  1. I stopped cannabis because it kept me stuck in a paranoid space and didn’t have the power to push me beyond. It also interfered with ayahuasca, which is so much better for healing and mind expansion.
  2. I have found all the nutritional books out there very frustrating and contradictory. This isn’t science. As the title of this thread suggests, if it was science, there would be one answer. My strategy is to eat a balanced meal and don’t eat too much. My hunch is that the extremist diets are wrong because our bodies evolved to survive by eating from a variety of food sources.
  3. "However, by releasing large amounts of serotonin, MDMA causes the brain to become significantly depleted of this important neurotransmitter, contributing to the negative psychological aftereffects that people may experience for several days after taking MDMA." https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/research-reports/mdma-ecstasy-abuse/what-are-mdmas-effects-on-brain
  4. I knew a man at an ayahuasca ceremony, he was taking MDMA, and he couldn’t get into the aya trip, no matter what the shaman did. He told me not to take it because you crash the next day. The bliss seems to come with a price.
  5. What is creepy is the word “pick up artist”. Then anyone who wants to get better with women tends to be put under this label. But that word was just invented as a marketing tool to sell products. Call it “social skills” and don't let anyone label you.
  6. I only take medicines under ceremony in Mexico. In Mexico it is done openely and part of the culture. I definetly don’t think people with anxiety should abstain. I have met veterans of the Iraq war with PTSD at ceremonies. A Shaman knows how to guide one through a healing experience.
  7. I wear simple wax earplugs. They are comfortable and effective, and I don't have to worry about losing an expensive pair of earplugs. I can also easily adjust them when I want to hear someone. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DNFD3HM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. Science tells you how the machine works. But it doesn't tell you why there is a machine.
  9. One of Swami’s arguments is that psychedelics just give you a one-time experience which vanishes and they don’t change you or make you a better person. He is correct because he is just observing how they are flippantly used in most Western countries. But I don’t think he has looked into Shamanism as it is still being practiced by indigenous groups. For me, I look up to my Shaman as an example of someone who has become humble and wise through the use of plant medicines. In Shamanism, they are medicines and not drugs and only used as an aid to the process of awakening.
  10. I went to a Niños Santos group ceremony. This is Spanish for ¨The Holy Children” which are strong medicinal mushrooms from Oaxaca, Mexico. I took 6 grams and had a deep mystical journey. The ceremony starts at 8 pm. Saturday night and goes until Sunday morning. My intention that I formed for the ceremony was to become connected to my heart. These mushrooms do that for me more than any other medicine. The visions were breathtaking and words cannot describe their beauty. It was like having Michelangelo creating an original painting for me. The colors were vivid and the patterns were high resolution, clear, detailed and original. The ceremony was conducted by an inspired shawoman from Oaxaca. She sat beside me, blew mapacho smoke towards me to purify my body of negative energy. She worked with a bird feather waving it over my body. I could feel her energy flowing through me as she touched me with her feathers. Then I went into a magnificently colored heaven and I felt love and total connection with everything. I was receiving the message that God has created this world for our enjoyment. Everything exists because of love. My every breath is possible because of God’s love. Every molecule of my body depends on God’s love. We are supported. Everything we see and experience tells us that we are loved. We don’t have to be afraid. We are being supported and loved. The evidence is our very existence. I woke up at 4 am in the morning and the shawomen gave me Rapé, a shamanic stuff, that is delivered by a pipe and inhaled through the nose. The snuff sent me into a dark cloud where I could sleep. I am grateful to the medicine and my guides. My words do not adequately describe my experience.
  11. Psychedelics are a powerful tool, but the challenge is to integrate the experiences into your life to create real change. I only take them in ceremonies in Mexico conducted by shawmen who have been trained to use them in healing. They are called “medicines” and offered in group ceremonies. I have found the group to be an important part of the healing process. It is true that there is no magic pill, but that also applies to meditation, yoga, non duality, psychology etc. I have been meditating for years with little results. But now that marketing has gotten involved, it is hyped as a solution for everything. And people waste years on ineffective Western psychotherapy. I take the medicines because they get me into my body and avoid the useless mind chatter of other approaches. There is something to be said for the non-duality religions. The belief system acts as a glue to unite people and create a common identity. It is a form of group healing.
  12. There is a book (see link below) that claims you can combine blends of Cannabis to make it psychedelic. But, I personally don’t believe that Cannabis is psychedelic. It is no comparison to where Ayahausca takes me. I quit Cannabis because it keeps me stuck in a state of paranoia https://www.amazon.com/Psychedelic-Cannabis-Breaking-Daniel-McQueen/dp/0998320919/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Daniel+McQueen&qid=1634011599&sr=8-2
  13. I have gone to vegan restaurants before, and they cover the disgusting soy “meats” with sauces loaded with sugar to improve the taste. It is no healthier than eating a big mac.
  14. The business interests are just interested in controlling access and creating restrictions so that they can control the supply and increase their profits. I have been told that in the latest psilocybin decriminalization ballot effort for California the backers have made sure that there are no restrictions to access.
  15. Posters should be aware that this forum has an "ignore user" feature which can help you preserve your peace of mind and avoid the temptation to waste time in pointless arguments .
  16. Mushrooms connect me with the heart.
  17. It's not criminalized in Mexico or Canada. That gives you some guidance of where to look.
  18. Any rationalization which justifies mechanical death to make it easy and convenient is beyond careless.
  19. There should be trauma. The drones make it easier to kill. Someone can push a button from thousands of miles away and murder another human being without seeing and being affected by the consequences. This is another tool of technology so that the world masters can keep the boot on the neck of humanity.
  20. Correct. But the ancient knowledge was mostly forgotten. Timothy Leary flew down to Mexico after reading about Maria Sabina and mushrooms were his first psychedelic experience.
  21. They are doing well in Latin America, which has a history of using these substances, and where they have not been criminalized. Nobody knew about mushrooms until they were revealed by Maria Sabina in the 1950s. Ayahuasca comes from Peru. Bufo Alvarius is from Mexico. There is a better wealth of knowledge in Spanish that doesn’t seem to make it to the American scene.
  22. In the last two videos, the vegan commentator didn’t like Sadhguru’s responses because they contradicted his vegan beliefs. Anyone who contradicts a vegan belief will be judged equally harshly by him. Thus, I don’t see this as a persuasive example of Sadhguru behaving badly. Even though I am not a fan of Sadhguru and his willigness to pretend to be an expert on virtually any subject.
