless.

But what about alien abductions? There are many reports. Do you guys think they are real?

It always happens to me when I experience ego-death. Does sense of being located inside the body also vaishes? It's like your perspective shifs from being an object inside the waking conciousness, to be an infinite space in which the entire waking conciousness field is nothing but a dot. -
I dom't know the context, but it seems the "degradation" is not about your lack/abundance of femininity, but rather they are just looking for reasons to be offensive. Only you can evaluate if your masculine/feminine balance is healty.

Sounds like you are in contact with very immature men. If you can't/don't want to cut them out of your life, at least avoid these can of conversations with such simple minded people, let them be with their ignorance, it can't be helped

That's because sometimes in psychology when they use the word conciousness/self-awareness/wathever they just mean the mind's capacity to reflect upon itself, which animals don't have. They don't give much attention to actual conciousness -
Fran11 replied to QandC's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
They are thinking about conciousness like an epiphenomenon, just basic standard materialism... -
Groundlessness is a phase, it will pass. Spirituality makes you transition from acting out of egoic motivations and desires to act not seeking a particular result but as an expression of love for existance. Why does God, totally complete and perfect by itself, creates reality? Becouse of love. Why does a person who has trascended desire act? Becouse of love.

That's precisely the point, eye for an eye philosophy and unusual punishment are signs of low social developement. Death penality is not necessarily eye for an eye, it depends on how it is treated and used by a particular society. -
We are talking about legal systems here. We make it up precisely by picking these sort of things. This is unavoidable. Like I said above, allowing every member of society to have whatever kind of self-identification they have valideated by law is impracticable. Consider there are millions more examples besides the two we are using here, as many as people. I may identify as a billionarie, as a tall person, as a cow, as an orange, etc etc. Are you gonna create a law for each, or in most cases you wil appeal to respect and love from society? This requires a mature society of course, but there's no other way. We can't rush progress just by making lost of laws. The necesity for drawing a line is clear, the pleace in which it must be drawn is not, which is why these discussions arise.

What you have from birth is a sex, not a gender. Gender is social construction originally based upon sex, basically speaking, it stereotypes women as being hyper femenine and men being hyper masculine, which was so in the past mostly due to survival conditions. Nowdays, these stereotypes are slowly being revised and trascended. Again, for it to happen totally, it may take generations. By that time, what you call trans-gendering would be just chainging an irrelevant label. The mismatch that trans people percieve beetween body and mind is due to social constructions which are in permanent change. The point most people don't understand is that there are objectively no women/men's preferences/activities/bahaviour/minds. Which is why there's so much vaiety within one gender. People built stereotypes around a byologcial caracteristic like sex or age. And then want to change the meaning of a term that was originally lingustically pointing to a biological caracteristic, to a more pshychological meaning. This is not bad but it becomes irrelevant as stereotypes colapse.
