  1. I agree. One article claims a therapist that has been disciplined for inducing false memories in clients and who started the Satanic Abuse hysteria of the 1980s, was a therapist to Teal Swan. “Some of the childhood abuse Teal says she experienced was Satanic Ritual Abuse, repressed memories she uncovered while working with therapist Barbara Snow, a central figure in the Satanic Panic of the 80s. Snow has been accused of employing scientifically unsound techniques to inspire children to testify they’d experienced Satanic Ritual Abuse and popularizing the concept, a situation that lead to the wrongful imprisonment of many (like these four Latina lesbians in Texas). To add insult to injury, the fact that doctors like Snow were found to have summoned false memories through questionable practices (like offering children candy to agree they’d experienced certain things) has since been weaponized by people attempting to discredit survivor’s true allegations of abuse when their memories of what happened aren’t crystal-clear.” https://www.autostraddle.com/the-deep-end-teal-swan-true-story/ Teal Swan and False memories https://tealswanblog.wordpress.com/2018/03/18/teal-swans-completion-process-false-memories/ People in a materialistic culture are conditioned to seek excitement, but maybe authentic teachers are boring like Eckhart Tolle. I personally don’t like psychotherapy since it has such a high potential for abuse and no scientific evidence to support its techniques.
  2. The indigenous Shaman who taught my teacher was over 100 years old.
  3. Throwing up on Ayahuasca is not like throwing up when you are sick. That means that people generally feel good even great afterwards. It is a purging of energy. You can also do dry throwing up where there is no liquid, just release of energy. Also, after throwing up you will generally go into a deeper state. If you resist it you will be miserable. That is the difference between Western and indiginous culture. In the jungles, there are hundreds of plants to make people throw up in order to cleanse the body of parisites. And children are routinely given plants to help them throw up. It is an important curative practice. The sacred tobacco is also used to induce vomit. If you want to increase the likelihood of throwing up, drink plenty of water beforehand and have the Shaman blow mapacho smoke on you.
  4. I didn't make any claim about the specific substance. I provided the general warning because of the seriousness of the consequences. I believe in natural substances. Correct advice.
  5. Stick with natural plant substances that are compatible with our biology. All it takes is one dose of the wrong synthetic to create permanent damage.
  6. There seems to be no objective way to determine these issues in a public forum. There are always points and counter-points. It’s a war of propaganda. It took 20 years for lawsuits to drive Lifespring out of business. They trained more than 400,000 people. They were the 1970s version of mass marketing of mental health/human potential. Sometimes these issues can only be resolved by the court system where strict rules of evidence are followed. The problem is if you invest heavily in the system, that is a big chunk of your life. In this case, the practical solution may be to just watch the youtube videos and take what you think is useful and don’t get further involved. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifespring
  7. The thing that disturbs me the most is that Barbara Snow was her therapist and she claims to be a victim of Satanic Ritual Abuse. Barbara Snow was a central figure of the Satanic Panic of the 1980s where the McMartins were arrested because therapists like Snow induced false memories of Ritual Abuse into vulnerable children. As a result, a panic was created through a sensationalist, irresponsible media and innocent people went to jail. “Some of the childhood abuse Teal says she experienced was Satanic Ritual Abuse, repressed memories she uncovered while working with therapist Barbara Snow, a central figure in the Satanic Panic of the 80s.” https://www.autostraddle.com/the-deep-end-teal-swan-true-story/ People need to read history because history repeats itself. McMartin preschool trial https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMartin_preschool_trial#Second_trial_and_dismissal “The prosecution then gave up trying to obtain a conviction, and the case was closed with all charges against Ray Buckey dismissed. He had been jailed for five years without ever being convicted of committing any crime.” Psychotherapy cults have been around since the 1960s and they have well tested techniques for fabrication, manipulation and control. Lifespring was around for decades until they were finally driven out of business by lawsuits. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifespring Millions of people are flocking to youtube to find direction for their lives. They are alienated and lonely separated from any community in an inhuman, materialistic society. America is a country that is intelligent but not wise.
  8. I would say that the common element is that Bufo brings you to the present moment. Not everyone is ready to go through the door to the other side. The one man I know who did it on his first Bufo trip and on a low dose, studied for 5 years in a Catholic monastery to be a priest. He was instantly there and was god.
  9. It doesn’t grasp the meaning. It is pattern recognition using neural networks. There is no model for understanding. You are making assumptions without even knowing how the program works. The program gives a response that sounds like a real human, but try asking it to solve a real problem for you. One of the first AI programs, imitated a psychotherapist, because in that domain it was possible to match every query with a response that sounded intelligent. Look at the history of AI – it is a history of hype followed by disillusionment (google “AI winter”). The talk of “sentience” just adds to the hype.
