@Raptorsin7 , best of luck. Great that you've made a start. Forget your own miseries for now and keep looking for work that is worthwhile and useful. You'll find it very fulfilling.

Demeter replied to WaveInTheOcean's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WaveInTheOcean , this was an inspiring report. Thank you. Could you please fill in some background about how you first attained a breakthrough and how many times have you experienced non-duality. Do you meditate and which psychs have proved to be most useful in this regard? -
@Raptorsin7 , I read a few pages of your journal and I feel that your inward focus alone, however laudable it is in the effort you are making, will not help your depression. Emotional engagement with something outside of yourself that interests you is what will bring passion into your life and the energy that you seek. The world is going crazy right now and you could be emotionally engaged with many issues or interests. Once you find something that engages you emotionally, get busy with it and the apathy will gradually dissipate. If you don't know what could interest you, put yourself out there doing some kind of service to the community. Find out about homelessness, climate change, or other social justice issues. Try volunteering with different NGOs to find out what catches your interest. It's really no point doing loving-kindness meditations unless you take on responsibilities to make the world a better place. It is important to get emotionally, physically and mentally involved with either social and political issues or find a craft that engages you. The 3 must happen in tandem and then your chakras will open.

Demeter replied to Brandon L's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Brandon L , good question. I have tried mushrooms and Lsd twice each so far and would love to try a small dose of 5-Meo. I asked someone who advertises 1:1 sessions with it but he refused me as I have marginally high blood pressure. The blood pressure is, however, controlled through medication. The guide/sitter simply refuses to take anyone with blood pressure problems as he thinks it would be dangerous. Where does that leave me! I thought I would try a small dose on my own and am looking for advice. Please respond if you have any info regarding this or if you've tried 5-Meo on your own. How much did you take? Did you have nay health problems when you took it? Did it raise your heart rate? -
Demeter replied to Double Helix's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Double Helix , thanks for sharing your amazing experience. A few questions, please. Could you please say what was the quantity you each that you took. Had you and your wife tried tantric practices or meditation before this event? How have your lives changed since? Have you also continued with psychedelics after that, and if so, with what effect? -
@dimitri , how much was your 5-Meo-Dmt low dose? I would love to try it and I tried to ask someone who provides 5-Meo-Dmt trips on a 1:1 basis, but he declined to be my guide/sitter as I suffer from marginally high blood pressure and he said that could be fatal. Damn!

I had wonderful experiences on my first try of Lsd with a sitter. I took 300 mcg and it was revelatory, to say the least - the universe began to reveal its secrets. Then yesterday, I tried 100 mcg on my own, in the manner I had done previously, listening to a psilocybin playlist with shades on. Needless to say, I prepared for it with serious intent. I had hoped to continue the journey in a small way. As the day wore on, it became apparent to me that low doses are for earthly affairs - they deal with another important realm - your physical, emotional and mental life. The insights you get are small steps in learning about yourself and others' lives. This happened for me. For example, I became aware of people in my family who needed my support and felt their pain. It was also emotionally cathartic - I felt that I let go of many sorrows - a process that began with 3 hours of straight crying! So, in terms of evolution, the day speeded up lessons on the way to becoming a more complete, thoughtful and compassionate human being which otherwise might have taken several years. All good work! But it is the higher doses that target another level or realm - revelations of reality, the universe and your place in it. It seemed to be the case that in broad terms, the higher the dose, the higher the vantage point. This came to me as an insight but may be common knowledge here. Would you agree? But some people here have reported great enlightening experiences on their first low dose of Lsd or smoking a joint of weed. How did they get to be in that position? Previous karma which induced a state of readiness? Have you ever had breakthrough experiences from non-breakthrough doses? Would love to hear from you as to how you think they might have occurred.

