It is science's goal to discover what the truth is. Today, Science's basis for discovery is external reality. This source is not sufficient to discover what truth is. We need personal, spiritual experiences to gain deeper insights of truth. Personal experiences cannot be validated by third parties, hence, they do not count as evidence in the scientific community. Science's object is invisible in this case.
How is it possible to approach spiritual insights in a scientific manner? How can external parties know if the spiritual insights someone has are of low or high quality? We assume that everyone would do spiritual practices on a daily basis and gain spiritual insights. Everyone thinks they know what the truth is. We compare all of their insights. But what when people contradict each other, how can scientists that are interested in the absolute truth, find out which resources reflect the truth the most? We cannot believe everyone as we would enter pre-rational territory and face the dangers which come with it, but we are aiming to move up the spirale. If science takes spirituality seriously, it needs new ways of discovery. How could modern science look like? How does a post-rational society look like?