  10. The program appears to be nothing more than pattern recognition using neural networks and an enormous amount of data collected from the Internet. There is no part of the program that understands what it is saying. The interesting part of the program is that it can respond to random sentences and give a response that appears intelligent, and thus pass the Turning test. https://research.aimultiple.com/lamda/
  11. I have done a lot of Bufo Alvarius group ceremonies, and we share experiences afterwards. Every person has their own unique experience. Everyone gets what they need. It’s not a contest. The goal is to heal and not have an experience. The deepest nondual unity experience I ever heard was from my guide. Her heart stopped and they had to perform CPR to revive her. She was deciding whether to remain in bliss or go back into the dream.
  12. You should consider John Searle's "Chinese room argument" against strong AI. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_room
  13. Danza del Viento (Dance of the Wind) É Tai Tai Inti É Pacha Mama É Wanka Tanka Danza que Danza English It is Father Sun It is Mother Earth It is Great Spirit Dance this dance https://porangui.bandcamp.com/track/danza-del-viento
  14. I have degrees in Physics and Math. You asked a broad question. It depends on your goal. As for understanding the world, there are limitations. The educational curriculum focuses on learning mathematical equations and cranking out answers from those equations. The philosophy behind physics or the history of physics is mostly ignored. So, for example, if you take quantum mechanics, you will learn various solutions to Schrödinger’s equation, but all of the philosophical questions raised by Quantum Mechanics or what is says about reality will not be addressed. If you want something that requires more thought beyond technique, I suggest studying the history of science and the philosophy of science.
  15. Because in modern times, we are faced with multiple contaminations that close off our third eye. A shaman in Mexico told me that he has to give significantly more ayahuasca to people who live in the United States than Mexicans for them to enter into their journey. He believes it is because of the water. The US puts fluoride and other chemicals in the water. In Mexico, people don’t drink the tap water. They buy water in five-gallon jugs, with the water purified at the source. The bottled water doesn’t go through pipes and thus doesn’t have all the chemicals in the US water or have fluoride added. Fluoride causes pineal gland calcification, cutting you off from your intuition and third eye. https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/what-to-know-about-calcification-of-the-pineal-gland#:~:text=A research study done in,a hard shell called calcification. https://medium.com/mystic-minds/i-can-see-clearly-424cfe0196c1 In addition to all the chemicals, we are saturated with information, most of it useless or negative. We are raised in materialistic societies that focuses all our attention outward. Our minds are abused and blocked. We live in cities and are out of contact with nature. It is of interest to worldly powers to limit our consciousness to control us. Our ancestors were much more connected with their intuition and themselves. As evidenced in ancient sacred texts, people would talk to gods, have visions, and intuit revelations of ultimate truth, like the rishis did.
  16. When I lived in Mexico, I worked out with an ex professional boxer who had to quit boxing because his doctor told him that he was vulnerable to retinal detachment. So he made a living teaching boxing. Boxing is great for conditioning you to take a blow, but it is hard on the head. The philosophy of traditional Japanese Karate has been that if your training gives you permanent injuries, that makes you weaker not stronger. Traditional Japanese Karate makes you strong while avoiding major injuries.
  17. I actually don’t like the idea of “fat acceptance”, but Jordan Peterson’s snarky response is evidence that he is immature and not qualified to be a clinical psychologist – his chosen profession. Ridiculing a woman in public doesn’t help her change, but shows an unhealthy urge to cruelty. Why doesn’t he address the real issue which is the American diet and the horrible chemical, sugar laden food in America that is making everyone obese (not just women)? Instead he promotes a ridiculous all meat diet, showing he has even less knowledge of basic nutrition than he has of psychology.
  18. I’m glad to hear somebody agrees with me that Campbell is awful. I was once in a spiritual men’s group, and everyone was gushing about how wonderful Campbell was and how he has revealed the beauty of metaphor in ancient stories and beliefs. I asked them if they realized that some of the stories they thought were beautiful involved people actually being sacrificed. That people were killed. That those who followed these beliefs didn’t see them as metaphors but as actual fact. They wouldn’t talk to me anymore.
  19. I do all my ceremonies in Mexico. My guide was trained by a respected Shaman in Mexico City.
  20. Preparing for 5-meo by using another psychedelic is a waste of time and doesn’t work. The experience is too different. If you want to start, I recommend finding a competent guide you can trust. I have attended many group Bufo ceremonies and have seen many beginners do just fine, because the guide was competent and, in addition, gave an appropriate dose for a beginner.

  22. Below you will find two sites you can view to see traditional Japanese Karate. Shotokan Sensei has excellent Shotokan technique. Jesse Enkamp trained in Okinawa.
  23. I found it’s better to keep things simple. “There is no end to the making of many books, and much study wearies the body”. (Ecclesiastes 12:12). Dancing is social and physical. The people who you meet tend to be more social and not stuck in their heads. Also, partner dancing is an excellent way to interact with women. You have to learn how to lead a woman smoothly, and it is a valuable skill that you learn. When you are a good leader, they love it. I have women coming up to me asking me to dance. Heal yourself by interacting with other people rather than reading books. We are the medicine.
  24. Self help and psychology books are worthless. I find dancing to be more effective. Take classes in Salsa and Bachata.