@peanutspathtotruth , thank you for this beautiful advice. The experience was making me wonder if the process of healing and purification would ever be enough because there is an immensity of things that need to be healed. So, could one get stuck at that point. " So don‘t rush, take your time, and trust that when you sincerely look into your experience, you will find out what you need to find out at any given moment. This humility and openness is what paradoxically gets me much deeper than I often expect, even without psychedelics. " Yes. -

@dimitri , great post, thank you. -
Some people believe that 5-Meo makes the use of Lsd or shrooms obsolete. Presumably, these are people who are looking for a breakthrough, experience reality or non-duality. Would you agree? 5-Meo also has the advantage of being short and straight, so one doesn't need a sitter. Would very much like to hear what you think of the comparisons between Lsd and 5-Meo.

Demeter replied to Dumuzzi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Goodness! One would have thought that Gods would be above petty jealousies. After all, don't they have a consciousness which rises beyond their individual personas so that they see themselves as a collective? I wonder if channelling can tune into energies which are not Godly. -

Lovely! The channellings from Inanna are always beautiful. Thank you very much for your effort. -
Demeter replied to Dumuzzi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Dumuzzi , I am not sure I understand but it appears to be against the use of psychedelics. These must be the plants that are: "The one that gives knowledge of good and evil And grants upon you eternal life I forbade this one fruit to you" If so, I find that strange and harsh, and perhaps not coming from the eternal God. Why would any knowledge even if knowledge of good and evil be bad? Would God have wanted us to live in ignorance? -
Demeter replied to Dumuzzi's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Dumuzzi , you may have already addressed this somewhere, but could you please ask your deities about their views on the use of psychedelics in the quest to advance spiritually. I would like to know if, firstly, can psychedelics be used to activate the kundalini. If so, how best could we use them? The answer to that question would be enormously beneficial. -
Demeter replied to acurefornihilism's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura ,@acurefornihilism , from my very limited experience, it takes at least 3 weeks after a breakthrough trip to begin feeling normal again, if one can call it that. Immediately after, I felt shaky, tired, and often on the verge of tears when recalling the experiences. I couldn't settle down to everyday tasks and preferred to take walks, being out in nature, or listening to the trip playlist which was the closest I could get to the actual experiences. Later, the days became something of a roller coaster - some days I felt upbeat, blessed and keen to meditate while on others I felt low and wondered whether I would make any progress through meditation and at times even questioned the validity of my experience. Would like to hear from more people how they coped or felt after their first illuminating trips. -
Demeter replied to Verdesbird's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This topic is racist! It assumes that black men cannot be enlightened. Perhaps you should be asking how many members in this forum are African Americans. Also, I am assuming the term "Black men" is a general term that includes all people of African origin, including women. In comparison to Hindu's and Buddhists, the numbers of enlightened white men is minuscule. What does that say about white men? Does that denigrate them? -
Demeter replied to johncakecream's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It may seem as if nature's played a hand here to balance the karma but it may just be that it is caused by man's abuse of nature, his disrespect for animals, and by the choices he makes. Nature was not a conscious entity here exacting revenge. What we have is a train wreck not a carefully and judiciously planned retraction of industrial and economic activity, hence the fall-out will be enormous - the UN warns that this will lead to hunger on a scale of biblical proportions. It is not just the deaths that we need to mourn. https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/apr/21/coronavirus-pandemic-will-cause-famine-of-biblical-proportions -
Demeter replied to andyjohnsonman's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@andyjohnsonman , spiritual bypassing is a paradox indeed. It denigrates spiritual endeavours which may result from a desire to escape the injustices and miseries of life. It only allows an interest in spirituality as a way of investigating or exploring new avenues, but these too could be counted as self-improvement. Wanting to improve ourselves presupposes dissatisfaction with our current condition, therefore, the same dilemma. -
Demeter replied to EntheogenTruthSeeker's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EntheogenTruthSeeker This sounds inspirational, particularly as it came so easily to you. Did you have previous experiences on weed or acid which kinda lead to the non-dual? In other words, were there 'steps' or similar but not such enlightening experiences that prepared you along the way? What do you think opened you to experiencing the non-dual? Had you been meditating?
